Wow, this is pretty even for me.

I haven't watched anything from Christian since he left WWE, so the nod goes to Matt Hardy.

Destor 06-20-2008 11:32 PM

Matt Hardy for me with ease. A little different than Raven, better worker but Christian does get the edge over Hardy in the mic department. But I think Hardy has true potential to reach the top of the WWE if the stars allign for him. Unlike Christian who I think just isn't at that level.

Destor 06-20-2008 11:32 PM

Remeber to thank our new poster LegendKiller2007 for this match up :y:

MCEazy 06-20-2008 11:34 PM

Hardy in my opinion has a bit of a ways to go to match Christian's success and promo's. Don't get me wrong, i've liked matt since he debuted w/ jeff and hayes and have liked his wrestling style and charisma. I think he may be something much more in a few years, but for now christian reigns supreme in this match up.

Legend Killer 06-20-2008 11:35 PM

Well this will be a tough one... I will need another day to decide. I thought of Matt Hardy because of the thread that was made and the way he is performing right now.

Lock Jaw 06-20-2008 11:36 PM

I love Matt, but again, Christian I think outranks him both in ring and on the mic. Also, Christian, if he returned to the WWE, I could see becoming main event. Matt Hardy, not so sure I ever see him up there. More of a mid-card staple of goodness.

thedamndest 06-20-2008 11:38 PM

Matt is on fire right now. I have always thought Matt Hardy could be a successful Marty Jannetty (not as flashy, but still very competent) if he was pushed right and it looks like that is what is going on. Christian is good but he can't slap a tornado.

CSL 06-20-2008 11:43 PM

Like the last couple of these, two guys I really like. Matt gets the edge as the worker but I would say Christian is streets ahead in terms of charisma/mic skills. And in the 'road to the top', guys with superior mic skills/charisma tend to find success more than the better worker (and just behind roid monsters/giants) and seeing as Christian is also solid in the ring and has consistently good matches, I see him as the better 'package' and give him the nod

Cuzziebro 06-21-2008 12:06 AM

Hardy by a long shot.

Legend Killer 06-21-2008 12:09 AM

Alright Mic Skills mean a lot in the business, but they don't do anything FOR ME as a fan. Chris Benoit wasn't always the best talker but his matches spoke for him. Both Matt Hardy and Christian have strived to be the best and only one has had success due to MIC SKILLS meaning a lot in the business. They both work great in the ring, but I see more of a fir in Matt Hardy's eyes. I think he is capable of being at the top of the mountain. Matt Hardy's matches like Benoit's speak to me...So my vote goes to the SENSEI OF MATTITUDE.

shit this almost makes me re-think my vote but too late :(

Destor 06-21-2008 12:55 AM

7-7. This might be another good one.

James Steele 06-21-2008 12:58 AM

Matt Hardy. Christian has really disappointed me in TNA. He was great for a little bit, but he isn't much more watchable than the rest of TNA.

LOL

Afterlife 06-21-2008 01:32 AM

I went wich Cage, because there was a time when I knew he was destined for gratness. I"m not sayting Matt Hardy isn't, but I"ve yet to feel that energy.

Verbose Minch 06-21-2008 03:25 AM

Matt Hardy takes it in a second, he's had consistently good matches for what, the past year, year and a half? Plus he had the best feud in a long time with MVP. Christian has done?

Destor 06-21-2008 03:26 AM

To be fair neither of carrers cna be summed up in the past year-year and half.

El Fangel 06-21-2008 03:30 AM

Christian, and only by the hair on Austins head.

I have a VHS tape of the official music video. How you come up with some of your references... It's mind-boggling, is all I'm sayin'.

He's a twice over NWA champion and main eventing in the second biggest federation in America and it's not like he's not having consistently good matches.

James Steele 06-21-2008 04:46 AM

If it was 1985 then being a 2 time NWA Champion would matter much more. TNA gave the NWA title to every guy who was ever over in WWE. He has been good, but he finally got the how revolving around him for a period of time and didn't live up to the hype of how he got held down in WWE. Matt has taken the little WWE gave him and is running with it.

The Optimist 06-21-2008 05:01 AM

So, Matt tries harder.

Pardeep 619 06-21-2008 05:38 AM

As much as I like Christian, I think Matt Hardy is better. He seems to have that energy and connection with the crowd (like Jeff Hardy does minus the screaming girls). Christian was great for WWE in 2005 but they screwed up his potential. In TNA he's still pretty good... but... I can't quite put my finger on it... dspite winning world titles he just doesn't seem to reach that greatness level that I though he could reach.

Toitally agree. Christian wins my vote for those reasons.

NoRoolz 06-21-2008 09:11 AM

Two great workers, but Christian gets the nod for me.

Their ring ability is very similar, Christian is better on the mic, and Christian in 2005 was someone who I could easily see being pushed to the main-event that year, he has the aura about him of a main-eventer, whereas I'm not sure about this with Matt Hardy. In time, probably yeah, but right now I see him as an upper-midcarder at least for a while more.

So yeah, Christian.

Kane Knight 06-21-2008 10:26 AM

Matt Hardy is a solid wrestler, a showman, and an entertainer.

Christian does all that, though probably slightly inferior in terms of wrestling skills, and then some.

I like Matt. It's just that Christian is better. Matt was over in WWE, Christian was moreso.

KYR 06-21-2008 10:33 AM

I was a fan of E & C - some classic tag matches. I was a fan of The Brood in Undertaker's Ministry. I hated Christian's "losing streak" and DDP trying to get him to "smile". Loved the ass cream. But then I loved his association with Jericho and eventual turn on him. More often than not, Christian has entertained me in promo's, on the mic and in the ring. I don't watch TNA, even though it happens to be on my TV at the moment in the background, so I can't comment on his current performance.

As much as Matt is a fine ring technician he just hasn't entertained me as much as Christian.

Skull316 06-21-2008 11:37 AM

Once upon a time i'd have said Christian, however I believe TNA has dragged him down and I've been a lot less entertained by him than i was in the past. Matt Hardy, however, has only gotten better since his return to WWE.

What Would Kevin Do? 06-21-2008 11:53 AM

This is a really tough choice for me. Christian is better on the mic, Hardy is better in the ring. Both have great potential... I'm almost tempted to give this to Hardy for giving an ROH shout out on Raw (I kid, I kid.)

Not sure... I'll come back to this.

Destor 06-21-2008 01:22 PM

Interesting stuff so far.

Lock Jaw 06-21-2008 02:40 PM

Look, Christian is awesome, even in wrestling forum popularity matchups, he has good matches. He doesn't completely bury his opponents, and every time so far has barely squeaked out a win, in true heel style, leaving his opponents with some credibility.

Rammsteinmad 06-21-2008 02:58 PM

This is an interesting match up.

Both men were part of legendary tag teams where they played "second fiddle" to their partner. Edge was always seen as better than Christian, as was Jeff to Matt.

However, both men have come a long way to show that they aren't second players. Personally I voted Matt Hardy. Christian is awesome all round, but I've always liked Matt. I've watched those interview DVD's with the Hardys, and Matt always seems so passionate about wrestling, and he has a very good knowledge of the business. Though Christian has had success in TNA, I believe in time, Matt Hardy will make a huge impact on WWE.

Jeritron 06-21-2008 03:25 PM

Because I felt like it. I felt like voting Matt, I felt like tying it up, and those are the only reasons you need

Jeritron 06-21-2008 03:26 PM

p.s. I think he's more entertaining and exciting at this juncture

St. Jimmy 06-21-2008 03:36 PM

Mattfact: Matt Hardy performs rimjobs often.

Afterlife 06-21-2008 10:57 PM

Everybody's younger than Destor.

Outsider 06-21-2008 11:14 PM

Christian is entertaining and charismatic. Matt Hardy is not. In the ring they are both solid, although Christian is probably the better of the two, but on the mic there is no contest.

Heros Welcome 06-22-2008 01:04 AM

Well I find both men very talented. I was always a bigger fan to their counter parts in Edge and Jeff, but to stay on topic here I am going to give the vote to ...Christian.

Matt is a great wrestler and probably a better one than Xtian but as a total package I think Christian is the better man. And this is coming from a guy who loved MATTITUDE!

Destor 06-22-2008 10:01 AM

20-16 for Christian with a day and half to go. Could as close as the last three. SHould be interesting.

Mercury Bullet 06-22-2008 11:03 PM

I give Hardy the vote, I think he deserves as does he deserve a better role in WWE at the moment.

Londoner 06-23-2008 05:52 AM

Wow this is close.

Destor 06-23-2008 01:07 PM

With 12 hours to go this is only seperated by three votes. COuld we see our first tie here?

Londoner 06-23-2008 01:28 PM

Christian deserves to win.

screech 06-23-2008 04:17 PM

Christian gets my vote here. He's more entertaining in the ring and so much better on the mic than Matt. He's the main reason I watch TNA. If he came back to WWE, I'd still mark out for him.

Matt is a solid worker, but it doesn't seem like he'll ever reach the superstar status. He's been a staple of the mid-card way too long to be taken seriously at the top. If he does get a title, it'll be like RVD's run. A little time with the strap, then right back to the middle of the pack.

Christian's already a superstar in TNA and would definitely be on top (or close) if he ever returned, so Christian Cage FTW.

MCEazy 06-24-2008 03:12 AM

christian's next opponent should be rey mysterio or something

Lock Jaw 06-24-2008 03:15 AM

Christian's next opponent should be someone deserving... like Shark Boy... or Sonjay Dutt...

MCEazy 06-24-2008 03:53 AM

curry man! :shifty:

Londoner 06-24-2008 09:14 AM

Christian wins a close battle again!

NoRoolz 06-24-2008 12:14 PM

AJ Styles next :naughty:
