* Vickie comes out and apologizes to the crowd for her thing with Edge to redeem herself. She then announces a WWE Title Scramble for Unforgiven. There will be two qualifying matches for it tonight.

Maria b. Natalya
- Maria got the win via disqualification. Maryse came out and interferes.

Armando Estrada, Funaki, Super Crazy, Scotty Goldman (Colt Cabana) & the other new guy on Smackdown last week are out. The Big Show is at ringside. Brian Kendrick, Curt Hawkins, Zack Ryder, Jimmy Wang Yang, Vladimir Kozlov are also all out. This is a qualifying match for the scramble. The Big Show walked in & threw everyone out. Brian Kendricks bodyguard caught him, show left, Kendrick is thrown back in & is the winner.

Those wins won't count as official title reigns, the only one that counts is whoever is the champ by the end of the 20 minutes.

So if Kendrick won a pinfall during the 20 minutes, he won't actually be recognized as champion.

<font color=goldenrod>Yeah I know :( WWE won't officially recognize it, they didn't recognize the reigns from the Hardcore Title match at WM16

However, sites like Wikipedia and other places do.....better than nothing :shifty: It's about as close as Kendrick will ever get anyway

This could be very good and very bad at the same time. I love how all these new guys are in the title match, but are we forgetting who the champion is? If any of these guys get pinfalls over HHH, I'll be shocked. But here is to being shocked.

No way does HHH win, but that is awesome that they are pushing these guys to a main event match.

We will see where it goes from here, but Smackdown honestly needs some new Main Eventers. When Edge/Taker are doing their thing, that doesnt leave much (Khali) fodder for HHH.

I see HHH defending in matches like this for a few months, until he finally starts a program with Edge or Taker.

well, I wouldnt call him the most deserving person to get a title shot but he has been with the company for a while. I just hope if he dose get a title they dont forget about Big Eziek :shifty:

This is pretty fucking awesome. The Brian with a brain getting a push is absolutely awesome, and this is certainly a big rub for him already. What I'd love to see happen: The young guys team up against Triple H, take him out of the match for a while. MVP, Kendrick, Hardy and Benjamin trade falls, until Triple H makes a comeback, only for Kenny Dykstra to run-in, take out Triple H (further SmackDown! stuff), and for one of the new guys to walk out with the belt.

It is completely unrealistic to expect The Kendrick to get to do that (although he is my favourite in the match), but as The Man with the Plan, how incredible would it be? Especially if Kendrick hung back a lot, played it smart, and then popped in with The Kendrick on Jeff Hardy, or something.

Man, if only the WWE recognised these title reigns. Easy (although messy) ways to boost some stars and get their resumes up. I mean, really, the WWE is behind on it, so this sort of match could be an epic catch-up.

Will ECW get one of these matches? It's a pretty cool concept, I think. Just as long as the WWE doesn't overdo it. Mark Henry vs. Matt Hardy vs. Tommy Dreamer vs. John Morrison vs. Chavo Guerrero could be pretty cool. I was tossing up whether to include Chavo or The Miz, but as a former ECW Champion, and generally being better than Miz, I'd hope Chavo would get in.

I don't mind the hate. I couldn't give a fuck about BDC, and KK and Xero are just as tedious as I am. It's just annoying when it gets in the way of what should be a celebration of Kendrick getting into a title match, though.

Oh yeah, MVP and Shelton Benjamin are also in there. And Jeff Hardy. Pretty fun shit. I'd mark out if a ladder got involved.

Those two guys just have incredible chemistry. They had some good stuff going in ROH, too. It reminds me of the natural rhythm Paul London and Akio got into with their matches on Velocity. I still stand-by my prediction that a hypothetical Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs. Jimmy Wang Yang & Jamie Noble match would be one of the best things ever to happen.

That's pretty much all we can realistically hope for. That being said, Kendrick has been on a roll recently. His ring work, no matter how short he gets to work, is always entertaining, at least. What has really impressed me about him recently, though, is the effectiveness of which he has handled the mic. I see some great promos coming from Kendrick in the future.

I think this will be the sink or swim moment for Kendrick. If he can (is allowed) to put on one hell of a performence then we may be seeing him step up into some big fueds, if not he'll probably remain a midcard act, have Zeke turn on him (and destroy him), then get released.
