"Things are looking up."
Title somewhat speaks for itself, but if you didn't see Raw, that is supposedly a hint about who Vince's "son" is. Who do you think it's referring to?
The first thing that popped into my mind was... http://img180.imageshack.us/img180/9766/4upon2.jpg |
It better not be Snitsky.
|
I was thinking it could be Hornswoggle. I mean he is a little bastard and he has to look up to everyone but Rey Mysterio.
|
RVD.
Because, let's face it, nobody gets higher than RVD. |
Val Venis.
I'd insert a punchline, but it speaks for itself. |
Or in a complete swerve, it could be God.

Actually, when is Shawn Michaels slated to return? Could be him. |
Owen Hart?
Terrible I know! |
god I can see Snitsky being the guy just so Vince could get a laugh and say It wasn't my fault.

Who's that jumpin' out the sky? R-E-Y Mysterio!
|
It's Shelton Benjamin. McMahon got jungle fever.

Kennedy was the best choice. Anyone else is going to suck in this role now.
|
It's not God, you morons. They said it was a wrestler with the company, and God's contract was up over six months ago.

I think its pretty obvious Vince's 'soap opera' storyline isn't destined to work. Death angle that had to be cut because of Benoit, then he changes it so he has a son, and Kennedy gets suspended. I agree with Darth, its just going to suck now, because most fans know how many times this angle has been messed with.
|
Yeah, this is gonna suck now. But it's GOTTA be Sting.

It's Eugene. They released him to throw people off the trail.

Even though this angle has mostly been done on RAW, are we sure it is a RAW guy?
|
I think the shit is going to hit the fan, and it will be Sid.
|
Steve Blackman.
|
It's Andre The Giant.
|
I don't know who it is, but I can tell you who it's not....
....not |
...SCREWED!
|
Am I the only one who doesn't give a shit?! I'm sick of all these Vince storylines... I wanna watch some wrestling for fucks sake. And if there's gonna be any fucking drama let it be between the wrestlers themselves and not the chairman all the fucking time.
|
Also, the answer is Vince McMahon Sr.
|
Would it have been that difficult to write an angle where Kennedy is revealed as his son and then gets taken out by Trips or someone only to come back after the suspension and then we can continue?
I mean... I understand the writing in WWE has been pretty bad for a while now but it just seems SO easy. |
Come on Chris Jericho!
|
Right now is the best time to bring back Hassan.
|
Bob Sanders is Vince's son!?

The writers will forget though. |
Actually, almost everyone from all 3 brands were there that night, that's why I was asking.

"Vince, the mother of your bastard son has one more hint for you, 'THIS SHIT IS FOR REAL'!!!" *Cue Sid's entrance* |
I'm back! And I'm better than ever...
Got a knack for making things better. |
Why are people mentioning names of people who arent even on the roster?
He's already ON the roster in the storyline. |

I think the constant changing of the storyline is good. Its about time things weren't so predictable. Although Mcmahon should really try and swerve the IWc more often. I mean, how hard is it to leak incorrect information from your own company.

I gotta go with Hornswoggle.

The only way this angle can be saved, is if it was Jericho.
Also, it would be the only way he could ever top the pop he got in his wwe debut. |
It's Sabu.
He was always looking up.:shifty: |

Wellllllllllll...
...it's a Big possibility.

It being Big Show would not be pure greatness but the guy is said to be in great shape these days, and his last stretch on ECW was great stuff. The WWE desperately wants stars on their show (Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, Sid) and whilst Big Show was pretty adament about leaving the WWE, he might agree to return for a large sum of cash, now that he's rested up a bit. |

C'mon guys, it's obviously Sean O'Haire. Or has everybody forgotten about him up their in his cage?

I'm fairly sure it's Kalhi. You can ignore it as the idea is even too bad to think, but I see it coming.

