Adamle in trouble? *ECW Spoiler*
From PWInsider

Wow. I almost feel sorry for the guy. He was put in a position he was not ready for, and while Lance Storm's recent column on the guy is correct (he should have immersed himself in the product when he was signed), it was irresponsible for whoever made the call to put him out there to do so.
It could be argued that Adamle is so bad that he's good, but the joke has worn off now. Can we please get Josh Mathews in the position now? The WWE seems to be cracking down on crappy commentary, and actually putting compotent people in the positions now. Mathews is probably the most underused commentator in WWE history. At least in modern times. Now if only we could do something about Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler. Say, replacing them with Joey Styles and JBL? |
Why do I get the feeling that if Adamle gets the sack, Todd Grisham will be moved to ECW? Or Timmy Baltimore will get the slot? I haven't heard any of Baltimore's work, so I can't comment on him, but Mathews and Tazz would be a damn good team.
|
Hopefully he shoots on the company like Styles did a couple of years back.

This could be awesome to watch
Hopefully The Tazz made fun of him |
I am a Kane mark, but watching Kane and Bam Neeley in the ring together with no commentators...fuck. But this seems to be going somewhere.
|
"I'm not good enough to call Wrestlerumble? I'm not good enough to call...WRESTLE-RUMBLE?!?!!?"
|
I also heard that Chuck Fucking Palumbo owned Punk at the taping.
|
CM Punk defeated Chuck Palumbo via DQ when Palumbo refused to back out of Punk's corner. Post match, Punk & Palumbo fought, Punk hit his knee in the corner, then went for the bulldog, but Palumbo just tossed Punk.
------------------------------ Probably sets up a match next week or on Smackdown |
Yeah, just sounds like a feud to put Punk over, if you ask me.
|
CM Punk doing the occasional commentary on SmackDown! with Michael Cole and Mick Foley would be tremendous, by the way.
|
But what the fuck has Palumbo done to warrant being able to even get 2 minutes of offense in on Mr. MiTb?
|
Here is to hoping Mike Adamle was truely not this bad. Hopefully it was a storyline that no one knew of, or after his first 2 apperances before he got settled down they decided to turn it into one.
|
I heard a rumor that they're gonna make him lead announcer on RAW
|
and by heard, I meant made up.
Seriously, I don't think they'd fire him this quickly |
lol @ anything Mike Adamle does
|
Just curious if my mind made this up to further cement Adamle's horribleness, did he call Delaney "Calvin"?
And yeah, I don't give a shit if i messed up his last name. |

And more from WWE.com
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – Tuesday night, ECW announcers Mike Adamle and Tazz removed their headsets and left the broadcast position before the conclusion of ECW on Sci Fi. The event occurred just prior to the evening’s main event Handicap Match, featuring ECW Champion Kane and Chavo Guerrero with Bam Neely. Adamle and Tazz reportedly exited the arena and marched straight to the parking lot. Adamle was said to look shocked and expressionless as he left. WWE Superstars were shocked by this unprecedented occurrence. Calls and texts to both Adamle and Tazz have gone unanswered. It has been no secret that our traditional ECW fans have not been satisfied with Adamle’s lackluster commentary. Speculation is this could have led to the play by play and color commentator walking off during a WWE broadcast. Did Adamle and Tazz leave of their own volition or were they asked to leave? WWE.com will attempt to get exclusive video interviews from WWE Superstars about this situation and post them as soon as possible. Stay logged on to WWE.com to learn more about this shocking development. |

Wow. If this is kayfabe (which it seems all the world to be), then it's pretty awesome on WWE's part. Acknowledging Adamle's horribleness (which admittedly has worn off as being funny).
But why would Tazz walk off as well? I'm confused. :?: |
I'd like to see, in a tag team match: Joey Styles and Tommy Dreamer vs. Mike Adamle and Gemini.
|
This could be interesting. By "could be interesting," I of course mean the WWE will fuck it up.
|
lol yeah, I wanna know what happenned.
This is all Joey Styles getting hits on wwe.com. |
This has been a fucked up storyline week for the WWE
|
I still don't get what Tazz has to do with anything, i.e. why he walked out. Taking Adamle's side? I'd hardly think so.
|
Maybe he got scared and fled.
|
lol hahaha So glad this has happened, Adamle should never of been chucked into such a position. Stupid over payed cunt. This has been a bizarre week for wwe. Ofcourse, this might just be a storyline.
|
This is definitely a storyline. No question about it. Especially considering how quickly WWE.com picked up on it and is back in full swing as a separate news entity from WWE the wrestling company, somehow. This has Joey Styles written all over it.
|
Bravo!
BRAVO!!!!! All 3 TV’s this week have me interested in watching, I never normally have the motivation to watch 5 hours of WWE TV as I find it mostly depressing, but this week has been really interesting. If this is Joey’s work, which most people seem to think he must have had a hand in, well done to Joey, if he can keep this up he might get to pitch more idea’s like this in the future, it’s a great way to stir up interest in the WWE product and also the website, which is his job at the end of the day, so he’s helping himself 2 fold. I’m loving this so far, I just hope that they can keep this up |
In a scripted sport, its good to have people wonderign what is going to happen, never know what to expect.
Did they finally realize this>? |
Is that an Adamle heel turn I see coming.......?

