The One, who ARE your top 50 wrestlers?
Since Bret Hart doesnt make your top 50. I'm rather curious.
|
Not an exact order, but it's safe to assume the higher up the list, odds are the more I liked them...Also this is off the top of my head, so I may have accidentaly overlooked some people. I can safely say I would put every single one of these people (and many more honestly) over Bret.
Ric Flair Shawn Michaels Billy Gunn Chris Jericho Tully Blanchard Kevin Nash Steve Austin Mick Foley JBL Roddy Piper Harley Race Triple H The Rock Ricky Steamboat Kurt Angle Barry Windham Raven Arn Anderson Jerry Lynn Dean Malenko Taz Scott Hall Sting Terry Funk Rob Van Dam Davey Boy Smith Undertaker Chris Benoit Magnum TA Eddie Guerrero Sean Waltman Shane Douglas Christopher Daniels Kerry Von Erich Ted DiBiase Jeff Jarrett Juvi Guerrera Dusty Rhodes Scott Steiner Road Dogg Brian Pillman Jerry Lawler Sabu Diamond Dallas Page Chavo Guerrero Christian Tommy Dreamer Randy Savage Jimy Snuka Sandman |
lol stfu
|
Actually, that's not a bad list, I already remember Andre and Alex Shelley. But honestly, I never got into Bret. Really the only matches of his that I enjoyed were his matches with Austin and Michaels.
|
Jeff Jarrett, X-pac, Road Dogg and Sandman are all ahead of Hart? WOW.
|
Based on character, how much of a markish reaction they can draw from me, and matches of theirs that I've liked...yeah...they are all ahead of Hart. Truthfully, I found Bret painfully boring for most of his career.
|
But the Road Dogg? Honestly...
|
Can't fault me for that. New Age Outlaws are my favorite tag team of all time. He gets on the list out of default for that alone...
|
Together, sure. But separately? Hell naw.
Even now, this whole VKM thing is like shitting on what made them great. |
Yes it is. But he had 3 years with Billy that I loved. Hart had a few months with Michaels and Austin. Outside of those...negative.
|
Who ARE, you fucking jerk.
|
Huh???
|
To Rectal. About the thread title.
It's like jamming scissors into my eyeballs. |
Didn't realise you were such a grammer mark.

Why dont you jam them in our eyes so we dont have to see you post. |
Raven Tazz Juvi Guerrero? wow.
|
this thread has been fucked up by retarded jackasses

but Juvi what the hell Tovo and Jarrett? Were you drunk? |

How is Nash not #1

He's #2. As in, he's a piece of shit.

:wtf:

As for Jarrett, my support of him has always been well known. I loved his "Don't Piss Me Off" time in WWE, and his "Chosen One" era of WCW was fantastic, IMO. This was asking me who my personal top 50 are, no where did I imply that these should be regarded as the top 50 performers ever, nor do I give a shit if you agree with anyone on the list. Remember, this list is coming from a guy who's user name is based off a gimmick Billy Gunn had. It's my personal favs, so fucking blow me if you disagree with it. |

First of all I'm gonna vouch for Road Dogg. Loved the NAO and loved Road Dogg in his singles career from 98-2000. It's not that he's Flair in the ring, it's just that during that time frame, I, like Tovo, was a mark for his character and performances. He was damn over. But seriously, how can you tell him who entertains him and who doesn't. It's not like he's saying Bret is untalented, he just personally didn't like him. |
the One is just trying to be difficult.
|
Bret Hart never really had any character. He was just :|
Road Dogg was    X-Pac was :naughty: Taz was  :foc: And Lita was  ^ |
Brock Lesnar, IMO, didn't have character and wasn't entertaining to me. I didn't really like him but I'm sure he'd be somewhere on my Top 50.

I wasn't a huge Owen fan either but he was the goods in the ring

I wanna name my 50 favorite performers
|
OK, than officially...Jeritron (and anyone else interested) who are you top 50 personal favorite performers?
|
Be my guest.

