I guess Afterlife hates Christian cause there's no other excuse for this one. Christian greatest strength is his promos. Well he isn't in the same league with DiBiase on the stick. And if we talk in the ring it's the same story. In comparison Christian is a joke. And the poll better reflect it.

Lock Jaw 06-26-2008 07:13 PM

DAMMIT DESTOR.

I love both men in a heterosexual way.

But... I think my vote will go to Christian. I predict that he will need it.

Anybody Thrilla 06-26-2008 07:15 PM

Definitely Dibease. I love Christian, but The Million Dollar Man gimmick was such a PERFECT gimmick, especially during the time it was around, and Ted Dibease played that character to a mother fucking tilt. I'm not so sure anybody could have made that character work like Ted did. I enjoyed his ring work more than Christian's too. Pretty easy pick for me here, as Dibeases is one of my favorites ever.

Afterlife 06-26-2008 07:16 PM

CHristian is far superior to Dibiase! YOu tricked me, Destor!!

Afterlife 06-26-2008 07:16 PM

I totally said Duke "The Dumpster" Droese!

Destor 06-26-2008 07:16 PM

WHAT?!?!

Destor 06-26-2008 07:16 PM

BATTLE CAT

thedamndest 06-26-2008 07:17 PM

Been waiting for Ted DiBiase to get up here for awhile. Million Dollar Man is one of the best in the ring, on the stick, at commentary, as a manager, all around great. I suppose he doesn't play a very good babyface, but eh, rich guys probably aren't supposed to. And the Million Dollar Belt is my second favorite, only to the 80's Intercontinental.

Anybody who can make you give a fuck about Virgil is definitely a legend.

thedamndest 06-26-2008 07:21 PM

Hey, Virgil was the man. I am sorry that WWF booking could not see WWF championship material in him like I could.

Londoner 06-26-2008 07:26 PM

Gonna vote Christian just cause i haven't seen much of Ted Dibiase and obviously have seen more of Christians work.

Londoner 06-26-2008 07:27 PM

This could be another close one it seems..

Destor 06-26-2008 07:27 PM

Christian shouldn't even get a single vote on this one. How is he only one vote behind?

Destor 06-26-2008 07:27 PM

Still early though.

Afterlife 06-26-2008 07:28 PM

Because he's Captain Charisma!

Londoner 06-26-2008 07:30 PM

No one can beat Christian.

Afterlife 06-26-2008 07:34 PM

Especially not some douche with a sleeper hold.

Destor 06-26-2008 07:35 PM

I wanna neg you soooo much right now.

Anybody Thrilla 06-26-2008 07:37 PM

It's actually a cobra clutch. God, I keep forgetting how many young people are on these boards. How have you not seen much of Dibease????

Young? I'm 25. I just happen to think Teddy was pretty boring in the ring.

Destor 06-26-2008 07:40 PM

Best theme ever. The should have Jr. do the same shtick.

Well this is coming from a guy who thinks Ric Flair is shit...sooo...

Londoner 06-26-2008 07:44 PM

Ric flair ain't shit, just past his best. As you would be at his age..

Afterlife 06-26-2008 07:45 PM

Ric Flair is basically worthless.

I'm too young to have Dibiase nostalgia. But I expect this too be a slaughter.

The Optimist 06-26-2008 08:06 PM

So much potential negrepping for Afterlife.

The age thing was mostly referring to TL. Also, Christian really isn't all that amazing in the ring. There, I said it.

Destor 06-26-2008 08:07 PM

I can't do it no matter how much he deserves it.

I've pointed this out in every round so far.

Anybody Thrilla 06-26-2008 08:08 PM

I suggest "Lightning Foot" Jerry Flynn to take on the winner of this one.

Destor 06-26-2008 08:09 PM

Watching a Lynn shoot right now actually. But I dunno. The next one will be putting christian in the HoF if he wins this and no TPWWer is familiar enough with Lynn to put him over despite the fact he's LEAGUES above Christian.

Destor 06-26-2008 08:13 PM

Yeah, I remeber him jobbing to Goldberg.

Ruien 06-26-2008 08:16 PM

Christian, just for the fact I am to young to know Ted DiBiase stuff. Besides for the faint memories of him with the 1-2-3 Kid.

May I vote for Chstian again, please?

