R4 questions
 

I got a couple 4000 point 360 cards, but just got my daughter a DS and want to get some Mario games for myself while dropping a deuce. I'm looking for Mario 64. I could trade you something like 1 game per card or something. I dunno. I'm not taking these to eBay to get more value per card, so don't bring it up. Also, I've done transactions on here before with people like Kane Knight, so I am legit.

G, while I don't have much time to explain it right now. For the DS there is a thing called the R4. It basically is a way to download games online for free so you don't have to pay for them. You put a mini sd card in it and just download any game from online. They play exactly like real games. Overall cost is about 60 bucks I believe, so price of 2-3 games. I would suggest getting that to save money. if you want more details let me know, I got one and so do some of my friends, they work brilliantly.

What, that's fucking awesome. If I ever go online will I get burned or anything? Where do I get these R4's.

Also, how much room are the game files. Like would a 2 gig be good for lots of games or is it kind of a swap out what you want when you want to play it sort of deal.

Biggest game I've seen is about 120mb and that is very rare so on a 2gb card you can have loads of games. I've got a 1gb and usually got 20+ games on there.

As for online, Nintendo doesn't ban people and I've even been online with a hacked MK with new tracks on it.

They want $50 for the R4, then $50 for the 2gb. And it's a pre order. Where are the $60 R4 + 2gb combos at?

Yeah, they do almost nothing to stop cheaters, and their online doesn't stop pirated software, either. Kinda ironic, considering how bad they crippled online play.

HEY before I order a MicroSD card, should I go MicroSDHC instead? Like, I'm sure you are writing data onto the card whenever you save your game or something, or will I be fine with a regular and cheaper MicroSD?

No, Micro SDHC is NOT the same as the standard Micro SD

Oh, I thought it was like Sandisk's Extreme cards that write faster.

Side note: The HC stands for high capacity and requires different hardware for being read.

I'm sure with a big enough micro sd you could put a sega megadrive/gensis or snes emulator on it and then put every game out on it and it would work like a charm.

R4 is the best thing for the DS. :D
