So how far could "The Legacy" go?
So I was watching the RAW recall and I was wondering with Sim Snuka possibly joining The Legacy stable and I was wondering, how far and how many people could they get to join? I mean they could call up David and Reid Flair, and isnt Big John Studd's son part of Tough Enough hey could call him up. Maybe they can see if they could convince Animal's son to try and join the WWE, I think I've heard Kevin Von Erich's son wanted to be a wrestler, and isnt D H Smith still floating around? They could even call back Brian Lawler to wrestle under his real name. So my question is, do you think they should just keep adding names to it or just keep it the way it is?
|
4-5 members is probably ideal.
|
34578359 guys in the stable would not work too well. I know that's what the Natural Born Thrillers did, but most of them were awesome. I really don't see David Flair doing too much for any legacy.
|
I'm really surprised they never brought back Grandmasta Sexay. He's too old now though.
|
There should be an angle where they try to bake a cake with a file in it and mail it to Nick Hogan. George the Animal Steele's son (to be played by Albert) eats the whole thing with the file and they spent an entire Raw waiting for him to shit it out.
|
As far as Animal's son, I think he's gonna be making much more money in the NFL. If he goes into the 'E, it's gonna be as a last resort.
|
We are talking a Butkus award winning linebacker.
|
Yup. Dude's a BEAST.
|
The name is queer as fuck.

Also, let's keep the stable around 5 guys, max. The last thing we need is an unendable nWo mess. |
I'm sure this group is just a ploy to get HHH and Stephs kids involved in an angle. Their daughter will make a surprise entrance at the Royal Rumble eliminating everyone INCLUDING HHH, thus turning heel and joining the group. HHH will win the belt at NWO and they will feud through to Mania where he will bury his own child in a 30 second squash match.
Mark my words, it will happen!!! |
Poppycock.

<font color=goldenrod>They wrote an article on WWE.com teasing Snuka joining and also asking what would happen if they group spread even further and they got the Colons and Natalya to join. I don't see that happening though, nor should it as the group would become too big.
I figure they will go with Orton, Rhodes, Manu, and Snuka up until DiBiase returns. At first, I could see DiBiase being a face of some sort...defying the group because Orton put Ted on the shelf. Meanwhile, Orton says he isn't cut out for the group anyway because Ted's dad is the only one not a HOFer, etc. Ultimately, Ted builds some steam only to turn and join anyway. If Matt Hardy is still ECW champion, I'd like to see him possibly use the Raw/ECW exchange to go for that. Meanwhile, Punk wins the IC Title and so Cody Rhodes goes for that, while Manu and Snuka become the tag team of the group and go for the tag belts. I think wrestling works best when there is a stable trying to win and control everything.</font> |
A better question is "What happens when Randy Orton gets suspended?"
|
Where the hell is DH Smith anyway?
|
I am really like Cody lately as Orton's lackey. Manu I am low on...for the "power" of the group he is not all that big or strong. I think orton is probably stronger. Snuka is a wash. When Ted Jr comes back that would be an ok group....they are just lacking elite talent.
Orton as the boss is top notch. Pricless as tag team champs would be a great fit again. They are great as Orton's remoras. Honestly, Manu and Snuka are crap, if they had one more elite talent that group could be amazing...Maybe Harry Smith could be more of the Power they need, but he is not exactly huge himself. |

As for The Legacy, I can see Snuka being courted as a member until someone discovers that he is adopted and therefore not a 'pureblood'. Thus he is kicked out of the group. Perhaps Ted, Jr. could be the man to discover this and use it as leverage to get into the group. |
There are also rumors Vince is pissed that Smith isn't on tv because Smith is a "legacy kid." Legacy as in multi generational wrestler, not nessicarily part of the stable. Though a new Hart Foundation would be a good foil to the Legacy.
|
I hope they bring up Mike Rotundo's son and him and DiBiase Jr. can form Priceless Inc.
|
The Hart Foundation is a bit of a stretch. It's fallen apart like twice already.
|
I honestly don't see Manu or Snuka going further than a tag-title reign. Rhodes will probably be IC Champion at some point and DiBiase Jr will definitely reach that level, maybe, just maybe if everything works out...he will become a World Title contender one day.
|
They should bring back the Million Dollar Championship and put in on Dibiase Jr.