Tazz stayed long enough to promote Judgment Day and Rambo, and when they showed him following Adamle, Tony Chimmel kind of patted him on the back and sort of tried not to look at him, probably one of the most pitying things I've ever seen.

Yeah, sounds like WWE logic |
Adamle vs The Tazz at Summermania
|
Sounds interesting, which is something I haven't been able to say about anything ECW-related since RVD vs. Kurt Angle for the ECW Title.
Maybe this is how they turn Adamle into a great, major heel commentator. Adamle left because he couldn't stand sitting there next to Tazz, getting reamed out for every stupid little mistake he makes, and what's worse, the WWE fans are the exact same way. But the problem for Adamle is that Tazz and the WWE fans, are all idiots! Who CARES if he calls Snitsky "The Snitsky," on accident, or refers to the ECW Title as the Extreme Wrestler Championship on occasion. Like it matters! Just shut the hell up and listen to Adamle's greatness. So after only 3 weeks of being in the chair, Adamle snapped and couldn't take it. He walked out. He's back now, has seen the error of his ways, but the fans had better learn to shut the hell up and LOVE Mike Adamle. Tazz comes out. He says after Adamle walked out on him, and walked on this company and its fans, he sat there and thought about it, and realized he couldn't do commentary alone. There aren't a lot of guys out there who could do that. But his OLD partner could - in fact, he did it better than anyone else in the history of the business. But Tazz says he needs a good partner to work with - not one who walks out during a Live broadcast, and doesn't know the difference between a clothesline and an armbar. Adamle talks some more shit, calling Tazz a "non-announcer anyways," and says he's just a washed up pro wrestler. Tazz goes to beat his ass when Vince McMahon himself comes out on ECW. He's pissed off and yells at both of them and says he will fire their asses if they do not learn to commentate together on his show. Vince puts the fear of McMahon in them. From then on out, Adamle and Tazz are just bickering pricks, but entertaining ones who also call the matches and do the job, and all the while, Adamle will actually learn something about sports entertainment. |
I like that idea fox, been thinking of this storyline going in a similar direction myself.
|
Kinda like how Lawler and JR used to be... I like it!
|
Only problem is, Adamle still wouldn't be able to be taken seriously unless his ball sucking has been a work from the start and he does actually know what an armbar is.

Wow, Fox, when I was in the shower last night, I thought of nearly the same exact damn thing for the direction of the storyline. They gotta do it.

Anyways, I think Tazz going along is just to show like... "announcer solidarity" or something. They can have him say stuff like he knows Adamle sucks, but announcers have to stick together... and Adamle is his friend... and he will TAZMISSION anyone who makes fun of him (unless it is himself). |
Damn right. While lathering up my hairy body, I thought of him calling spots all wrong and mispronouncing my name 50 different ways.
"Terran the Rich, pass the soap man!" |
Know what's funny? Of all the wrestling related stuff I've been reading this week, on sites, on forums and what have you, more people are talking about The Mike Le Adams than HHH, Cena, Taker and the whole of TNA put together.
|
Everything else is shit. Mike Adamle is the shit.
|
I thought of this, myself. Plus, people are interested in the fact that the BAD part of the show visibly left the program. Maybe Vince is trying to see if more people tune in when bad things aren't gumming up the work.

Love the idea, Fox, but I would modify it with mentioning that he isn't the first to botch shit. Like, make reference to JR's botches (that could take up the whole HOUR, so we might want to be patient), the Michael Cole Wrestlemania XV "spoiler" gaff (even though I like Cole, bringing up that gaff would be good to cement such a storyline), and that even Styles had a tendency to screw up from time to time, and to remember how "horrible" Vince McMahon was as commentator. He could also bring up certain botches in wrestling history that is a ton worse that his has been (Goldberg vs. Lesner, Styles at RAW, hell, even bring up Montreal again if you want). Something else they could do is give this a meaning to promote another wrestler that usually doesn't get the spotlight (like what they did in 98 or 99, don't remember the exact year, with JR and Dr. Death), and not have Adamle manage them per se, but to be supporting him in some way in his matches (Vladimir Koslov of SD could be good for this, since they seem to really be trying to push him as a squash-winning guy and I was kind of impressed by how good he was for a hoss, but they might go for Khali or Big Daddy V for something like that knowing the WWE, or to introduce someone new...Ted DiBiase Jr., perhaps, if they want him in ECW). |
Hmm... Adamle backing Kozlov.
That could turn into much win, if done right. Carefully right. |
