The still screens always look nice. Then the game comes out and they've left out tons of shit and not bothered to fix things that have been wrong for years, AGAIN, and so the wait for the next year begins.

mad props to the madden dudes who fixed the play where you would sack the quarterback and then he'd fire a laser to a wide open receiver with a flick of his wrist as you were bringing him down to the ground. i was so happy when that didnt happen anymore because i lost at least 4 games because of it.

Apparently they have fixed the sideline cathes a wee bit, most annoying crap ever when I would run a playaction and get Cotchery open towards the sideline and he makes an easy cath and steps out with the 2nd foot for no reason

It's pretty close to 50/50, gots ta' keep the D on their toes you know. If you can get the runnig game working then playaction in the 2nd half is probably the greatest thing ever

It depends which team I'm using. If it's a team with a good line and runner then probably 60, maybe even 70%. If they suck then I'll pass a lot more.

Franchise mode is certainly gonna be a challenge. The Giants only have 4 CBs (Kevin Dockery is missing for some reason) yet they have 2 FBs and 4 QBs</font>

Considering when healthy, Strahan is still one of the most complete DE's in football, I'd say yeah thats a fuck up.

Great graphics. I like the new animations on the kickoffs and the player intros. The auto replays look great too.

Anyone played the PS3 version? I've read about lots of stuttering and delays while playing... I know it's 30fps slower but come on! I didn't think they'd fuck it up that bad....

<font color=goldenrod>Picked this up yesterday and played my first full game. I lost by like 13 points to the Panthers in pre-season (though to be fair, I was playing it exactly like a real pre-season game). The CPU uses its first stringers 1st half and 2nd stringers 2nd half. I was using my 2nd stringers by the 2nd quarter and all my 3rd and 4th string bench guys by the 2nd half.

Overall seems a lot harder this year, which is a good thing. Wayyyyy too many fumbles though. Everybody seems equally likely to cough up the ball with any given hit.</font>

Fumbles aren't too bad, I think you're forced to use the "Cover Ball" button a lot and in the right situations, which is a good thing.

Right now I think I'm sitting at 4-4 in my season with the Giants. Playing on All Pro difficulty with some adjusted sliders, to make it a tad bit more difficult. I'm having trouble finding realisitic stats in my games, so I'm going to have to adjust further. All in all I'm happy with the game. I think it does play harder like Vito said, but not in an unfair sense. I think it forces you to play smarter.

I don't know why some of you guys sign free agents and create yourself and stuff, to me that detracts from the fun and realism.

I will be picking this up tonight. Am always skeptical about Madden but this does seem to have a genuine improvement. First time I will be playing on next gen so give me a couple days and then I will fire up Live and whoop some ass. Maybe.

I'm gonna be getting a Wii soon, so what do you think? Should I hold out to get it for that or get it on the PS2 now? Is Madden good on the Wii or just a painful concept?

Ok I was mistaken, fucking Play got their release dates mixed up. Although really it's EA being completely gay and releasing the PS2 version a week before all the other consoles. WTF is up with that.

<font color=goldenrod>Wow. This game can get really frustrating. I was up by 4 on the Jets, they had just scored...they kick the ball off. Derrick Ward with the return - BAM fumble. Jets pick it up and run it in for the TD. They take a 3 point lead I could never get back. :o Good thing it's only pre-season.

Anyway, Jacobs, Droughns, and Bradshaw all seem pretty damn good to me. I can't pass for shit though. My receivers just don't catch the ball. They don't even try. Pass or lob, it just bounces right off them 80% of the time. Then another 15% of the time its INT'ed.</font>

I have yet to have a problem with fumbles.

<font color=goldenrod>Finally got to the regular season in my game. My first game was like bizarro world. I beat the Cowboys 21-6

Eli only threw the ball 11 times, getting 6 completions for 47 yards. Should have had 8 and a lot more yards but Plax and Smith dropped long passes. Most important pass was a floater from the 2 yard line that Toomer reached up and brought down for the TD.

Jacobs also got a TD, had like 56 yards on the day. My other TD was an interception return by Will Demps.

My D was sick. Strahan with 2 sacks, Osi with 1, Mitchell with 1. They were also on the field almost all game.

Sinorice Moss is the man at punt returns. Got like a 29 yard per return average even though he did fumble once.</font>

I played for the first time yesterday, won 45 10. Just like every other madden game, throw the ball deep a lot.

<font color=goldenrod>Honestly I think the coverage is a lot better in this game. Plax is one of the tallest receivers in the game and long passes to him still get broken up. If he catches it, the defender usually knocks it out of his hands before he comes down.</font>

I got a freaking XBOX 360 and it took me 10 minutes to figure out where to put the controller in and then like 2 hours to figure out how to play an exhibition game, and then they kept calling Delay of Game on me because I couldn't read the freaking tiny writing on the screen, what the heck is wrong with this game

lol the fumbling is absolutely ridiculous, about 3 times a game brandon jacobs just throws the ball into the air out of nowhere. receiver comin down with a big catch, fumble. only happens to me too, CPU averaging 0 fumbles a game

The CPU does get pretty crazy in its unfairness when it tries to catch up sometimes.

Won my 1st online game yesterday :cool: Used the Cowboys, beat some guy playing the Chargers 31-27. To show how unrealistic this game is, Romo got knocked out early in the 3rd quarter and I was still able to throw a 60 yard bomb to TO with Brad Johnson, who IRL can barely throw 6 yards.

Brandon Jacobs roxks, I've only had like one 40+yard TD run but I always get consistent 10 yard gains. Also, if you dont want to fumble dont throw across the middle :|

lol can finally return punts, yes. reeturned 2 kickoffs for TD also one with Derrick Ward bam spin move and got 1 called back with sinorice moss for holding or something dum

<font color=goldenrod>Moss is the man. Even when the CPU kick it deep into the end zone, Sinorice can still get well past the 20 with relative ease.

Personally I think Ward sucks though. Pretty slow, he fumbled multiple times in preseason. I'm getting much better results with Aaron Ross as my #2 return guy</font>

1st year: Drafted by Bills...demanded trade after 1-5 start, landed with the undefeated and first place Chiefs. We won a few games but struggled a bit too...wound up 1st in the AFC. Eliminated by the Bengals in the Divisional Round. Led the league in pancakes.

2nd year: Nowhere near as good as the first...finished 5th in pancakes. BARELY made playoffs where we demolished the Colts and then lost big time to the Pats. LJ got injured like every week, Priest retired, Croyle left, Huard stuck as QB half the team left...so I ditched.

3rd year: Took a 1-year deal with the Colts. 3-0 so far. Its hilarious cause I'll be in to block and all of a sudden Peyton audibles me into a receiver. Caught the game-winning TD pass in Week 3 against the Titans. :cool: Pancake opprotunities are down this year tho.</font>

oh i played as an actually rookie. Ted Ginn Jr. leading the team in receptions right now, like 700 yards 6 TD through 10 games or something. how do you demand a trade? the dolphins have the worst freaking defense in the league
