Will probably get hammered as I just picked this up yesterday and it's my first Madden since like... 06 BUT if you need someone to make up numbers I'll jump in.

Just the "my difficulty" settings. Honestly, I can't do anything on defense. I mean I've given up almost no points a game, but it isn't due to any skill. I mean I am using the Falcons, so it's not like my team is amazing, but I can't muster anything but a subpar running game.

I watch tons of football, but I'm no good at calling defensive schemes, and doing the correct defensive audibles and such. I don't really have very good vision of the field either. Backtrack is way helpful, but it makes me feel dumb for some of the stuff I miss.

I am unsure how this works, do we have a certain amount of time each week in which we need to play our opponent?

You go to the league and find another online player and invite them to a league matchup. It's completely flexible as to who you play and when. Theoretically you could play all the other players in one day but none of them play each other until later.

How do you even challenge someone to a game of Madden? The "Invite to Game" button is always greyed out for me. Pisses me off. Other than both going to the same lobby and doing it from there, is there a way to challenge to a game just through the Dashboard? Not talking about the league, just in general.

You have to create a session first. I'm not in the game right now, so I can't tell you exactly where it is, but it's like Online/Create Session/Custom Match or something like that.

I'm pretty sure it's because you keep creating ranked games. You can't challenege anyone you want to a ranked game. You can with an unranked game though. Ranked games have to be played through the lobby. Otherwise I would challenge my niece to a ranked game every time and I would be on top the leaderboards in no time.

Also, CTS, I didn't respond because I want it to be filled completely before I join. I also want to practice a little and get the NCAA play style out of my mind. I've only played 1 game against the CPU so far.

Yeah, was a good game. I had a awesome first half both offensively and defensively. Second half kinda trailed off just as Vito started to make some positive moves. Made me nervous after I through an INT.

VEL that was me, and for what ever the reason I got the same message prompt. We weren't in a league game though, just a regular ranked. You have to set up the league games from the league menu.

So I played Dave for my first game. He got off to a good start, 14-0 but then I rattle off 17 unanswered. He scores a touchdown early in the 4th to make it 21-17.

So we're late in the 4th. 3rd down and like 7 and I drop back to pass, see the blitz, and start to scramble. For some reason my brain went into NCAA 09 mode where I thought I had a QB who could at least jog away from the D and not 42 speed Kurt Warner. But no, Kurt tries his hardest to avoid the rush but running about 2 steps and going down.

4th and 14. I'm in the spread and I send Edge in motion, he runs a slant route, catches it, but comes up a yard short.

So Dave had the ball with about 1:20 left. I have all my timeouts. I stop 2 runs and now it's 3rd down. Dave tries to be sneaky and calls a play action. This happened:
