We're live and it's J.R. on play by play welcoming us to Night of Champions from Houston. He's hanging out with Mick at ringside and we go to the ring for the opening contest.

Match 1: John Morrison & The Miz (C) vs. Hornswoggle & Finlay

Pretty boring set. Remember the days when they had big elaborate sets that matched the PPV title? This one looks like RAW.

Everyone loves the Swog...except for those of us that want to punt him 50 yards into the upper deck.

Finlay and Morrison to start. They circle each other and lock up, Finlay taking advantage first with a big shoulder block and European uppercut. He gets a 1 count from a stiff lariat and follows up with a scoop slam and elbow drop, and then a laterial clutch.

BTW, so much for "J.R. no shows tonight's PPV"

Let's have Hornwoggle The Title Killer win the WWE Tag Team title so they can discontinue that too.

Hang on... Morrison and Miz, and Finlay and Horny are all ECW guys... so why are JR and Foley calling this one?

Morrison hits a dropkick on the apron to Finlay and the champions take control.

Carl, I think JR and Foley are calling the match because it's for the tag belts that technically belong on SD!.

Morrison hits Horny for some bigh eat, and the champions take control on the midget. LOL.

But the rules of the draft stated titles will travel between shows along with their owners, hence why the US title is now on ECW.

Whoever wins this match, the titles will be around the waists of an ECW team.
