I said that isn't post-career. The man has every reason to be bitter right about now, and while I don't necessarily agree with the way he's dealing with things, I really couldn't imagine being in his shoes.

While he was active, he was one of the very best and never tried to fuck anybody over. He always showed up to work, never hurt anybody, and did exactly what he was told (barring the Shawn Michaels incident, which he was STILL willing to compromise, just worked out a little differently).

He's done pretty much no harm to the wrestling community and before his life turned into a shit cyclone, he seemed like a pretty stand up guy. What's so bad that people in this thread think that Bret Hart fans are "cocksuckers"? Don't you think that's a bit of a stretch?

Promising to drop the title after you leave the company is a completely fair compromise. Vince really had nothing to worry about with Bret showing up on WCW television with the WWF Title around his waist. Everyone other person that showed up on WCW television with a WWF title carried the title with respect. :wtf:

I'm totally open to discussion. I guess maybe I just don't know the whole story if so many people are hating Bret Hart now. I've never noticed this kind of Bret Hart hatred before around here.

I really don't hate the whole Hart group, I just always felt that the various members of the Kliq were better entertainers and much more fun to watch. I also think that Canada shouldn't be considered a real country and will give reasons to back that up, and as they continually extolled the virtues of that land, it gives me reason to dislike them more.

Bret Hart was a whinny little bitch before Montreal, and good god was it bad in WCW. And if you ask me, Bret Screwed Bret, unquestionably. So personally, I don't think he has anything to be pissy about (other than his brother dying, but that was a reak accident).

While he was active, he was fine putting over his friends and family (much like the Kliq was fine putting other Kliq guys over) but really, other than Austin, who did Bret ever put over that wasn't related to him that he didn't get huffy puffy about (see: Shawn Michaels)

Doing no harm, I agree. He didn't hard it. He helped it. But the same could be said about every single member of the Kliq. They all helped, hell their real life feuds helped bring the Internet Wrestling Community together and gave it life.

The reason this all started was the "Who do you side with in these real life feuds" or whatever it was called. Some sided with Michaels, others with Hart, and perhaps inevitably, battle lines were drawn in the sand and people began alligning with their chosen side. Accept it, have fun with it, like I said, Michaels/Hart is probably one of, if not THE biggest reason the internet wrestling community was ever created.

Given that WCW, not Bret, would be calling the shots and Vince's history with WCW, you point becomes moot.

Basically, Bret showing up on WCW with the title was not an option. Name one time a title has shown up in another promotion (not called WW(F)E) and been treated with respect.

By that point, the NWA and WCW were two different titles, and while yes Flair was stripped of the NWA Title when he signed with WWE, he did NOT bring the NWA Belt. So, try again and come back later.