That or Mark Henry. V_V

I just watched ECW last night, and I think we are meant to be thinking it's Elijah Burke. The video played highlighting what happened on RAW, and then straight after it Elijah Burke's music hit. I've found that a lot of the time in mystery reveals in television like this, sometimes they do like to put things in plain view. I thought that Burke being the first guy out after the illegitimate child thing could be included as a bit of a foreshadowing. But then Elijah came out, and then put his wrist up (keep in mind, I've never seen him do his entrance like this), and pull his jacket down a bit revealing the "4-UP" written on his wrists.
Someone caught wind of it, too, because during the match, there was an odd focus on Elijah Burke at one point. Usually the camera focuses on the guy waiting for the tag on the apron for maybe two seconds. But we got a shot that stayed with Burke for a bit, and zoomed in on the "4-UP" wrist tape. I did not buy it when someone suggested it earlier, but I'm actually going to subscribe to the theory. Even if he doesn't turn out to be the son, Elijah Burke is certainly being intended as a red herring, in my opinion. My question is whether or not the WWE is smart enough to hint at it being someone, and then not delivering. I mean, they made Kennedy very obvious when it was intended to be him. Burke is a young guy that I assume management would be high on. Since he jumped to ECW and became leader of The New Breed (which, in kayfabe, put him over as kind of a "chosen warrior" by Vince...perhaps a prelude...), the guy has been one of those guys that just oozes potential. There's Mr. Kennedy, Carlito, MVP, CM Punk and Elijah Burke. Granted you may not like all of those guys, or think they're all good, but they were all younger guys which the company has seen main event stock in, and taken some measures towards getting them there. Since the fall of the New Breed, and John Morrison's rise as ECW Champion, Elijah Burke kind of faded off a bit. He managed to get a win over Tommy Dreamer, a win over Balls Mahoney a week ago, and this week, there was an unmistakeable refocusing on him as a performer. Plus, Elijah Burke's physical appearance makes him just comical enough for Vince's warped tastes. Can you really not see Vince trying to convince us he produced a black son, and playing it up? I read a post, or an article, or something, that was talking about how the son is most likely to come from RAW, because ECW and SmackDown! are hurting for talent (besides them being the obvious "sub-brands," and the WWE not wanting to use them for major storylines excuse for ruling out ECW and SmackDown!), and they can't afford to loose anyone. The writer then listed some names, and it occurred to me that Elijah Burke's was not included. I think the WWE realises they have let him slip from focus a bit, and this could be a way of refocusing him. Would being Vince's son mean a move to RAW? Perhaps. With RAW losing a lot of talent in the suspensions, however, I can see them wanting a bit of a change. I see the illegitimate child angle setting up a CM Punk vs. Elijah Burke match at Unforgiven for the ECW Championship. Punk doesn't currently have a challenger, and while the first one people will think of is Big Daddy V, Elijah Burke has more familiarity with Punk, can work the better match (which I think is important to the WWE this early into Punk's run), and no doubt the WWE wants to keep BDV strong. His feud with The Boogeyman is not yet over, either. So yeah, instead of rushing things and having Punk's opponent revealed on the last ECW before the PPV, I can see them having it revealed on RAW, and then the pot being stirred on Sci-Fi. After that, Burke could be moved to RAW full-time, I guess. He would not be a bad choice for taking the Intercontinental Title off Jeff Hardy, and being the center of a new Corporation-style stable built around Vince (and you know Vince wants to remain on TV as much as possible). So yeah, my pick of Hornswoggle as been changed to Elijah Burke, partially in hope, partially because I think the WWE is trying to offer him up as a candidate, and while it's not exactly subtle, I doubt they're smart enough to get the concept of an effective red herring. |
Wow, Noid, that's long even for your standards.
Tovo didn't read it, he just likes to point out you say a lot of stuff. |

The point is, on ECW, Elijah Burke was hinted at through camera movements, little gestures and his placement on the show as being associated with the Vince McMahon storyline. This could just be to throw him out there for shits and giggles, but I don't know if the WWE is that constructive. |
I noticed the weird shot of Burke's wrist tape on ECW too. I guess it COULD be Burke.
I was think Hornswaggle too *sigh*. Can't imagine where they could go with the angle if it was Hornswaggle though. Obviously, you can't have any matches come out of the angle. |
My gut is telling me HBK...

Also, in an interesting development (well, I guess), there is a poll on WWE.com, asking the fans who they think the bastard son is. They list a lot of names int he article, hinting at big men like Kane, Big Daddy V and The Great Khali; JBL (apparently he would give Vince financial advice); rising stars like MVP, Matt Hardy and Kenny Dykstra; and high flyers like Jeff Hardy, Rey Mysterio, Paul London and Brian Kendrick; finally Val Venis gets a mention for his rising libido.
Who is winning the poll? In second place is Triple H, which is not surprising. He's a big star. In third place is Paul London, however. A good 9% ahead of everyone else. Brian Kendrick himself is on 0.2 something %, which is a huge lead for London, I guess. The person winning, however? I'll give you a hint, as it seems appropriate given we're discussing a hint. He'll show us, we'll see! |

If they want to salavge this storyline they need to make it someone who can be greedy. Someone who wants the money. They can't make it a babyface since it's not Kennedy. ...Kennedy! |
Quote:
However, they also highlighted the 4-UP during the match. Joey Styles and Tazz did not talk about the 4-UP, despite it being on-screen, and for once didn't talk about Burke being handpicked by Mr. McMahon. It really seems to me like the WWE is trying to prod your average stupid WWE fan into feeling good when they guess it, after being hit with so many subliminal messages. |
ToVo is great.
|
It'll be Snitsky and we'll all wish to have back the 12+ hours we spent watching this awful angle unfold on TV.
Except me, since I haven't been watching. |
