Bought it just a couple minutes ago. Been playing the demo every day since it was released and can beat 32 bot onslaught on Godlike now.

Yup, I was just thinking about it. I've heard nothing but good reviews for it. I haven't bought a FPS in a while, so I'm definitely gonna pick this up this week. Get some hot online action out of it.

What an amazing game. They already came out with a new ownage map today too for the onslaught mode and it's pretty good. 5.5 gigs of nothing but great.

Yeah what are the different modes in it?
I assume they have the usual... DM, TeamDM, CTF, Assault, King of the Hill, and the like. Anything new? Onslaught sounds interesting. |
Onslaught is amazing. Basically you have to capture all the nodes throughout the map in the correct pattern, and then destroy the enemie's core. To capture a node, you have to destroy the currect node owned by the other team (assuming they have said node) and then construct a new one. The action is really intense, and the tides of the battle can change in an instant. The addition of kick ass vehicles to this mode just makes it udderly insane and addictive.

Needless to say, sounds f'n awesome. Definitely picking this up tomorrow, we'll have to get some games going |
You can get the demo off Fileplanet. The demo alone kept me busy for days.

It's the same modes as the original UT, but they took Assault out in UT 2003 I think there's a couple new ones in this one I am gonna trade 2003 in for this, I want it :mad: |

Assault was pretty fun. Oh well. And nah, not gonna get the demo. I fully intend on buying the game as soon as I wake up tomorrow. So if all goes to play, I'll be ready to play in about 8-10 hours. |
They have a mode called Mutant and Invasion they are pretty great. In Mutant, there is one person who is mutated and has the power to kill everyone while everyone else tries to kill him in order to be the mutant. There is also a person called the "bottom feeder" that is the lowest and is also able to kill in order to get out of the bottom. Point is you try and kill the mutant and you can't kill anyone else but him unless you're bottom feeder.
Invasion is when all these different sized creatures spawn in a level and you have to kill them in order to hold off the base. Pretty much total chaos. If we're getting a game together, count me in. |

Try typing in TPWW manually, and TPWW for the password as well |
Can't type them in anywhere. You got to go search through manually for the names and the filters they have are nice but not all too good.

Nah, listen is like your basic setup for a quick try and dedicated is when you use your computer to allow players to connect constantly. Do listen.

Well the plus side was, I had virtually no lag whatsoever, which is rare for me. I got my ass handed to me though. If you tell me those bots were on like average or something I'm going to just throw all 6 of these CDs away |
I thought they were on Average but that was too tough to be so I just checked and they were on Masterful :$ I guess I selected something after on accident.
Next time I'll put it on Novice for shooting practice. You had high kill for Masterful though. :y: |
And I don't think I'm ever playing again with translocators. Every time I went to shoot they would disappear. :mad:

My crosshairs don't appear in the game until I go to the weapon menu and come back out

Well my taskbar seems to be ok now, I can live with a crappy looking lightning gun (doesn't affect my aim) and the crosshairs problem is something everyone is having on the tech support forums :o

Yeah mantas are shit. Goliaths are ****ing massive though. One shot from the Goliath's main turret takes out a raptor, manta, scorpion, and I'd bet even a hellbender. They are so amazingly awesome. :heart:
LOL when we were playing, I turned the stunt mod on. What's the highest daredevil score you've gotten in one jump? I pulled off a 100 earlier tonight. :cool: Me and Ant are getting pritty good at Onslaught. It would be wicked awesome if we could get a 2v2 (or more) going, that would be insanely fun :drool: |