Jericho
Shawn Michaels Austin Rowdy Roddy Piper Flair Rock Foley HHH Angle Chris Benoit Tazz RVD Sabu Mr. Perfect Ricky Steamboat Raven Perry Saturn Rey Mysterio Randy Savage Rick Rude Bret Hart Kevin Nash Undertaker Goldust Road Dogg/Billy Gunn/NAO Xpac Edge Christian Lance Storm Jeff Hardy/Matt Hardy Kane Booker T DDP Jesse The Body Ventura Ted Dibiase Scott Hall Jerry Lynn British Bulldog Eddie Guerrero Road Warrior Hawk & Animal Sting Brian Pillman Tommy Dreamer Samoa Joe CM Punk Christopher Daniels Dudleys (2) This was actually pretty thrown together, I think its 50... |
^ Good lists. I think I might leave Hart out too, or he would be 45-50, not anywhere near the top.
|
I dont think I can pick a #1...So here's Top 5 all bracketed together...
1-5. Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Rob Van Dam, Christopher Daniels, The Rock 6. Steve Austin 7. Ric Flair 8. Chris Jericho 9. Sting 10. Booker T 11. Brian Pillman 12. Hulk Hogan (even though I'm not too fond of him anymore, cant deny what he once was) 13. Kevin Nash 14. Scott Hall 15. Ricky Steamboat 16. Lance Storm 17. The Undertaker 18. Mick Foley 19. DDP 20. Sabu 21. Jerry Lynn 22. Piper 23. Taz(z) 24. Curt Henning 25. Goldberg (another guy that was the sh*t in his prime) 26. Kurt Angle 27. Edge 28. Eddie Guerrero 29. Alex Shelley 30. Samoa Joe 31. AJ Styles 32. Christian (Cage) 33. Jeff Hardy 34. Ravishing Rick Rude 35. Raven 36. CM Punk 37. Senshi 38. Rey Mysterio Jr. 39. Greg/Shane Helms 40. Matt Hardy 41. X-Pac 42. Chris Benoit 43. Perry Saturn 44. Tommy Dreamer 45. Bret Hart 46. Kane 47. Road Dogg 48. Dean Malenko 49. Billy Gunn 50. Billy Kidman |
^ That is a very rough ranking, If i was asked to list it again in 10 minutes without seeing my old list I would probably have the same people but in a little different order. Its very difficult for me to say who is exactly where.
|
I personally cannot see how one can not have Bret Hart in their top 50 wrestlers of all time, but I'm not about to argue about it. All I wanted to hear was your top 50, and you did it so more props to you for putting your money where your mouth is. Completely don't agree with you on most of those people being above Bret Hart, but thats your list not mine.
|
How can guys put Sandman, Styles, CM pUnk, Samoa Joe and even Lance Storm above Bret?
|
Because we felt like it. I didn't put anyone above Bret, he was easily in my top 50. Mine wasn't ordered.
But its personal favorites based on entertainment, some people chose not to list Bret OMGZZ. Get over it. |
Quote:
No Hogan Either??? Probably just "slipped" your mind. If not, you fuckin really took a huge shit on that list. IMO. :foc: |
lol He hates Hogan with a passion but really, lol @ Sandman.

I'm not trying to come off as Tovo's sworn protector, but seriously. What the FUCK don't you people get about "your top 50 personal favorites" It could be all people who wrestled on heat for all anyone cares, it's his personal favorites. There's no right answer. Just because you don't agree doesn't mean someone can't list them as a personal favorite based on their own entertainment. If someone said "Over the years, Kurgann has entertained me more than Ric Flair" would they be wrong? I'd disagree with them personally based on my preferences, but since it's not gauging ability, status, accomplishments, recognition, drawing ability or anything tangible, you can't fault any answer. It's personal enjoyment. Not to mention the thread was called for him to do so and he did. |
It's also harder than you may think to list 50 favorite wrestlers. The list begins to wear thin at some point, so if you honestly think it's absurd to list the likes of Hall, Nash, Tazz, NAO and DDP in that list, I'd like to see yours.
I wouldn't critcize it, but lets see it. Trust me, you'll be able to fall prey to your own mockery once you get to the 30-50 mark because very few are as beloved as The Rock and HBK. |

Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute.........
Is this list supposed to be Top 50 or Favorite 50....... If it's top 50.......... that list is shit. Agree??? I thought so. Favorite 50........... I guess all we can do is rag on them for their opinions. |
Quote:
Which i was basically asking for him to name the 50 wrestlers he thinks were better then Bret Hart. It's very clearly stated in the topic " top 50 " |
Quote:
I think that list is more of his favs than top 50. Hell lets ask him.... Which is it One???? Fav 50 or Top 50??? |
It's my Top 50.

There is a HUGE difference between Your Top 50 and Your Favorite 50. For instance, Your Favorite 50 doesn't include Hart or Hogan. On the other hand, Your Top 50 Should include Hart and Hogan. Bottom line, that is YOUR FAVORITE 50 and with some of those chosen, ALOT of us disagree. That's the fun of it!!!! |
Quote:
OK, say they are your faves, or preferred wrestlers, not those who are actually better than him. And if you already have, sorry but I didnt read that yet obviously. And if so, still..how can anyone like some of those guys? |
Jesus Christ, are you fuckers retarded?!?! How could it be MY list, if it didn't include people who I like? The list is who I like, not who you like. So get the fuck off my dick.
Whatever, I'm done coming in this thread...talk about whatever you want from this point forward, but FOR THE LAST FUCKING TIME, THIS IS MY LIST OF WHO I LIKE, NOT WHO SHOULD BE REGARDED AS THE BEST OF ALL TIME. |
I stopped reading your list as soon as I saw Billy Gunn...
Nothing personal... |

Those of you giving him a hard time should STFU, it's his list. Shit, Bret Hart probably wouldn't make my top 50 Either if we're looking at my opinion, and the total package, not just technical prowess.
