I don't know. Most of the time, it looked like he had elements he was swinging off of.

I'll trust your eyes for now. Anyway, the action looks pretty good. More action game in the likes of DMC or God of War than usual. With less blood, and more white stuff.

I was interested, now I'm excited. Ultimate and Spidey 3 were let-downs and Friend or Foe was insulting (although kinda fun in an early 90's arcade sort of way), but this may be the Spidey game to get. Along with Batman: AA, comic games are getting their due these days.

That mid-air fight was badass. Can't wait to see how it actually plays.

This COULD be one of the best Spideys ever.

Got SR and Fable on the way. Undecided on SVR, and I'm holding off on this one. I'm sure it will be GOOD, I'm just already weighed down by preorders.

I haven't spoken about Fable 2 on these forums, but I am indeed hot for that game.

Good job I don't pay attention to magazine/internet reviews much, as this is preordered.

As an example, I saw a magazine review for TNA the other day, and it got 8/10.

I like to leave things to my own judgement for the most part.

Wow. That can't be right. Few times before was I so sure about a game based on all the vids I've seen. I have to play it to believe it, cause that game looks freakin fun and awesome.

Other than the GFX, the game looks like the same basic Spidey game combat with some air combat thrown in *shrug*

Doubt I'll bother wasting a disc with all the other stuff coming out. I'll burn Monopoly instead.

Yeah my excitement for this game dwindle when I heard the cameos are few and far between. Then I started to realize it would just be another run of the mill Spider-Man game.

I just played around for a little while. And boy, I think they pulled the trigger on this a bit to early.

I'm practically swinging blind. No compass, no district lines, no nothing. Only thing that stands out is Stark's place on the south side. I only found Little Italy so far, but that's it.

A little more on the tutorial would have been nice. I apparently swing over a car crash and someone got injured. Didn't pop or my radar or nothing just heard the sound, got +10 black points for ignoring it.

Kinda hoping a update comes over the wire. But I can grin and bear most of this for now.

Got this yesterday, there are some obvious flaws like Clockshot said, but for the most part I'm enjoying this. Fun game.

I went and rentedit yesterday and gave it a all day play though. I played for about five hours and im near the end of the game. Right now im about to fight

The game definently has its flaws with the #1 flaw being the camera. You fight so many enemies at one time that there are just times when the camera is moving around like crazy and by the time it stops you feel like you should be standing on your head while playing this game. The fighting is a little off but the webzip thing is fun and probably the #1 move. There is also a surfing move you can do in the game that is pretty awesome.

I gotta question though???

Does anyone know what is with the black and red points? I havnt figured it out yet and was wondering if it had any effect on anything.

It depends on which ending you get as far as I'm aware.

I just rented this game and have only been playing for about 2 hours, but I think that people are being very unfair towards it.

The gameplay and graphics are incredible. It does take a little bit of getting used to, but once you learn how to use the lock-on feature to its fullest extent, the camera changes don't become so obtrusive, but works for you instead. There are some devastating moves in the game and being able to pick up cars and throw them as black Spidey is insanely fun. The swinging is the best I've seen since SM2, and it really is all about timing.

The only problems I have with the game are the VO for Spidey (he sounds like a little bitch) and the two freezes I've experienced so far. Other than that the game is incredibly fun and I think they really captured what it would be like to swing and fight like Spider-Man. I can't wait to pick it back up later tonight - will probably be at it until late in the morning. It's fucking addictive.

Definately addictive, and I love the air battles and black suits symbiote tentacle moves.

Been taking my time with missions, to do street crimes etc to level spidey up.

Just on the Venom chase level so far, really enjoying this game so far.

I was going to get this for PS2, and then I watched the review and got the most disappointing news.

The PS2 version is a 2 dimensional side scroller, which is a bunch of crap and really there's no excuse for it. Games like Spider-Man 2, Ultimate Spider-Man, and Mercenaries 2 are proof that the PS2 is capable of handling a mass 3D environment. If you ask me, they just got lazy with this one.

2-D doesn't mean bad.

It does mean half-assed when the PS2 proved it could handle wide-open environments years ago. We shouldn't accept or believe they went 2D for artistic reasons.