Anybody Thrilla 06-26-2008 08:46 PM

Come on. You can't showcase a match with Brutus freakin' Beefcake if you're trying to sway the vote.

Destor 06-26-2008 09:05 PM

This poll is retarded.

MCEazy 06-26-2008 09:07 PM

DiBiase's got better mic skills, gimmick, is a much better heel (one of the best ever in my mind) and Money Inc. is one of my favorite tag teams. The only category christian wins is wrestling style but alas it's not enough in this battle.

Afterlife 06-26-2008 09:07 PM

This poll is Karmaic. lol

Afterlife 06-26-2008 09:07 PM

So says Battle Kat. :p

Anybody Thrilla 06-26-2008 09:29 PM

I am really disappointed in TPWW right now.

Destor 06-26-2008 09:30 PM

No shit

Lock Jaw 06-26-2008 09:54 PM

Not as bad as Taz getting into this things Hall of Fame.

Mercury Bullet 06-26-2008 09:59 PM

LOL Jerry Flynn. I remember that guy.

Anyway I voted for The Million Dollar Man. Even if you had never heard of either of the two of them, just by looking at the two pictures you should be able to tell that he was entirely more awesome.

Caged Heat18 06-26-2008 10:04 PM

Haven't posted in like a year, but this caught my eye. This one is way closer than it should be. Gotta help the Million dollar man win this one.

Mercury Bullet 06-26-2008 10:05 PM

Wasn't he in The First Family with Jimmy Hart?

Theo Dious 06-26-2008 10:11 PM

Thank you all, I just pulled Ted ahead.

I will, yet again, restate my claim that Ted DiBiase is the best heel in the history of Vince McMahon's company, F or E. The Million Dollar Man gimmick could easily have sat up there alongside the Red Rooster, Akeem, or Repo Man in terms of laughability, but DiBiase had the look and the voice to make it believable, plus he was a technical minimalist master in a day when technical wrestling was not yet cool. I remember being a mark kid and hating him for being such a bad guy, and still I watched him put on matches against jobber opponents on All American Wrestling, Wrestling Challenge, and Superstars, matches that put half the midcard to shame. He was mesmerising in that god damn ring, second possibly to the Undertaker in terms of a man whose every muscular twitch serves a purpose. He was a cowardly heel when he had to be, but you KNEW he was a dangerous opponent. I remember after he and Virgil beat the Rhodeses, at school (sixth grade if I recall correctly) having an argument with this kid:

Him: I can't believe Dusty got beat like that?
Me: The Million Dollar man is in much better shape, Dusty's an old fat guy. He didn't have a chance.

Not to mention, forget about making people care about Virgil, who else could make the Million Dollar belt mean something? I remember when Jake Roberts stole it and carried it around in his bag with Damien; you could tell that DiBiase wanted it back as bad as if it was an actual championship he'd lost. There was an episode of Prime Time Wrestling where that Jamison guy accidentally "stole" it, and he gave a performance that would make you think that his first-born child had been absconded with.

Christian is awesome and deserves all the wins he's got so far, but let's be honest here, in terms of who's better, DiBiase could *ahem* buy and sell his ass.

Theo Dious 06-26-2008 10:32 PM

Just as an aside: what did the Million Dollar Belt secure with? Cause as a kid I always thought it was just a giant magnet painted gold.

Fixed.

Juan 06-26-2008 10:58 PM

Oh WTF @ Christian having almost as many votes as Ted? Are we surrounded by kids?

The One 06-26-2008 11:04 PM

I voted Christian.

1) I'm a huge Peep, will be one til I die.

2) Never was a big DiBiase fan, always kind of thought he was a smidgen over rated by smarts.

3) I'm a huge Peep, oh yeah I said that one already, well then how about because I liked Christian's theme music of "CHRISTIAN! CHRISTIAN! AT LAST YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN!" more than Million Dollar Man's.

(P.S. Jerry Lynn is a god. I honestly don't know which way I'd vote between Lynn and CC)

PapaGeorgio 06-26-2008 11:16 PM

Dibiase is one of my all time favorites. He is just soooooo awesome. I also love christian but he lacks the Dibiase factor.

(Note: My vote may have been funded by Dibiase.)

