What's the allure? He's boring and bland. He has stupid pants. He's bow-legged. Why does he have so many fans?

I enjoyed him during the Mattitude era, and when he was trying to cut weight to become a cruiser, but THAT'S IT.

Somebody make me a Matt Hardy fan.

Nah, Hardy sucks. I can't convince you to like someone who's biggest success comes from being the older less cool brother of a guy who has seisures and falls of ladders.

He always seems to get a pretty big pop, though.

I remember the last Smackdown I went to, it felt like he got the biggest pop of the night. I was truly befuddled.

His ex girlfriend cheated on him with his best friend, it's like 95% sympathy pop and 5% of a "Hey I could totally be that guy!" pop.

What's there to sell on? If he was the Old Hardy Boys Matt, or the V1/Mattitude Matt, or something pre-Amy Dumas, I'd be slobbering up for some fellatio, but the guy's been boring as fuck for ages now.

Nah Hardy is real over with people even though despite all of the times he has been buried and jobbed out. I think that says a lot about Matt Hardy right there.

It's not really brain surgery. He's over for the same reason Jeff is, they were in the Hardy Boys. The fans love that and they loved them, and still do.

He gets a C- in charisma. An F in mic skills and a D+ in ring skills. Total, he's a peice of crap who got over because his brother was willing to take big bumps.

Steve Corino has some good mic skills, but no real charisma.

Lashley doen't ooze charisma. But he has it. I only used him because he first came to mind as somebody with charisma and no mic skills.

How about, Benoit. Or Jeff Hardy in some ways.

I gave an example of charisma and the big man in another thread. Most big men are more physical presence than actual charisma. I feel Lashley is a prime example of this, because he's big, but his charisma is limited.

Matt Hardy is a fucking ring general. How people can give him a D+ in ring skills is just absurd. He's not the best thing ever, but he's more than competent. I'd give him B+ in terms of ring skills. Actually, I'd say he crossed over into A- territory long ago.

His mic skils may be a failing grade, but he has charisma. Anyone who experienced Mattitude knows that. The guy got over for a reason. Plus his pants are awesome.

Matt Hardy's Report Card:

Ring Skills: A-
Mic Skills: C-
Charisma: B+

All in all, Matt Hardy comes up looking pretty solid.

Matt Hardy is an odd subject for sure, because he has just been around for so damn long.

Almost sounds to me, like he gets pops because people simply know the name.

He's nothing special in the ring, but he's not anything horrible to watch.

Seriously, having the ability to make people relate to/feel sorry for you isn't a bad thing in this business.
