The demo is out for everyone today. Two levels of 4 player co-op. It is <u>insane</u>. I waited to play the demo to reserve my judgment, but I had quite a few mark-outs during the 15 minutes I played, so I quickly preordered.

Looks like a PS2 game to me.

You are probably looking at an early build demo, or just someone running the demo on low graphics. Valve always makes lower system requirements so more people can play. The game looks fucking amazing. It's the same engine that Valve uses for all their games (Source).

It's alright. When you get about 50 or more zombies running at you at once it's pretty insane.

Online for the demo will only be uo til Tuesday so hurry. Who cares about World at War, play that whenever.

I am pumped about this game so much. I'm sure them demo is only a glimpse of some of the insanity.

Man, we played some Expert mode and its fucking crazy. Shit hits the fan in an instant! rarely the same play through twice. I love this game, it could be an addiction.

This demo is great. Can't wait for it.

I love getting the pipe bomb...and then getting to that part where you can set off the car alarm....

all the zombies come out after you and then you throw the bomb around and they just surround that...then BOOM

loved the demo. i think this comes out tuesday? definitely buying it and getting some of that dawn of the dead action going on.

u-warrior im getting online in about 10 minutes and sending a friend request if you ever want to play online. i hate getting into a random game with a bunch of guys who suck and dont know how to cooperate.

Shit is ridiculously fun with other people. Played the entire No Mercy campaign, ad it was brilliant. Plenty of teamwork, and holy shit moments. Finales, which are the last stage of the campaigns are fuckng INSANE. Hordes of infected of all variesties are thrown at you.

No Mercy finale takesplace on the roof of the hospital, and ended in true horror movie fashion on my playthrough. First guy to die fell off the side of the platform we were on, and got swarmed. Before we could help him, a tank (which is basicly a zombie incredible hulk) jumped up on our platform. And just like in the movies, the asshole of our group, who wasn't playing cooperatively throughout the game, got the most satisfying death when the tank punched him so hard, he went flying off the side of the building. After that, the chopper came in and we made a break for it, just as the biggest horde yet, came piling in. A hunter pounced on me, and my teamate blasted it off of me. But I had been injured and would need assistance getting back up. But since there were so damn many zombies, I made myself the sacrificial lamb, and told the other guy to go. Tried to shoot as many as I could with my pistol, from the ground, and just as the horde killed me, the other guy made it to the chopper, as the last survivor.

Was prolly one of the greatest multiplayer experiences I've ever had. Just amazing.

Oh, and playing as the zombies in versus takes a little getting used to, but it's mad fun once you do.

the team work aspect is great, i love how you have to cooperate otherwise survival is nearly impossible. but after i ended my game with fignuts i got put into a game with this really controlling chucklehead who kept ordering me to do things.

Yeah, that finale we did was ridiculous. Those other two guys had the right idea tho. They stayed at the house until the boards on the second level got torn down. Then they booked for the dock, where the infected can only reach you from one direction. There's just too many ways for the infected to get to you in the house, once the boards are gone.

the smart dynamic AI really makes this so much fun to play through multiple times too. i mean, i played this afternoon and only got 2 Tanks, but when we played we saw 4.

Getting this tomorrow, I cant wait.

Got it earlier today, but haven't had a chance to play it due to also getting Rock Band 2.

I would not pay $60 for this game. Fun, but c'mon, too repetitive.

This game is digital crack... I've haven't gone to bed before 2 this week because of it's stupid "one more go" in Vs. mode.

Was playing Vs. mode on No Mercy last night and when we were the infected, there was a witch on the last chapter, just above the first ladder (EG Unavoidable) so all four of us just stood in the shadows there, smoker pulls the first guy up towards the witch, set off the witch trying to shoot the smoker, first one down, sent in the boomer who got all four of them then me and the other hunter picked off the other two while the smoker grabbed the final one.

Hot times.

Of course. Depending on the level though, you can divide them up and let hunters/smokers do their "thang" while you chuck part of the pavement at some other unsuspecting goof.

I'm still waiting for the price to go down a little.

Amazon had both versions cheap on Black Friday (PC one only $20). You missed out.

Love verses mode, especially when people actually communicate and you can plan a decent attack. Have been the Tank a couple of times but only delt out some serious damange on my third go. Dont really like being the Boomer as he's a slow fat piece of shit.

Boomer is the best tool, if you get all 4 of them it's some sweet damage with some hunters to pick off some corpses.

I was yesterday morning, but then it cleared up.

So went to friends house with the game so me and other friends could play this co-op. I just assumed you could 4 player co-op it on one system cause that makes sense right. But you can only do it with 2 players on one system. Needless to say I was not happy at all.

It's a pretty intense game, I'm surprised they made it handle 2 player split screen

Also was playing yesterday with friends as I said, we just co-oped it and passed the controllers. But I wasn't playing so they gave me the mic to talk with others. Other guy started to talk about how the game had such a great storyline. I was like all you are doing is shooting zombies, not really a story. Then I asked him later if he liked how the story was developing. And he was like yeah I like how I keep seeing all these different zombies.

The game doesn't really have a story folks, come on.

Yeah VS mode is amazing, I wish I could be infected all the time.

Tried VS mode a couple times. Dunno, couldn't get into it. Felt a bit too chaotic, even for this game. I will give it another go.

You got to be tactical with Versus as the infected. Even as the survivors. They key to it all is teamwork. If I find a good team, we become unstoppable. Having people fall into traps. Once you get one Survivor dead, you should be able to win if all 3 attack at once and the boomer just does his thing. Talking about this all, makes me want to play it now.

It's $15 off at Circuit City's in America, for those of you holding off for a price drop. But it's not gonna last long.

My rommies played split screen online last night and I had fun watching. It's such a watchable game. Everybody that walks in my room starts watching it like a horror movie.

People have found glitches. I joined a Vs. game in progress to find my corpse being pounded on by 2 tanks and 6 witches.... Cunts.

The only team work I've noticed when playing is people just legging it to the end, dont bother stopping and fighting.

That's best for Vs mode, but up against a well organized infected team it's not enough.

Had an epic epic 2v2 lan splitscreen versus game last night. The computer AI is so well done that it worked so so well. It was a close match, and it was the most fun I've had playing multiplayer in a long time.

Got the game. Will be able to hop on in a few days.

I have the PC version. A few of us do.

I'd get the PC version if it wasn't for split-screen on the 360.

If some interesting mods come out or the PC version gets maps that are charged for on 360 for free, I would get it.

Rented it. Will be playing later.
