Definitely gonna pick this one up. Nov. 13, the same day as Smackdown vs Raw 08. |
Looks hot. Only like a year late.
The chick who is the producer on that is so god damn hot. She is a hot computer game nerd. I would like to sex her heavily.
game looks pretty sweet too. |

Seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee |
I'll get it assuming the reviews are pretty good.
The new trailer is even better.

I guess there's a hidden message in that. |
Been waiting ever since the first gameplay demo was shown at one of the E3's. With this, Halo 3, and Mass Effect.. I'm not going to know what to do.

Yeah deffffffinately gonna pick this up.

I want it to stick its dick in me

Assassin's Creed is just a fun game period, by the looks of it. It will likely be played whenever I just don't feel like playing the others. I should also mention that those aren't the only 3 games I'll be playing, but just the three that everyone really knows about. The 4th is EVE Online, which is an MMO and already takes up a lot of my time, and will take up even more once I get farther into it. |
I have already paid for this game.
Quote:
And I already paid for your services, and didn't get the goods.. But yes, Assassin Creed does look hot, defiantely will check it out when it drops |
Ill check the game out when it hits the shelves but Ive already heard that the controls are really clunky.
Should still be interesting...guess I know what to use my free rental on in November... |
How have you heard that? Pretty sure nobody has played it, and ubisoft isn't usually known for clunky controls. It reminds me of Splinter Cell just watching the videos, and Splinter Cell had great movement. I really doubt they would have a problem at all making great stealth-type games.
other developers played the game at E3 along with other recent game conventions.
Pretty sikedddddddddddd for Wednsday
I dunno, in the latest egm they played the latest build, and it still has qute a few problems.
The reviews are looking pretty good tho
<table class="wikitable"><tbody><tr><th>Publication</th> <th>Score</th> </tr> <tr> <td> <center>Famitsu</center> </td> <td> <center>37/40</center> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <center>Game Informer</center> </td> <td> <center>9.5/10</center> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <center>GamePro</center> </td> <td> <center>5/5</center> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <center>GamesRadar</center> </td> <td> <center>10/10</center></td></tr></tbody></table> |
I want it, but can't afford it...
Need me a job... |

But enough of that. This game is getting pretty much equal or less hype than Halo 3. Lots of good commercials out and getting sponsored here and there. I won't be picking this up till thursday night unfortunately. |

I've got Ace Combat and GH3 to dick around with, so I can wait for a couple weeks. |

Wrd. EGM is notorious for not pandering to hype monsters and not backing down when companies threaten to pull ads.

I've got it now, but I was way too hungover to play it yesterday. The game is a massive headtrip to start with. From what I played of the first memory, it seems stunning though.
The game looks awesome and that Jade Raymond is hotness.
yea, I saw this trailor the other day and it was presented like the greatest game of all-time. It was like a 5 minute trailor. lol. Made me want to play it. curious to see what you guys think when you get it.
Only a couple of days away now, cant wait.
That game is immense
holy shit I love it |
The big news I'm hearing is the oppisite reviews from Ign and Gamespot. Getting this late tomorrow or early friday. Can't wait.
Yeah, reviewers seem rather polarised on this game.
Is this game going to be on PSP also? I marked the fuck out when I found out they have a game about a Muslim in the crusades, and get this the Muslim is actually a "good" guy :y:
The control system is kinda weird at first

Just got this today and I'm blown away.
Care to elaborate mister?
Yeah I do.
Nah seriously though, it's Prince of Persia in an open world, it's fantastic. Gotta say though the side quests (if you can call them that,) seem tacked on. Still love it.
Yeah the trailer really looks a lot like Prince of Persia. In fact I thought it was Prince of Persia when I saw the trailer.
Counter attacks are incredible
Yeah before counter attacks combat = pain in the ass. After? DEATH TO ALL.
That doctor assasination was cool
and like 30 guards chasing after you was awesome |
Sounds sexified.
How are the controls?
Pretty sweet once you get a feel for them. To do all the jumps alls you ave to do is hold down the Right Trigger and the A button really. Everything is context sensitive and while it's very overwhelming for the first five minutes it pretty great after that.
I don't know. I rented this today, and I'm not very big on it at all.
There's no glaring HOLES really, it's just more of a case of it's something I thought would be a lot better than it actually is. |
7.7 from IGN.
9.0 from Gamespot. |
Can you successfully hide or will they pretty much find you no matter what so you'd have to kill them all?
Yes, you can hide. That's the purpose of the escapes.. you'll likely have to fight a little, but as demonstrated in several videos you can hide. You have to first break the line of sight, and then manage to keep out of view for a while. Hence the hay carts or rooftop hideaways.
Oh man, I freaking love this game. Got to play through the first couple assassinations today and it is so much fun. Everything makes me so happy.
That third assasination is intense
Rented it, it's ok so far, gonna play through some more.
I love this game so much
This game truly is amazing.
Woah
shocking twist there |
Yeah getting into it. Probably will buy it when it becomes used. The environments are amazing.
The one that I did today was intense. Longest escape I've had so far.. ended up in some tunnels that weren't open on top so I couldn't just climb my way up. Must have killed a good 25 guards or so trying to escape.
Got it yesterday and am loving what I've played so far. Only managed to do the tutorial and find out who the informant was though due to work