I'm not sure what all this "Sim Snuka" stuff is about, but I'm assuming that Deuce came forward about being adopted by Jimmy Snuka, and growing up in the business. Sim Snuka will probably join the group, and team with Manu as the tag team, which I think would be very good for both of those guys. I don't get why people are down on Manu. The fella can speak, and in the ring, he can last. He's only very young and still pretty inexperience. All things considered, I'd say he's doing really well with what he's been given to do. A few World Tag Team Title runs, followed by an IC Title run, and I think we'll be seeing him do some good work on a very consistent basis. I'd leave the stable as just those guys, but if they were going to add more, I think they should just go all-out with it. Keep it simple, regardless of what extreme it is. Either it's a small pack of legacy wrestlers working together, or it's a movement involving pretty much all of them to wipe out the older stars. Chavo Guerrero could become a chapter leader over on SmackDown!/ECW, with The Colons joining as the tag team, and Jesse turning on Festus to reveal his last name to the world (and it's not "Dalton"). I'm not sure how good she is in the ring, but maybe the WWE could consider hiring Stacy Colon to work in the Divas Division, or something. |
Alright, I have the perfect idea. Ted Dibiase Jr. should return as the Million Dollar Champion and have Virgil's son as his bodyguard. He mistreats Virgil's son really badly and has him perform demeaning tasks. Then Rowdy Roddy Piper's son tells Virgil's son that he's better than that and doesn't deserve the abuse. Virgil's son should then feud over the Million Dollar Championship with Ted Dibiase Jr. and eventually win it. Then, at the end of the feud, have Repo Man's son cause Virgil's son to lose the title back to Ted Dibiase Jr. and then just make him a jobber.

If these guys were on ECW, I think the angle would be a lot more exciting. That way they could appear on all three brands, as per the talent exchange, and terrorise guys on all three brands. It'd get the younger guys to pay their dues more quickly, too, by working the larger schedules, and giving some justification for their early rise through the ranks.
Watching SmackDown!, I've decided that I definitely would not mind seeing Jesse Gordy join the group. |
God noid, why do we just put everyone on fucking ECW so they can all appear on on 3 brands. You are a fucking broken record with that shit.
|
I think he's got a point. Let's put Triple H on all three brands so he can terrorise the roster.
|
Title unification match, anyone?
|
No.
|
Reid Flair.

He's one of those guys that I really enjoy watching when he's actually doing something, but on the other hand, I can't really bring myself to care too much about him for the sake of an internet thread, for example. I think he's good, but to a degree. |
I think I mostly like him because he doesn't look like a miniature version of Randy Orton, unlike the rest of the stable
|
That's actually very true. Both DiBiase and Rhodes have reminded me of Orton. I quite like Rhodes, though, and I'm sure DiBiase will grow on me.

I'm just going to say it: I want to see Chavo Guerrero and "Jesse" from Jesse & Festus join The Legacy.
Chavo Guerrero is building towards something. Well, I hope so, anyway. He's a great worker, and is going to waste as Vickie Guerrero's coffee boy. He's been put in these sympathetic positions where it makes you crave for a face turn, but they've also used him so inconsistently (sometimes he looks like a guy they want to push, and other times he looks like an enhancement talent), that I just don't think a face turn would work. Chavo can appear on RAW, given the RAW/ECW talent exchange, so it's not too much of a stretch. He adds a veteran presence to the group, and can help Cody Rhodes, Manu & Sim Snuka "learn." At first I thought he would distract from the group, but now I think he could fit snugly into a tier between Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes -- possibly even winning the ECW Title again. As for Jesse? With Festus' weaknesses being more and more exposed over time (I mean in the kayfabe, bell-ringing sense), I can see Jesse getting "fed-up," ringing the bell on Festus himself one day, and then beating the crap out of him. Jesse can reveal himelf to be the son of Terry Gordy, and his name to be "Jesse Gordy." The WWE can then let Festus be the gimmick and Gordy be the wrestler, with the latter eventually going over to the RAW/ECW side of things. |
Personally? I think 4 is the ideal number for a stable. I would only recommend '5' if one of them was a full-time manager.
|
Goldust Feuds with the Legacy because they won't let him join, so he gathers up has-beens that are still wrestling such as Jim Duggan. (NEW STABLE)
|
and the has-beens will go over... making us angry

