I'm putting this up WAY early, hopefully someone will garner intrest in it. Looks like a good show. I'm gonna watch online for free (obviously). I'd check it out.

RGWhat316 04-29-2007 07:19 PM

Well, I'm going to be going to a friend's house to watch it. Probably be back later with some thoughts. Though I do think the US and Women's titles are definitely switching.

mannydamnxpacrock 04-29-2007 07:20 PM

Any sites to watch it for free? I don't find it worth the money to order.

CSL 04-29-2007 07:24 PM

Wouldn't be completely suprised if Cena dropped the belt.

Disturbed316 04-29-2007 07:26 PM

Getting it free so I'll be watching this one.

Disturbed316 04-29-2007 07:30 PM

Just noticed how out of date that picture of Umaga is.

He still has the IC title in the pic.

CSL 04-29-2007 08:30 PM

LoL. Completely forgot he'd dropped that.

Londoner 04-29-2007 08:38 PM

Watching this free on Sky tonight, should help take my mind off of things, wrestling always seems to be good for that. Cant be fucked with getting drunk now though.

So Jimmy don't suppose you have a link you feel like being generous with?

St. Jimmy 04-29-2007 09:01 PM

Nah, I'm stealing it through non internet means.

Pissbreak to start the night is always good. *sigh*

CSL 04-29-2007 09:07 PM

Crowd seem pretty into it.

Londoner 04-29-2007 09:13 PM

This match is dragging on a bit, have decided to start drinking as a result, shame i didnt buy anymore.

Edit: Thank god thats over, decent match but a bit too long.

St. Jimmy 04-29-2007 09:15 PM

That should count for tipsters as a Twist of Fate/Swanton combo

CSL 04-29-2007 09:15 PM

Hardyz win. Meh finish.

St. Jimmy 04-29-2007 09:16 PM

Maximum points for me in tipsters so far then.

Getting it free on Sky tonight, woo.

I enjoyed that match, Cade and Murdoch impress me more and more as I see more of them.

Vince is going for an ABT thing here.

Murdoch seems to have lost weight and that might be why, he seems more able to move around the ring these days, why he was ever signed in the state he was in in the first place is beyond me.

Londoner 04-29-2007 09:20 PM

Two piss break matches out the way first, not a bad idea i guess, wish i brought some more beer though, ugh.

St. Jimmy 04-29-2007 09:22 PM

Why is Mickie James wearing pants? THIS IS AN OUTRAGE.

Strange how they haven't mentioned the change of title in France dispite WWE seemingly accepting it as official.

Hey, they actually put it in the record books, usually they would have just ignored it. It's a welcome change.

Better Than You 04-29-2007 09:28 PM

Brawling from the splits, awesome.

Londoner 04-29-2007 09:30 PM

2 out of 2 in tipsters for me now, good match surprisingly.

Better Than You 04-29-2007 09:32 PM

Nice match.

Kennedys winning tonight. Calling it now.

CSL 04-29-2007 09:33 PM

Also, Edge is god.

And his new tee is bad ass.

lort 04-29-2007 09:34 PM

Kennedy cashing in? Now that would be awesome.

CSL 04-29-2007 09:35 PM

KENNEDYYYYYYYYYYYYY.

Don't think he's gonna get the belt though.

Londoner 04-29-2007 09:36 PM

Or maybe they'll just tease this for a while.

Londoner 04-29-2007 09:38 PM

Gonna be fucking good this. MVP V Benoit next.

Better Than You 04-29-2007 09:38 PM

They should tease it for months.

Better Than You 04-29-2007 09:39 PM

MVP v Benoit... he's hoping Benoit is well rested. Gonna have to bust his ass tonight. How much does MVP weigh?

CSL 04-29-2007 09:39 PM

Time for MVP to get the US title. In Benoit's 'hometown' as well.

MVP now. I just don't understand his blow-up tunnel.

Cole is stuttering tonight.

Londoner 04-29-2007 09:42 PM

I hope we haven't seen the best from these two already tbh.

Londoner 04-29-2007 09:43 PM

Nice match ever since i posted that, action just picked up.

Whilst I normally can't stand it, MVP's gear tonight doesn't look bad.

