Was there a faction that did not have a leader?

Off the top I'm thinking spirit squad as one how about any others?

The Franchise 12-29-2008 11:29 PM

Does the Rock N Sock Connection count as a faction?

How about Team E.C.K.?

KYR 12-29-2008 11:34 PM

At first I don't think SS had a leader, but towards the end I think Kenny emerged as a pseudo-leader.

ClockShot 12-29-2008 11:36 PM

The Union comes to mind.

yeah I agree with that

KYR 12-29-2008 11:42 PM

I assume we have to count "managers" as leaders when pondering this question?

yeah like Vince was the leader of the corporation for awhile.

thedamndest 12-29-2008 11:50 PM

bWo?

KYR 12-29-2008 11:55 PM

The Radicalz?

They basically formed out of WCW's The Revolution who's leader was Shane Douglas.

Well Benoit kinda emerged as the leader... but not like "leader" but more the front runner of the group.

I thought he sort of became leader only when they reformed early 2001 and I always thought that was because they wanted to turn Ben-who face.

thedamndest 12-30-2008 12:04 AM

Can you count three man groups like Too Cool or three-man Demolition?

Fox 12-30-2008 12:20 AM

I would say that Rikishi was the leader of Too Cool. I mean, he did throw both of their asses over the top rope at the 2000 RR.

dangerous alliance?

.44 Magdalene 12-30-2008 05:00 AM

Did Evolution have a real leader? HHH and Ric did all the talking, but I wasn't sure if either of them were the clear cut head of business.

Nervous Ferret 12-30-2008 07:10 AM

TheMEXICools

GD 12-30-2008 07:30 AM

The Juice was the leader of the mexicools!

Rock 'n' Sock probably wouldn't, but I would assume The Rock as the dominant personality in that. Socko a close second.

Team ECK was definitely lead by Kurt Angle. Never a full-blown official group, but Kurt was the singles star, while Edge & Christian (and later Rhyno, for Team RECK) were supporting players.

In The Spirit Squad, while Mitch seemed to "lead" the group at first, that was just because he was the greenest of the green. Kenny, as expected, became the "stand-out" and "leader" of the group.

Juventud (Guerra, "Not to be confused with Guerrero" - WWE) was the technical leader of The Mexicools. Stevie Richards definitely seemed like the leader of the bWo to me. But maybe I'm wrong.

While one could make a case for Chris Benoit, I think The Radicalz are the best answer here. Partially because their gimmick was that of "real wrestlers" over from WCW. Also, weren't they a part of the McMahon-Helmsley faction? They were all, to a degree, subordinate, but their own group.

I remember them stating Evolution was about keeping the title on trips.

That was a tag team though

Haze 12-30-2008 01:20 PM

The Oddities seemed to function for awhile without a leader if I recall.

Clearly Noid was trying to make a joke insinuating that Socko was a member.

Ha. Ha ha.

Noid: I KNOW COMEDYYYYYYYYYY!

Fox 12-30-2008 02:11 PM

The nWo Wolfpack was kind of leaderless for awhile. Even if Nash did a lot of talking for the group, with people like Luger, Macho, and Sting around him, it's hard to say that he was the definite leader.

I think you can call Nash the leader, I mean I defiantly remember the announcers referring to him as the leader on a number of occasions.

To be fair, it was probably one of the funniest things he ever posted.

The WWE dropped Juventud's last name because they thought fans would get confused between a Guerra and a Guerrero. I was merely referencing that. Moron. It's the same principle as Shane McMahon/Shane Helms and Lance Storm/Lance Cade.

BigDaddyCool 12-30-2008 09:33 PM

Yeah, but we know who he is, moron.

I know, but someone suggested it as a faction, which I thought I was odd. Also, Xero, I was in a jovial mood so I decided to join the "Mick Foley is a bitch" line for a night, and listed his sock puppet as a more dominant personality than him.

I treat wrestling pretty seriously, because it's a bit of an escape for me, actually. And that was STILL better than any of those lame pictures Xero does up.

If some people don't know, you can't tell em.

The Genius 12-30-2008 09:36 PM

the truth commission?

James Steele 12-30-2008 11:32 PM

Noid, shut the fuck up.

James Steele 12-30-2008 11:34 PM

Seriously, you are arguing a stupid fucking point. 99% of the people on TPWW who Juventud's last name is Guerra. The other 1% are dipshits we don't want posting on TPWW.

Anybody Thrilla 12-30-2008 11:52 PM

The Truth Commission was DEFINITLEY led by The Jackyl (Don Callis). That was kinda the whole point, I'm fairly certain.

What about 3 Count? I didn't see TOO much of their work since I was way bigger into WWF than WCW, but did they have a leader? Tank Abbott was more of a pain in the ass than anything, right?

Anybody Thrilla 12-30-2008 11:53 PM

And who led the Job Squad? Al Snow?

KYR 12-31-2008 12:01 AM

Was Stevie Richards the "official" leader of Right To Censor?

DrA 12-31-2008 12:17 AM

the Kliq

BigDaddyCool 12-31-2008 10:34 AM

Shawn Micheals lead the kliq until half of them went to WCW, at that time Nash lead the kliq in WCW and HBK lead the WWF kliq.

So are you lying when you try the "it was a joke" defense most of the time, or when you make the excuse that you don't joke much because you take wrestling pretty seriously?

Also, is it escapism, or an excuse to put on your Mom's tights without getting beat up? :p
