Their are very few games that I am willing to go out and purchase right away dropping $60 on....this is one of those games

I've not been a fan of the previous Call of Duty games, but this looks rather special.

I've already got Airborne on reserve. I'll wait a little while longer till I grab this. A.O.T.S had a quick multiplayer demo on it and it looked really cool.

A hundred thousand may seem like a lot of keys. But we expect them to go fast. After all, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is one of the most highly anticipated games of the year.

Funnest time I've ever had playing a multiplayer game. Fuck Halo 3!

Gonna lvl up my mini uzi to the max... nearly got 150 kills with it, gonna get headshots with it when i get agog scope so I get the golden uzi :)

G, I'm a huge Vegas fan and it's probably the only game I play on a regular basis. Will I enjoy the new Call of Duty from what you've played of it?

I think so, yes. I've only played for 30 minutes, but I am really enjoying it. Most difference between the two, CoD is more of a run and gun, whereas Vegas is strategy.

And you can't run into a room and turn the thermals on to see anyone. :(

Any good sniper rifles so far?

I haven't tried any yet. I don't really see how someone would stay still long enough to scope their head.

This lack of ability to snipe disturbs me greatly :mad:

So I popped someone with my shotty and he fell down. I expected him to be dead, so I ran on by him and as I did he raised his arm and shot my with his pistol.

I haven't figured out how to shoot while laying on your back, :wtf:

Nah, there's definitely sniping, as one of the preview videos I saw showed players using a ghillie suit to hide and snipe.

fucking christ, i maxed my shit out, level 16, in 3 hours. i'd hate to even work on the achievement things, since i'll have to do them over when the game comes out in 2 months. :mad:

Not like that you retard. It's called Last Stand. Instead of dying when you normally would, you fall onto your back and have a pistol and a certain amount of time to kill someone before you die. Of course, people will shoot you really quickly afterwards, but it gives you a chance to get a quick kill.

Anyone can shoot while prone, but this is an ability that let's you have a slight edge, although it is somewhat difficult to master before getting killed quickly after.

Also, pretty fun game. Played it in the same room as 5 other people and we took our group online and played for a while. I didn't have as much fun as I did in R6: Vegas, but maybe that's just because I'm not as good at it as I am in R6. On a good day in that game I can go 35 and 6 or 7 for a k/d ratio. In CoD, I die a LOT. But it's fun for a change of pace.. don't see myself playing it regularly.

Don't think there are any achievements for the Beta.

I got digi camo and agog scope for my mini uzi. its amazing now :) gonna try and get golden mini uzi, then when people kill me and pick it up they will be like, omg he got golden uzi :O

121/150 headshots for my mini uzi till I get red tiger. Also the blue tiger camo is amazing. What you got D?

I have to add there is virtually no lag in this game. Played nearly 100 matches and only had lag a couple of times.

I think it's Extreme Angles fault. I've been using the Uzi, and I keep trying to run up to about 10 feet away from someone before I blast them. By the time I get there, of course I have 100 bullet holes in me. :(

I wish the shotty was just more responsive. I am a master of the Spaz12, but this game doesn't seem to have worked out the proper attributes for shotguns yet.

Completing a challenge and hearing that little riff is the most awesome thing ever.

What sucks is the insane amount of challenge points I've earned while I was capped. Now I am out of challenges to earn ranks quicker. Not gonna really bother with ranking up now. :(

Well I got to level 25 before the beta ended. Played for 6 hours straight and kicked ass. Tried out EVERY weapon. Well now we got to wait a month. :(

I started using the shotgun with the fast reload and claymores. Unstoppable.

How was it overall?
I'm sorta poor being a college student and all, so I want to make sure this game is going to be worth the money and have the replay value that I need (Which I think it will).
What did you guys think overall aboot the game?

I loved it. Will definitely pick it up.

Apparently Official Xbox Magazine gave it a 10/10. I don't trust any of the "Official" magazines though but I don't doubt that this game will be great.

I'll be picking this up. But I'll put it down like 6 days later cause Assassin's Creed and Army of Two come out the week after it.

According to EBgames The Xbox 360 version comes out 3/4/08. PS3 version is out 11/13/07.

From what I understant the site is wrong and both versions were bumped. Having worked for EB/Gamestop in the past (for four years or so) I can tell you that site is horribly maintained.

well, i got it today (perk when working at a video game store) and ill simply say this: If Rainbow 6, Halo 3, and GRAW had a hot threesome and knocked up Halo 3, you'd get this game.

I got ripped off at Circuit City. Got the game but the guy in front of me got the last CoD3. I don't really care though because I was just going to turn it in for credit but still. It's the principle of the thing.

Also, this game is just as easy as the beta was. First game I came in 3rd place with that crap assult rifle.

Veteran mode gets pretty ridiculous and intense pretty soon. I love this game.

Go check out the global leaderboards, and there are tons of people with like 7000+ kills and in Prestige mode. Makes me wonder when they got the damn game.

Yeah my first game I Went 36-3 with 2 15 kill streaks. There are so many people who went straight online out of the box, so it's only fair that we rape them.


I called CC when they opened @ 10am yesterday to see if they have the CoDs yet. The guy said "We"ll have them at 2pm." So I waited patiently till noon and called again to confirm. The lady said they only received 20 copies and were sold out. :mad: :foc:

Crazy game. Just started playing this morning. Probably won't be going online for a while.

In story mode. Is there anyway to save your guy after the nuke goes off? Or do you just wander around and die. I tried like 4 or 5 times and tried mashing buttons to keep his heart pumping, looking for a health pack or a radio. But I'm thinking it just does nothing.