Londoner 04-29-2007 09:47 PM

I've never minded MVP's gear, looks a bit odd on him i guess but its not as bad as its been made out to be.

CSL 04-29-2007 09:47 PM

Power ranger chant :D

Mr. Nerfect 04-29-2007 09:47 PM

Were JR and King calling the Women's Title match (I can't think of a reason why they wouldn't be)? That explains why they didn't mention the title change. Senile cunts.

MVP is the fucking man, but I don't want to see him get the US Title here tonight. I think it would be better if they had Benoit retain, and kept this thing going for even longer. MVP started off by knowing the Crossface in and out (it would be good if the announcers revealed he used to use the move in his developmental days), so Benoit had to take to the skies with the Air Benoit. Then MVP countered that and won a non-title match. I didn't see their latest affair, but I'm not counting that on the level of their WrestleMania, 20-minute SmackDown! and Backlash matches. So the logical transgression would be to put Benoit over here, when he counters MVP's heel roll-up, and slaps MVP in the Crippler Crossface, or something.

Jeritron 04-29-2007 09:50 PM

If Cena loses the belt tonight, I will shave my head... and I mean it. I also have hair plenty of hair at the moment

Londoner 04-29-2007 09:51 PM

5 german suplexes..was hoping for about 8 or something..MVP counters headbutt into submission hold on Benoits leg, great match this.

Mr. Nerfect 04-29-2007 09:51 PM

What is MVP's attire like tonight? I personally like his costumes, they're very Kurt Angle-ish. I'm not too big on some of the colour shemes, though. The wardrobe department really needs to get their shit together, and put MVP in compliementary colours, or something. Purple and silver is just...yeck.

Please, WWE, let MVP bust out the Live from the 305. That move would be fucking insane.

Oh, and if Kennedy referenced cashing in tonight, I doubt he will. Which match did he tease going into? It won't be the one he hinted it was.

Londoner 04-29-2007 09:52 PM

Benoit wins with the small package pin.

lort 04-29-2007 09:52 PM

Can't have a PPV without a roll-up.

Better Than You 04-29-2007 09:53 PM

crazy

CSL 04-29-2007 09:53 PM

Wow. Benoit wins.

Londoner 04-29-2007 09:54 PM

Not good for me in tipsters. Ah well.

Mr. Nerfect 04-29-2007 09:54 PM

Benoit winning was an easy call. I predicted submission, though. I rarely call roll-ups, though. Doesn't surprise me in the slightest. :y:

Jeritron 04-29-2007 09:54 PM

good. Everyone's all of a sudden on MVP's dick because he gets carried to a few decent matches by Benoit.

And here's Cena.

He was teasing chashing in to get the WWE Championship. Wished Edge luck in winning and hoped he doesn't tire himself out too much.

Londoner 04-29-2007 09:56 PM

LOL@That segment with Cena and Orton..DAMN

Mr. Nerfect 04-29-2007 09:56 PM

I've predicted all the winners, but I've only got two "How"s right, and I haven't called the move correctly in the one I did. Ah well, still picking up a few points here and there.

Better Than You 04-29-2007 09:57 PM

Was that begining of the burial of Randy Orton?

Um, MVP has been doing his fair share of the work. At risk of sounding blasphemous, one could argue that MVP has crossed the 50% line and is actually carrying most of the matches.

I agree. People should stop being so judgmental and just let him perform, if he does shit, criticise him, but if he does well then he deserves praise imo.

I just don't like MVP and even if he puts in a decent match with a great opponent, it's not enough to convince me otherwise that he's suddenly something special or entertaining. He's cheesy and bland as all hell, and even what he's done as of late has been blown up into the most overrated shit. Suddenly there's an MVP bandwagon and everything he does is getting over hyped and everyones jumping on. Then it gets to the point where he is awesome and can do no wrong so smarks eat it all up. It's pretty typical

I agree but he's still not that great, and he's becoming a bandwagon overhpyed IWC flavor of the week who's done little more than have 1 or 2 good matches with Benoit. His gimmick sucks and he's annoying as fuck to see on my screen.

I love Shane O'Mac. He could win the ECW title it would be great. They should bring back the Mean Street Posse too - those guys were hillarious.

The crowd are dead, hardly any boos for Vince.

Londoner 04-29-2007 10:04 PM

And fuck i just realised i forgot to tape this PPV, ugh, ill tape the replay if its worth it.

Better Than You 04-29-2007 10:07 PM

I think MVP has a fine gimmick, he's just not that great from bell to bell. Watching the match at Mania was painful. Benoit was working REAL hard, and MVP was barely keeping up, even to the point of Benoit having to slow down to not loose him.

ANd then I come on here. Everyone is praising MVP. Why? Benoit BUSTED HIS ASS to make him look decent. And you all praise MVP? Crazy.

Maybe if he can overhaul his whole schtick and have an impressive match with someone else (that isn't overblown and overhpyed) then I'll take notice. But as of now I'm watching the same thing as you are and I see a power ranger with athletic talent but not much more having a DECENT series of matches with Benoit.
If he can do it with someone else who isn't as established for carrying people to great matches and shitting out quality when the bell rings, then I'll take serious notice.

Samoa Joe? CM Punk? Mr Kennedy? Bryan Danielson? Matt Hardy? Some Japanese Guy? AJ Styles? Alex Shelley? Austin Aeris/Starr? Spanky? Paul London? MVP? Carlito? Kenny? Sabin? Nitro? Shelton? Gregory Helms?

I think the reason the MVP love has been so great as of late, is because people didn't expect it. For people who have seen his DSW or house show work, the guy has proven himself to have levels of awesomeness. I wouldn't say he's the best ever, or anything, but he's got a great build, great skill for said build, and he's got so many cool moves up his sleeve, the guy could make every match like sex if the WWE let him.

Unfortunately, when he came into the WWE his debut was against Marty Garner (most famous for taking Triple H's Pedigree as an inadvertent double underhook piledriver). Then he feuded with Kane. Now I love Kane, but he's not exactly the world's most brilliant technician. Putting MVP into a feud with him isn't going to show the world what Antonio Banks is capable of.

He's not perfect in any area, yet. When he goes twenty minutes or so, his matches have a lot of stalling. He has to get that down before he can truly be the great performer he is shaping up to be. His promos could also use a little more zest. They aren't horrible, but they aren't brilliant. He's got potential in that area, though, so given time, he could perfect that area.

All in all, like him or not, looking at things unbiased, you have to admit MVP is at least a B+ level talent, with potential to climb. For a guy that has had like two feuds since coming to the WWE, that is pretty impressive shit. We're not just talking about a Paul London or Brian Kendrick, who have enormous amounts of talent, could do what any main eventer does just as well, but won't ever get the chance; MVP actually has a shot at being a top guy. In a sea of Bobby Lashleys and John Cenas, a Montel Vontavious Porter is a welcome change.

Jeritron 04-29-2007 10:13 PM

He needs to drop the T.O meets Power Ranger gimmick too

I just have a less judgmental mindset than you i think, fair enough though thats your opinion, i hated him at first but he's grown on me before his matches with Benoit. Unlike most, I expected those matches to be good, the way MVP is built makes it easier for Benoit to get a good match out of him.

You could have been talking about any of them...

LMAO! I love the way you take shots at us for liking guys with talent in a field we like to watch.

If you like movies, take an interest in the craft of acting, and notice Ryan Gosling is one of the brightest up-and-comers in that industry, why the fuck wouldn't you support him? Why the fuck wouldn't you like him? Why the fuck wouldn't you try and talk him up to people who are willing to listen.

If you aren't willing to listen to wrestling fans discussng the bright starts of wrestling, you might as well stop watching, or have ended your life back in the early 1990's, when Ric Flair stopped being relevent. He himself is an overrated cock. Chop block, Figure Four, yay. The end.

Everyone has their flaws, just because a lot of people see the good doesn't make them overrated. Just because you're jealous because you went nowhere in the business, and those guys have fans, simply because they're probably just better than you, doesn't make them bland.

By your logic, anyone with talent is overrated. Fuck off. Overrated is when a person isn't as good as they are made out to be. The guys you listed, and I don't want to call your opinion wrong, are as good as they are made out to be. Stop being such a bitter fuck just because people like to talk about talented guys.
