Thats pretty interesting...alot more time examining the trailer than I actually did. I actually thought that scene from the end where his mask is torn up was taken from Spiderman 2 when he was fighting Doc Ock but I guess I was wrong.

What does it say, anyway? I don't have sound down here for at least another day.

it breaks the movie down a little.... at the end the guy starts talking about venom's role..... every scene with black webing in it is venom's.... every scene with mary jane the flying cars and a riped up spider suit is a fight with venom and the scene with him on his back reaching up shows him with black web around his neck

Well, it certainly does back up those statements that they aren't showing Venom because they don't want to give away a minor element at the end....

Which also can be seen in the ONE press shot of venom strangling spidey with the wed....GOD DAMN IT LET MAY 3rd COME ALREADY

Was this thing made by Brak's dad? I only watched a small portion of the beginning of it but stopped because the guy was automatically assuming that the trailer was set in chronological order, and then made wild assumptions about the plot from segments so short they might as well be single frames of film.

Generally, movie trailers aren't meant to give you the entire plot of the movie. If they did, any idiot with a latin accent could tell you what happens and you could save your 8 bucks.

Y'know, all this stuff about 3 more Spider-Man movies better be true. If not three more then AT LEAST one more, just dedicated to Venom. Hobgoblin/Green Goblin 2 and Sandman AND Venom all in one movie would be WAY too much. But if they don't make a forth one for Venom then it'll feel like he isn't such a major player.

They could give Venom a spin-off movie.

Wouldn't be the same without at least one more Spider-Man movie.

Since this is the third movie im really hoping they dont leave it with one of those cliff hanging endings like they did POTC...after Playing God of War 2 Ive begun to be pissed at those types of endings.

Venom looks mostly faithful to the 90s rendition.

I saw the toys today in kmart, he looks pretty good for the most part.

I hope they do a Spiderman movie with Carnage in it. just so I can show off the tat of him on my right arm.

In all fairness, venom was the best villian in terms of popularity but seriously, you couldnt FUCK with carnage by yourself, you needed MULTIPLE superheros to beat that fucker.

theres another generation of the symbiot called toxin and apparently he is a good guy and can take out venom and carnage by himself

i hate to say it but after the "planet of the symboites" series in spiderman (the entire EARTH gets infected with the symboit and carnage hits damn near galactus size) they kinda killed it with the spin offs.

Yeah, Marvel really got carried away with the whole symbiote thing back in the day. Now I don't think there are any of the original ones left (Venom left Eddie Brock for Mac Gargan/Scorpion, Carnage got ripped in half by Sentry, and all the others just kinda faded into the background)

Anyway, as for the movie, I did happen to read the novelization (because I'm impatient) and in that one, Venom's only in the last act of the story. But then, the novel of Superman Returns was pretty different (read: better) than the movie, so who knows.