CSL 06-26-2008 11:19 PM

This isn't even close. I love Christian and everything but this is Ted fucking DiBiase. One of my top 3-4 personal favourites of all time, top worker, top promo guy and possibly the single greatest heel of all time. No brainer.

Juan 06-27-2008 12:52 AM

You are on point, Mr. Manning. :y:

Also, anyone who voted for Christian should be banned from the wrestling forum.

Heros Welcome 06-27-2008 02:32 AM

I have seen very little of Ted, but always felt the character was very cool and the stable was just genius, but I have seen more of Christian and I feel that based on what I have seen more of will get the vote.

Maybe in the near future when I see more of Ted my vote would change, but for the time being it goes to Christian.

D Mac 06-27-2008 02:56 AM

Dibiase big time.

Verbose Minch 06-27-2008 03:04 AM

Just tied it up for the Money Man.

Anyways, not only is Dibiase better in every way, just look at that suit in his picture!

D Mac 06-27-2008 03:06 AM

If not for Dibiase's evil laugh alone. :D

KYR 06-27-2008 04:02 AM

Looks like you need some "old school sanity" injected into this debate.

C'mon, it's TED DIBIASE!!!! I'm a DiBiase mark from way back - along with The Rock probably my all-time favourite heels. Darth sums it up beautifully. :y:

Has to be an absolute sure thing for our HOF.

Londoner 06-27-2008 08:07 AM

Another close one it is! Dunno how christian keeps surviving. :D

Rammsteinmad 06-27-2008 09:48 AM

Christian.

Nothing against Ted DiBiase, but back in the day I wasn't too familiar with him, and I guess over time I just never paid much attention to him.

KingofOldSchool 06-27-2008 09:57 AM

Wow it shouldn't even be close.

Christian, although entertaining, is not even in DiBiase's league.

Destor 06-27-2008 09:58 AM

Tied. Wow.

Afterlife 06-27-2008 10:09 AM

This is what hapens when you bamboozle the Afterlife. :p

Anybody Thrilla 06-27-2008 03:00 PM

Fuck you, TPWW. Fuck you in your dirty asshole.

Anybody who posted in this thread and voted for The Million Dollar Man and has not received a rep from me for it, let me know and you shall be rewarded for your non-retardery.

MCEazy 06-27-2008 03:11 PM

I voted for the obvious choice Thrilla

Londoner 06-27-2008 03:14 PM

lol@the ted dibiase fans being shocked/abusive.

Anybody Thrilla 06-27-2008 03:18 PM

This is a travesty. Don't get me wrong, I like Christian, but there's is no way he should even be considered on the same level of The Million Dollar man. I'm gonna start a veterans faction here in the wrestling forum. We'll be more popular than The Kliq, and much older as well. :y:

Destor 06-27-2008 03:20 PM

I can't support this anti-Kliq sentiment, but other than that :y:

Anybody Thrilla 06-27-2008 03:22 PM

BRB, gonna go make some sock accounts to vote for DiBiase.

thedamndest 06-27-2008 03:23 PM

Anybody Thrilla 06-27-2008 03:24 PM

Ted would be very proud of this effort.

Destor 06-27-2008 03:27 PM

I can't comprehend this poll.

Destor 06-27-2008 03:27 PM

Blows my mind.

thedamndest 06-27-2008 03:29 PM

If Christian wins here put him up against Andre and then when Andre wins he will sell his victory to Ted. I don't see Jack Tunney anywhere.

Destor 06-27-2008 03:29 PM

KoOS already picke dthe next opponent.

thedamndest 06-27-2008 03:30 PM

Is that the last one?

Destor 06-27-2008 03:31 PM

Yeah, it will be CCs last match.

thedamndest 06-27-2008 03:32 PM

Post of the year candidate.

thedamndest 06-27-2008 03:36 PM

That guy ruined everything. Calling the '94 Rumble a draw? Come on.

Anybody Thrilla 06-27-2008 03:40 PM

When I was a kid, me and some friends always used to have Royal Rumbles. We would all pick a wrestler and fake fight each other until we got eliminated, then we would become a different wrestler and re-enter. This one kid would always enter the Rumble as Jack Tunney and threaten to fire us if we attacked him.

thedamndest 06-27-2008 03:43 PM

That kid was really ahead of his time booking like that.

Anybody Thrilla 06-27-2008 03:44 PM

Seriously, solid move.
