Yeah, so there are nw quite a few people at the dub, with COD4. Thinking it would be pretty cool to set up a big private match with everyone here. I mean DS is gonna win obviously, but 2nd place will be 1st place for the rest of us. Private matches are way more fun anyways, cause of the customization it allows.

I would also like to try a match where everyone only uses the knife.

Can you wait till mid February or so when I will buy this.

Also, I hate these people who get to top level and stay there. You should be required to go through prestige at a certain point.

It's kinda boring when you have done all the challenges. I like doing challenges and unlocking shit. And hearing that guitar riff when a challenge is complete makes me mark out.

I'd be MUCH higher if I didn't fuck around so much when I first started. I started to pay attention to that number when I was 5000/5000 (1.00), since then I am 4,000 kills above my total deaths. (something like that, I'd have to check my stats)



I'm the only person I've seen hit 20+ kills in (hardcore) S&D. (twice now)

The leaderboards really mean nothing. It's not an look at your score based on level/play time, it's just who has the higher score. Not impressive. People have public accounts and then there are those people who obviously have no life at all and have already racked up over 18 days of play time.

The only reason I ever look at the leaderboards is to mess with one of my friends who has maybe 5 hours over me and just barely under my kill count.

youre kidding, right? Leaderboards are where everyones stats are, and shows how good they are. Whats useless and just tells you how long youve played is the stupid ass ranking system/prestige. Like i said, ive whooped many MANY high prestige'd ass simply because they dont know how to play deathmatch, they are too used to just sitting back and collecting points in HQ.

Wait a minute, the leaderboard has stats?

Of course pretige doesn't mean a thing, but neither do the stats. Just because someone has a 3.0 win/loss ratio doesn't mean they are good, it just means that they have got a good team. Accuracy doesn't mean anything because it drops as soon as you spray with a mounted machine gun. And score means nothing as well. If G plays S&D all day and I play Team Deathmatch for that the same length, he's going to get more points because S&D gives you more points per minute, even if you destroy on Team Deathmatch. The only thing on leaderboards that you might be able to judge on is the kill/death. And that is hardly something to judge on because of all the factors involved. (For example, your death ratio will greatly increase on one game of Shipment in any game type besides S&D)

Maybe in gaylo, but you can't camp in this game thanks to both uav and the killcam. It takes skill to maintain a respectable skill as a sniper, as you don't encounter as many enemies as you do running and gunning. Every shot has to count.

I mean yeah, obviously you have to stay in one spot for a short time. Cant fire from the hip with the SR. But that ain't camping. You're still on the move for most of the match.

Maybe you haven't heard of a sniper's best friend, the uav jammer. Also on hardcore tdm there is no kill cam.

Yeah, but the sniper rifles have no silencer, so you still see them when they fire.

I suppose you could complain about team hardcore, but I don't play that, and I'm talking about the other modes.

my beef lies with the shotgun and its ridiculous range. And the whole juggernaut/shotgun combo.

It's always nice to run into someone with juggernaut/last stand. Empty half a clip into him, whereas someone without that crap takes 1-2 shots. :(

you guys are fucking stupid. Its not the leaderboards, but the STATS that they show when you go to the leaderboards. It shows the type of player you are if you notice someone at a high accuracy rating, because you know they are not much for spray and pray, and kill death ratio will tell you alot too.

You are starting to debate two different things. You are now saying that the stats show the type of player, but you were saying that the stats showed how good a player is.

They really don't do either but if it's a way for you to justify believing that you are better than those in high prestige than be my guest.

The only thing the statistics are indicative of are how long someone has played. The people that they face are going to be so random that there is no guarantee that they have fought more good people than bad. Not only that, but it is only indicative of how good their team is and not them as an individual. CoD4 isn't about being a one-man machine, ala Halo. It's actually a game that takes teamwork, and a good team of decent players will stomp all over a team with a couple amazing players and the rest of them shitty.

In addition, players are going to suck at the game (in most cases) when they first start. Later on in their game life, they may be gods at the game but the stats that are still recorded from their shitty beginning unbalances it and gives you an incorrect guess.

Seriously though. Stats/Rank/Leaderboards don't mean shit. I'm sure some of the people at the -very- top of the leaderboards ARE very good at the game, but it is no indication that they are clearly the best.

Pretty ridiculous though...sometimes I get killed out of nowhere, real frustrating but eh, I'll get better. Prestige would be a accurate rep of a player if it went DOWN, but it only goes up...therefore, what does prestige tell you? Other than you probably play that game too much and more than likely do Headquarters.

I play team deathmatch but i'm gonna do prestige anyway... just to keep the gameplay value up. gonna try for top prestige and every challenge complete... I've played hq like 3 times.. quite boring... sabotage is one of my fave's

Got cracking a few days ago and I'm a Lvl 21. Not bad. Pretty split between my deaths and kills. I can't keep a good game going cause the lobby pretty much closes on me after the match is over.
