CM Punk did out-pop DX. I don't know if you can classify him as overrated, either. He's a good wrestler with great mic skills. He's not the best wrestler ever, though, so anyone who says that is overrating him.

Santino Marella is a comedic genius. Xero and KK are probably envious that the guy is funnier than they are.

BDC has his moments.

Nash is not terrible, but he is only "good" when he talks.

KK is missing some critical components to function properly.

Elijah Burke is terribly misused.

Joey Styles should be doing commentary on RAW with JBL as his partner.

Any, Marella doesn't strike me as even amusing. And that has less to do with Santino and his "Genius" and more to do with this shit being done to death.

This is great, I finally rise to the level of getting randomly mentioned in threads and I didn't even notice until like a day later. :mad:

To add to the conversation, such as it is, I would like to say that Glen Jacobs is the most patient and uncomplaining man Vince McMahon has ever employed for a long period of time.

He's one of the better big men, too. He doesn't have "it," and I don't think he should be WHC, but....

There were times where Kane was completely and totally over and it would have worked well. Not in years and years though.

I'm not even talking about title runs (though as a heel he would have made a great monster for a face to slay to get over), but more like being saddled with dental and impostor gimmicks, and then taking the "Undertaker's burned-up little brother" thing and making it worth watching. He's also up there with Ted DiBiase for me in terms of being able to dance between the midcard and main event without missing a beat.

Actually, CM Punk makes me think of Ron Paul.

For a couple years, you had huge internet support for Ron Paul, and all the online polls showed Ron Paul as strong with both liberals and conservatives. Of course, the polls come out, the real primaries and the like, and Ron Paul does nowhere near as well as he was "projected." Now all the stupid motherfucking Ron Paul supporters who were screaming about how he was going to take overlike wildfire are bitching about some lame ass conspiracy.

I've actually done stand-up comedy. If I were running a club, I would give Anthony Carelli a shot. It is not the mispronunciation of Santino's words that is funny. What he says and how he says it are deliberately thought out and timed brilliantly.

I'll grant you that calling him a comic genius is harmless hyperbole, but I truly believe that if Carelli sat-down, he could make a damn good comedian. The guy is just naturally funny.

He ended up getting his name chanted throughout DX's bit, if I recall. That is what I'd call out-popping. No one is saying that anyone else got booed. Punk had the spotlight, though. That is how many people would define "out-popping."

Also, Triple H being forced to acknowledge Punk and let him say the line (good thinking on Triple H's part), and the then undefeated Punk losing to Hardcore Holly and being the first guy eliminated from the Extreme Elimination Chamber, could be taken as evidence that some people felt that Punk had stolen an unfair amount of the spotlight on that specific night.

So everything in comedy needs to be completely new? There is no room in comedy for simple good timing? There is no room in comedy for something so terrible being done so well? There is no room in comedy for natural talent being showcased as natural talent? Admit that Santino is not your cup of tea if you don't get him. That is fine. Stop trying to censor a genre that is much more flexible, larger and total than you are giving it credit for, though.

I don't hate Punk (I think he's an average wrestler who has a really rabid following) but Jesus Christ, man.

Although I have to admit, Punk's "look" makes me want to riddle him with bullet holes. It's not that he's a horrible wrestler, though. It's the same sort of reaction the closet homos on here have for Morrison's abs, only in reverse.
