The 360 guitar is terrible. It's so uncomfortable and the point comes up just where your arm usually rests on the guitar. Don't know why anyone would prefer that over the old one.

My arms rests on that little part that comes up....I cant seem to rest it on the PS2 controller...plus the square buttons fill a little better than those Circular Square ones on the PS2.

Yeah, I hate the 360 controller. It is so awkward, and I hate the buttons. You can't slide your fingers on and off of them as easy as with the PS2 guitar. They also 'click' when pushed, which I hate because it just throws off everything that I'm used to on the PS2 guitar.

I'll be happy if there's more than the mass of primarily hair metal I'm foreseeing. I'd like to see Queen and Metallica on here.

When the Guitar Hero guys announced the songs I typed above they also made it clear that the official song list was pretty much done...they were just focusing on getting a certain song from a big name band..

They didnt name the band but if its one of the big name ones fans have been talking about then it might finally be Master of Puppets from Metallica or Stairway.....but I doubt its either of the two...

Stairway came out in 1971...

The Who had a few decent songs in the 80s. I mean, no "Who Are You" or "My Generation," But "You Better, You Bet," "Emminence Front," and "The Quiet One" are all good tunes.

Considering Crüe and Van Halen both had songs on GHII, I wouldn't expect them to be on here. I'm pretty sure no artist has been used on GH twice as of yet. But we'll see, for they certainly are 80s.

Bought GH2 for 360 2 days ago, I am loving it!
the track packs are abit pricey thou, 500 for 3 songs...

The pricing makes sense, though.

They originally didn't want to include the tracks because of licensing fees, and then people pissed and moaned. But they still have to relicense the tracks, and that's expensive.

God I pray for that.......

after watching the videos I still cant wait for Holy Diver...while I guess that the video was either no hard (due to the final note) or hard (due to holding three notes at once), It seems like it will be an easy song. But I will probably play it over and over again.

When I told my cousin the list of songs he told me that Holy Diver was gonna be my "Carry on my wayward son" of this game. I played that Kansas song over and over again non stop.

I have just read that apparently "I want Candy" had been taken out of the game. Word going around is that it was removed because they were gonna go ahead and throw "The Trooper" by Iron Maiden in its place. No word yet on if "The Trooper" is official for this game.

Also its been noted on various websites that besides the 30 tracks in the game there will also be atleast one unlockable song that is unlocked after you complete career mode. No word yet on what song it is or whether more songs will be ablt to be unlocked.

Damn, I want this game just for the "Play With Me" solo.

"Wayward Son" is one of my faves; I use it to end my 'set'. Speaking of that, they should have a concert mode where you choose a set of songs to play one after another.

I totally agree.....they can do it to where after you finish a song you get a little pause that asks you if you want to continue, so you can give your fingers a break. Or they could have an endurance like mode where you pick a few songs, or the game picks them for you and you have to play them back to back with out stopping. After the first song ends the second one starts like a few seconds after that.

My guess is that they will release some songs every once in a while as downloadable content for the GH2 game.

It pisses me off that they released Guitar Hero 2 on the 360 with the big thought on "Downloadable Content"...when the only downloadable content are songs from the first game.

Yeah I got it. Dig most of the songs. I've only done the Medium career mode, and about a quarter of hard. But I like it.

police truck is the best of those songs.

I fucking suck at hammer ons and pull offs. Only completed 9 songs on hard. Determined to master expert tho so I can get the ps2 version and hack it to play metroid metal.

So I went and picked it up early yesterday morning and Ive been playing it ever since. I only stopped to go to work last night......

I am actually disapointed in the game because for the price of $50....or $40 if you purchased it from Best Buy, all you really get is 30 new songs. The venues are only changed slightly and its hard to realize what has been changed. There is only one unlockable character....and a horrible glitch to where he is playing the wrong instrument half the time.

When I started playing GH 1 after playing GH2, I couldn't figure out why people said HO and POs were so bad. The only thing that fucs me up is that my strumming rhythm tends to suck, so I miss the timing on the first note too often.

Since we're dropping names, musically speaking, I'd love to see someone do this one...

What pisses me off, is that Activision hasn't even acknowledged that the 360 exists with this game. They havn't said a thing about it. If its not going to come out at as DLC at least tell us. Don't ignore the 360 owners altogether.

On a related note the DLC as a whole for this game has been pretty dissapointing. Before the game came out, the big appeal for the 360 was its connection to Live. Activison promised there would be a ton of DLC for it. Yet here we are only 3 months away from Guitar Hero 3, and all we have is 12 songs from the first GH. And whats worse they don't release them individualy. Which means if there is a song I want, and its with two songs I could care less about, I am essentially paying 500 MS points for 1 song.

Hopefully GH 3 and Rock Band don't have these problems.

Finally hit a wall on tier 4 expert. What I Like About You and Ballroom Blitz can kiss my ass.

I'm sorry but anyone who can do well on expert should just get a real guitar.

Actually alot of the songs on expert are harder than doing the songs for real. Cavemen Rejoice is much harder in GH1 than it is to play for real.

Also: Whenever I get my assed kicked by a song I play Sweet Child of Mine on Expert to get my groove back.

Me and a friend are trying to finish Freebird, me on Expert and him on Hard (yes I said "Him on Hard" ha... ha...).

Im working on clearing Hard right now...Its sad because I was getting like over 90% notes hit on each song...then I reach What I like about you and fail 20% of the way through it....

Thats the only one I have had trouble on so far...

When im in trouble I just hit up Holy Diver a few times...love that song...

Beat it on Medium just to clear the thing and get the songs. Now I'm playing on Expert and losing most of the time.

All of these songs have solos in the middle or the end that eat your soul. Play With Me destroyed me at the same point each time, Guitar Solo A. Insane. Holy Diver is my motivation boost. IGN stated that the soundtrack is on the downside but I like most of the songs. Dare I say I like it better than GH1. How do you get the last 5 songs (if there are any)?