The eighth assasination is a bitch and a half
Finally got some time and played this for a little while. Magnificent game. Controls are really quick to get used to. Only had some trouble pulling off Leaps of Faith early on. But then I figured it out.
Pity I'm only only play this for a few days until Mass Effect arrives. On the side. Has anybody experienced any game freezing? Not like stuff Ubisoft put in. But it happened to me twice. Once during a loading screen, and another when I wanted to to save a citizen. I got the PS3 version and I didn't think this would happen. |
Beat this game yesterday. Only encountered one glitch the whole time I played it, and it was a pretty big one. Spoilers in black:
After you find out the last assassination is a decoy, you go to the new area through the kingdom. Well the new area was completely fucked for me. People wouldn't attack me, and I just ran through it until I fell through the world. THEN, I respawned at the beginning and there was two of me that moved in sync. Really fucking annoying because if one took damage I took damage. But some things wouldn't spawn unless they were both there. I had to run to the end, run back toward the beginning and -then- things would attack me. Finally did the last fight after a ton of trying to figure out wtf I was doing, and then the other one of me disappeared. So yeah not sure what that was about, but it pissed me off. Kinda killed that portion of the immersion for me because I didn't really know wtf was going on through the whole level. Thought it might have even been on purpose, that it was just something wrong with the machine. |
Game has more twists than a tibetan hooker
Not sure if I should believe what everyone is saying in this thread cause you praised Two Worlds too :-\
Tow Worlds was fine the first 2 hours...and then I realized it wasn't getting any better. I thought it was a slow starter, my how I was wrong...
On the third assasination, got all the info so have just got to kill him. Haven't been able to do a proper assassination yet, on the first two I somehow got caught and got into a sword fight with them.
Is there a demo of this coming out?
I want to play it, but most of the complaints I saw aboutthe controls concern me. And like Assman, I'm a bit reticent to trust the people who fawned over Two Worlds. |
I hated Two Worlds for like... 6 months before it came out (yes for managers conferences) and I enjoy Assassians Creed. It doesn't live up to the hype, no game could but it's still a phenominal game in it's own right.
Yeah, no game could really live up to the hype AC had, but I won't be let down for that.
Yeah, it genuinely is a phenominal game. I'd say an 8.5. Fun game, does have a learning curve on the controls, but once you get them, it's great.
I've actually JUST NOW decided it's Metal Gear Solid turned into the greatest adventure/platformer/thing ever.
IE: The story just got phenominal.
The story is immense
I can safely say Assassins Creed is my favorite video game ever
Quote:
didnt happen to me |
Didn't happen to me either - however I have heard reports of it. Only glitch I encounted was I managed to just my body inside of a tree - couldn't get out until some guard starting to mess with me and I was able to counter one of his strikes moving me out of the tree.
I never had any glitches
I'm kinda worried about my game now. It gets stuck in the loading screen every couple of times when I enter or exit a city. If it keeps on going, I might replace the disk.
Only thing I haven't figured out really is saving, like can you only turn off the game once you return to the Animus room lab thing or can you continue from every checkpoint
Every so often it should save itself, mainly after you complete a task.
I just rented it this morning after class... played it for a while.
Story is impressive... |
I did not think the story was that phenominal. I kinda was just waiting for it to get really good like everyone said but it did not happen. What is this ending bull shit
^Trilogy Game.

Okay I just got the game today after having my 360 broke. Anyways I started the game and after it has the guards attack the kingdom I got killed by the old guy and when I respawned I had lost all of my weapons and attacks and abilities. Is this the part of the game? Or did I fuck up along the way and lose it all?
Quote:
Yeah. In the beginning of the game, you're character is a badass......asshole. Then you get in trouble by letting your ego the best of you, which results in a botched mission. However, the game in general is your redemption. You gotta get everything back as you play. |
Quote:
You get each ability and weapons back after completing missions/assassinations.
I finally cracked open my EGM that just came in. They did not like this game.
My god, finished the game a couple of nights ago and cant wait for the next one. Out of all the assassinations, I thought the 8th one was the hardest, especially jumping from pole to pole in the sea. Overall I loved the game, liked how if you stole the pens you got to read the emails and stuff, gives you more insight into what the hell was going on.
