Wrestling Holds/Finishers you just don’t see anymore
Apologies if this has been done recently.
While writing my first post and reminiscing about all those Old-School wrestlers, I started thinking about Killer Karl Kox. KKK was my favourite heel as a kid and his “devastating” finisher was the Brain Buster. For those of you who don’t know the BB, picture a vertical suplex but rather than having your opponent fall on his back, he landed on his head. Invariably, the medics then had to come to the ring and stretcher out his opponent. Next week, his opponent would show up in a neck brace vowing to get revenge once they got better and selling the “injury” (of course, if Cena had've been around in those days he would've got straight up). I remember at the live shows the very audible gasps from the crowd  as KKK lifted his opponent into the air and suspended him there before delivering the final blow. Of all the heels, I reckon KKK was the most hated of his time simply because of his signature move. Was it dangerous? No doubt...if performed by amateurs. But I don’t ever recall a mishap or real injury resulting from KKK performing this move. There aren’t that many moves that involve dropping your opponent directly on his head. Tombstone (where most of the time, you can see the head miss the mat by miles) and to some degree the DDT (same) are a couple. But I haven’t seen the BB since the days of KKK which prompts me to ask what other moves have disappeared. |
Eddie, Chavo and Benoit all used to do brainbusters.
|
Eddie done this move alot. He did it to Rey on the stairs.
|
The abdominal stretch.
|
Steiner Screwdrivers.
|
The mexican surfboard was badass but I haven't seen it in years. The one where the guy is lifted into the air.

Haven't seen a DVD in WWE for a while...
Plenty of Fireman's Carries, though. |
Also, F5. Probably my favorite move of all time. :y:

YOu just made this thread to type KKK over and over again didn't you?
JEW HATER! Personally? I miss the varity of piledrivers the WWE used to have. Now they have...one. |
Shattered Dreams. :shifty:
You know, this one may sound a bit stupid...but I miss the Torture Rack. Not it's user, just the move. |
The Orange Crush Bomb.

Apologies to any African-American or Jewish (450) members who may have been offended. As for being a "Jew Hater", that's not even worthy of a rebuttal. There are very few people I actually hate. I dislike a hell of a lot of people though. |
He;s fucking with you.
|
Crippler Crossface; nobody can see it. WWE censors out everything with Chris Benoit in it.
Bada psh! |

Nah, I'm kidding ya. I loves me the blacks! Especially if they're Canadian. |

You never see the Bushwhacker Battering Ram anymore:shifty: |
Gee. No one's mentioned THE MOST ELECTRIFYING MOVE IN SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT
Yeah, I know, I'll get back in my box. |
Jericho's hurricanrana to a sitting opponent on the top rope
Tazz's style of suplexes Rey's hurricanrana follow through under the legs for a sit down pin. I like that time that he never used on Orton who he never pinned to win a non existant title |

Jericho Spike. I would love to see him bust that sucker out again. (his top rope frankenstiener with the opponent standing on the top rope.)

Perfect-plex/fisherman suplex pin. Still my favorite finisher ever.

Another reason why Robert Roode is the goods
|
Doesn't Val Venis also use it as one of his finishers? Of course, since he never wins you never get to see it.
|
Piledrivers
Forceful powerbombs DDT's aren't really done well or as finishers anymore You never see anybody give up to a figure 4 anymore. You don't see tag teams with team finishers as much nowadays. (or if you do they suck). There's really a lot of shitty finishers. |

I believe it was during HHH and the Rock's Iron Man match, HHH won a fall with it (I think).

Texas Cloverleaf.
Shooting Star Press (Unless London wants to get fired.) I really miss Tajiri and a good shot in the head with one of his kicks. |
Liontamer
Screwdriver Mexican Surfboard Texas Cloverleaf F-5 Old Pedigree (when trips didn't release the arms) Teardrop Suplex Death Valley Driver Reverse Death Valley Driver (like Chaz did, it was crazy) Testdrive Rocker Drooper The Mosh Pit |
Full nelson slam. I loved it when Test did it. That may have been the best thing Test has ever done. Like, seriously, he could save an orphan from a well and that full nelson slam will still be the best thing he has ever done. He could punch my boss in the dick and yet somehow that full nelson slam will still be the greatest thing he has ever done. Test could freaking cure cancer and that full nelson slam would still top it!

Oh, duh...
But actually, it was a 2250, after breaking his neck, tearing his quads and having his hand bitten off by a bear. |
He still preceded to take out his comb, and straighten his slightly out of place hair, run over to Stamford (on torn quads) grab a beer from Steve Austin, run back, drink with Scott Hall, and still make the 3 count.

With JR calling the Walls the Liontamer on RAW, I have hope that it won't be the shitty Boston Crab version.
But it was probably just another JR fuck up, though this time it's what everyone wants. And yet, he called the Lionsault a Springboard Moonsault, so I don't even know anymore... |
Someone in the WWE needs to do the IR (Italian Revolution) It's basically a fisherman suplex, but with their one arm crossed in front of their neck and held, and their other arm between their legs and held. So basically a slick looking fishermen suplex with both arms trapped.

"For a while" as in three weeks?
|
Let's just all agree that JR is a senile piece of shit. Which he is. Additionally, he is stupid.

Also, let it be known that when Brock did the F5 hopping on one leg because he was selling the damage Angle had done to the other, I fell more in love with him as a performer and I hadn't to that point thought such a thing was possible.

A good, clean, bridging German Suplex pin.

Anaconda Vice (I Wish Punk would pull it out sometimes)
|
When the Rock used to do that float-over DDT. That shit kicked ass.
Or when DDP did that Front Face Pancake or whatever. It looked like he was going to do a piledriver, but went forward. DDP was over as hell back in the day. :y: |