I'm not sure what is going on with Hardcore Holly, but for all of the things that make him an asshole, he is a pretty decent talent and someone that could play a very over part of the program. Sticking him in a tag team with Goldust would be hilarious, too. It'd actually have the straight man/comedic gold duality of a BookDust combination, too. Ted DiBiase could lead the group, furious that Orton kicked him in his head. Goldust thus gives DiBiase's "The Marine 2" a positive review when he looks at it in an issue of "Goldust in the Aisle." CM Punk has seemingly moved on with his life after being kicked in the head by Orton, but Kofi Kingston could still use the exposure of a feud with Orton and co. If not him, then maybe Charlie Haas? He's experienced, now over, and has a past relationship with Hardcore Holly. |

I say include as many of the next generation stars as possible and make them into a gang, taking over all brands of the WWE, nWo style. I'm not saying have them spray paint people, or throw Mysterio into a trailer like a lawn dart (though it's not a bad idea), but to have that gang mentality where they want to control everything.
With Vince McMahon gone, Shane and Stephanie are left to try and control Orton and his insanity. We then go with the big swerve as Shane turns on Steph and joins The Legacy; a third generation superstar himself. Of course this leads to a huge feud with the Legacy against the rest of the roster, and the return of Vince McMahon to join the faces and end the brand split. |
Hmmmmmmmmmm, not sure I like the idea of the group expanding ad infinium.
As it stands we have: Orton Rhodes Manu We could see Snuka join in the coming weeks and the possibility of DiBiase joining (which I personally would prefer him to do rather than fued with them) and you guys have suggested the following: Carlito Primo Jesse Chavo Reid Flair DH Smith That's a lot of lower card/not very over talent there. I think they run the risk of watering the concept down by adding too many names to it. I particularly wouldn't wanna see Chavo join - the guy is a veteran himself and thus doen't project the same image as the other members. I would like to see Natalya join (if they don't run with a New Hart Foundation (or would that be New New Hart Foundation?) as I think a stable should be looking to dominate across the company. Have Orton gun for the WWE/World Title, Rhodes/DiBiase aiming for the IC, Rhodes/DiBiase/Snuka & Manu go for the Tags and Natalya for the Women's Championship. |
Oh, here's another thought/topic for discussion.
How about Shane McMahon joining the group in a managerial type role. Using The Legacy to seize control of the company from his father. |
If they did go out all the way with the "gang trying to seize control of the WWE in its entirety" thing, I'd definitely add Chavo Guerrero to the group. I'd probably add Jesse Gordy, DH Smith, TJ Wilson & Natalya from SmackDown!, as well.
Sim Snuka joining on RAW makes sense, and eventually they should get backing from either Shane or Stephanie McMahon, this is true. One random addition I'd like to throw in, even though he's not second/third generation (which some feel might ruin things) is Gavin Spears. Not in any sort of meaningful sort of role. I just think the guy has some talent in him, and they could pass him off as Cody Rhodes' friend, like they did in developmental. He'd basically be the sponge of the group, getting his ass kicked by CM Punk when Cody Rhodes is not available, for example. |
How would everyone feel about marketing someone who is not actually a 2nd generation star as one? For example, have someone play Randy Savage's son.
So far everyone is legitamately the offspring of a famous wrestler, would you feel that the concept was watered down if they went the route I'm looking at? It wouldn't make a difference to the casual fan as they'll believe what they're told. |
XL, what you suggested would be like adding Vincent and Stevie Ray to the NWO
|

For some reason, I have the impression that when TJ Wilson is brought up to team with DH Smith, that he will be presented as a member of the Hart family. Like a distant cousin, or something. I'm not for the idea, per se, but it could be sort of interesting. I'd mark out for a guy calling himself "Ric Bockwinkel" and claiming to be related to both Ric Flair and Nick Bockwinkel somehow. Someone with a fair bit of talent to their name, though. If Trevor Murdoch were around, he looks enough like some of the old-school wrestlers to pull of being related to one of them. |
Quote:
Like I said, I'm by no means behind the idea, I just thought it is one many options that WWE has open and may well opt to take. Besides, Vincent and Stevie were added to nWo and I'd hardly say they "killed" the concept. |
