Hoping the Red Sox repeat last year's sweep of the Angels. Gonna have a much harder time though. We're gonna need Beckett's postseason dominance, but it's not looking good.

I think the most embarrassing thing about the Brewers is that their stadium is Miller Park. Very overrated beer in my opinion.

The glove and ball logo is actually an m on top of a b (for Milwaukee Brewers). And their newer logo with the M over the piece of barley is one of my personal favorites.

Jason Bay reminds me of Willy Mo Pena. He can't seem to hit breaking balls, but he destroys fastballs. Not sure what the Angels were thinking throwing him a fastball when he struck out on breaking balls the last 2 at bats, but I'm OK with it.

James Loney is developing into a major stud.

He sucked ass like for 15 games right before the playoffs, so that was awesome to see him crank that outta the park.

<font color=goldenrod>I'm not comfortable saying it's over until it actually is, especially in only a 5 game series...but wow. It's amazing how many LOL-worthy teams there are this year in terms of falling short of expectations. In the regular season alone you can throw the Mets, Yankees, Tigers, Indians in there...hell you can even link the Mariners in there since most people thought they would at least finish up a few games over .500

And in the playoffs...the Cubs are definitely in that group if they are knocked out first round, ditto for the Angels. I mean obviously the Red Sox are really good, but if you win 100 games and still can't get past one round, that's awful.

Although I picked Cubs/Angels WS when the playoffs started, I'm really pulling for Rays/Cubs because I'd be happy with either result, a great story either way. Just as long as the Phucking Phils don't get there.</font> :(

I would. By nature teams with confidence or frustration are going to think that. People don't come out and say it however because its sore, sour and utterly pointless. It also makes you look like an idiot and a little bitch. Any team or athlete who has ever lost could say this, and those who are more deserving to feel so have always refrained.

But really, it's not only totally classless and uncalled for to say, even if you believe it, but it's also false in this case. I could see that sentiment if they went up in the series and blew it in game 5, or let the team come back when they had them near elimination. But the fact of the matter is they got beaten. It would be more accurate to say they're lucky they didn't get swept, again.
The entire series I think they only had a run lead on the red sox for 2 innings.
