CPA?
|
D'Lo Brown is a Certified Public Accountant, a CPA.
|
Has D'Lo and 2 Cold Scorpio ever tangoed?
|
Good to hear, but WWE won't do shit with him.
|
I hope he has an epic return with his music starting with "Are you down with the Brown!?"
In fact, just give him Rock's gimmick. I am indeed down with the Brown. |
LOOKING AT THE REAL DEAL NOW
|
Should have signed him up ages ago. Not like they are rammed with talent.
|
I was at the show with his dark match, last August. Got a pretty big reaction, and he looked good. They should have brought him back a while ago.
|
Was always one of my favorites.
|
Hellyeah, that's cool to see him get signed back. I always liked him back in the attitude era.
|
Smackdown?

Quite surprising although I do remember hearing they were interested in signing him about a year ago. He was always entertaining to watch during the Attitude Era. |
Hopefully, WWE will put him and Shelton in a program together.
|
D'Lo :D
|
D'Lo. He's the white guy that says white guys hate him for being black, right? Or am I still thinking John Cena?
|

Cool , hope he's on smackdown.
|
One of my favorite of all time. However, most of the demographic this year at his first show won't even cheer him.

GONNA KICK YOUR SORRY ASS OUT ON THE STREET <3 D'Lo. I used to love that running powerbomb. Has he ever used it since paralyzing Droz? Fuck it, I'm off to play some No Mercy and have Mr. Brown win the World Title. EDIT: He should also come back with his chest protector. |
If your nuts hang and you bang with a gang then tell me are you down with the brown?
|
He needs the chest protector, he was never the same once that whole gimmick was over.
|
As long as he doesn't do that annoying head bobble.

EXCELLENT NEWS.
D'Lo was one of my favourite midcarders during the attitude era. He's an all round quality performer, I hope he wasn't just hired 'cos of that whole 'WWE needs more black wrestlers' thing, but still I'm happy he's back and can't wait to see him back in action :D |

In the original version of the NOD (with Farooq, Clarence Mason, Crush, Savio, and a bunch of random black people) I thought the only non Farooq member of the stable that was worth a shit was D-Lo (He'd always be the one taking the ridiculous bumps).
He's also the only member of the Gangstaz with talent. (Yes, he was in the Gangstaz, back in SMW.) |
Nah, I'm not ready to go down with the Brown, nor was I ever. He was allright, but I've never been much of a fan of him.
I suspect they'll stick him on ECW, althought I hope not. It won't help the "All black dudes go on ECW" stigma, so they'll probably throw him on Smackdown. A US title level feud might be a good place for D'Lo to go. Either he can debut as a heel with MVP bringing him in to take out Matt, or he could debut as a face, saving Hardy from MVP and then feuding with MVP. Either way, I think putting him in one of those programs on Smackdown would be best. |
I love D'Lo Brown.
|
He signed a superstar deal...doesnt mean he will be on TV....He might show up, but he wont be there regularly, and he will just get some action figures.
|
ouchhh

Black people are black. D'Lo Brown is not. |
It's all about the Sky High baby!
|
D'Lo has an awesome moveset.
|
Nice.
Curious to wonder if he beat his demons. |
Somewhere Droz is drooling.
|
Awesome!! I hope he wears the chest protection vest again:D

All the black guys go to ECW, all the latinos go to SmackDown, and anyone who's worth a shit goes to Raw. And I'm not saying that in a racist way. |
In fact, if there's one thing I hate more than a nigger, it's a racist.

Am I the only one who's noticed that D'Lo looks like Cuba Gooding Jr? Anyways, good for Brown. They should have him into a near-immediate IC feud with Jeff Hardy. Then he and MVP can claim that the Hardys like to beat down the black man. :shifty: Seriously, Jeff vs D'Lo would be a good move. MVP has the black midcard wrapped up on Smackdown, and we know they ain't gonna let two darkies run wild on the same show. Cause the audience will forget which is which. For that matter, so would JR, so definitely don't put them both on Raw... |
D'Lo Brown in the feel good gimmick of the summer...
Radio 2: Lo Voltage |
D'Lo Brown in a motivational speaker gimmick!
Get with the Brown to turn that frown upside down! with special assistant, Colt Cabana! Yeah, that would work. |
Yess

D'Lo was best with the chest protector.
Might as well put a glove on him and a catchers mask and bring back Knuckleball..... Nah, Dlo isnt bad in my view. I hate how he insults the people when he gets them down. Seriously, everytime he slams someone he shakes his head and says "WHO SUCKS NOW PUNK?! |
the NEW nation on ECW: elijah, shelton, DLO. have kofi turn heel and you are set.

The chest protector gimmick was amazing.

Or he might of, like me, thought 4.0 was using 'Light my fire' as some sort of sick, twisted. racist KKK joke!
|
After his accident with Droz he seemed to be punished with his character/storylines. Do you think the WWE have got over it or are they bringing him in to punish him all over again?
|
Quote:
Actually, it's probably partially true, but I try not to let truthiness get in the way of a joke. Though honestly, I'm not sure why "Latino appeal" means anything from a marketing standpoint. Latinos of comparable demographics have worse spending power. So your white fanbase doesn't care, and your brown fanbase steals your shit. :D |
|
I'm down with the Brown. D'Lo was always awesome, and I've heard he's really upped his game since going to Japan. :y: Good for him.
|
So D'lo paralyzes a guy and gets depushed and eventually fired? The Great Khali kills a man and goes on to become World champ AND stars in a movie with the Rock and Steve Carrell? Hopefully this is the universe righting itself.
|
Khali killed a man?
|
Yes. Just like he's killed every PPV, show, match and crowd he's ever graced with his presence.
Unless you live in India. In which case he's a heroic legend. Silly Indians. |
But yeah, a dude died after taking a bump from him in training. To be fair, it was probably the dudes own fault for not bumping properly, and the schools fault for not training him to take the move.
|
<3 D'lo

Khali Back body dropped the guy, who landed wrong and got a concussion, from what I hear, the dude had a history of head injuries.

I see.

It would be fucking awesome if his theme song busted out on RAW when somebody like Santino or Burchill calls out "anyone in the back".

On a side note, D'Lo's music was awful.

D'Lo worked a dark match when I was a Raw/SNME taping at MSG.
He got great pops when throughout his match. I'm happy he is back. |
I hope they don't just job him out. D'Lo is not only a veteran who can teach some of the newer guys how to work, but he's an entertaining performer pretty much all around.
Watch them job him out real fast. |

I always liked D'Lo, it's great that he's back... but I liked the chest-protector, cocky heel European champion D'Lo. By the time he left, after the Lo Down and Down With The Brown gimmicks, he wasn't worth a wank.
I'd love to see him come in and get a nice push, but it's more likely he won't get over with the current crowds, will be a glorified squash boy, and prop up the bottom undercard. That's if he ever even makes it back to TV... he could end up in development hell and go the way of Too Cold Scorpio and Henry Godwinn. |
Loved it when he was the very first Euro-Continental champ. |
No no. Kurt Angle was the first Euro-Continental champ. I remember him saying so.
|
In fact, his exact words were "I'm the first ever Euro-continental champion. Well.... except for D'Lo Brown, but he doesn't count."
|
D'Lo.222?
|
So is it D'Lo or D-Lo?
I've always thought D'Lo but WWE.com is saying D-Lo. And, like the Pope, WWE.com is infallible. |

The last thing I recall about D'Lo is tag teaming with some shmuck in a turban and thinking how fucking boring both of them were.

LoDown

Yeah, that crap.

I really like D'Lo Brown. It should be spelled that way, and not D-Lo. That makes me think of Bi-Lo. An Australian strand of cheap supermarkets.
Once on RAW, they were doing that RAW Roulette thing, and D'Lo Brown was placed in a Blindfold Match against Triple H. I remember marking out like a bitch for that, as I think D'Lo got the Sky High on Triple H. I'd be happy to see him back. His theme music is reason enough for him to return. I'd like to see him as an ass-kicking babyface, to be honest. His music just makes me want to cheer him. Although I'm sure it would have been a heel gimmick, D'Lo using the chest protector is OK with me. If nothing else, for the aesthetics of it. What the the gimmick attached to the chest protector, by the way? Was it a part of the Nation of Domination thing? Also, he should use the Lo Down when he returns. |
I was trying to remember why he started wearing the protector. I want to say I remember Dan Severn 'ripping his sternum' with D'lo screaming in agony. But I'm not sure.
|
I think it was after the Nation.

D'Lo Brown, in my opinion, always had and always will have the potential to be as popular as Chris Jericho and RVD were in their primes. D'Lo was one of the few characters in the WWE that got GREAT reactions as both a heel AND a face....and VERY few wrestlers can say that. Having said that - I have absolutely no confidence in the WWE creative team. In all likelihood, D'Lo will be a mid/low-mid carder, and job in probably 2 out of every 3 matches that he'll have. The crowd will lose interest in him as result. I pray that I'm wrong, but I have no reason to feel differently. |
SmackDown and RAW are definitely hurting for someone to be competitive for THe IC and US Championships. D'LO should have been SAVE_US.
