OK, what the hell is going on with Legacy?

Manu out? Snuka in? Where's Dibiase? WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON???

Juan 01-01-2009 12:58 PM

I think Manu will take out Snuka to regain his spot in the Legacy.

Dave Youell 01-01-2009 02:34 PM

Crazy idea Orton, have both guys?

What Would Kevin Do? 01-01-2009 02:52 PM

Nah, get rid of Manu, he just looks bad. Bring back Dibiase. Orton, Rhodes, Dibiase, and Snuka would be a badass stable, and they'd look good. I mean, Snuka actually looks more imposing than Manu's out of shape ass.

Tazz Dan 01-01-2009 02:56 PM

TBH, I don't really care right now. It started off hot, but has kind of died in the ass a little bit. Dunno, might just be me :-\

Lock Jaw 01-01-2009 03:09 PM

Manu looks like Sayid from Lost, only fat.

Dorkchop 01-01-2009 03:29 PM

Manu would look pretty vicious with some tribal Samoan tattoos. They should keep Manu and Snuka for now. After a couple of weeks Snuka and Manu can get some heat between the other leading to Manu being kicked out. He can then team with Umaga or something until he eventually gets released.

WWE should bring back 3 Minute Warning.

Or not, that got old in three minutes alone.

Dibiase is making a terrible movie. No clue on mhy anything else is happening. Won't be surprised if it's equally terrible.

Sepholio 01-01-2009 10:11 PM

Yeah, gotta be honest here. Manu is horrible right now. Did you see his match on RAW? I thought he was gonna keel over and die, or at least puke or something. He needs to get in better shape.

How dare you judge it before the ten weeks of promos seamlessly woven into WWE storylines.

XL 01-01-2009 11:10 PM

I heard that Manu was being sent back to FCW, hence why he lost and was kicked out.

Mr. Nerfect 01-02-2009 01:27 AM

I don't think Manu is that bad. I actually enjoyed his match with Batista a few weeks back. His match with Batista. Anywho, both Manu and Snuka seem a little out of place in the group. Snuka is actually doing pretty well with his re-invention, though. I could see Manu teaming with Ted DiBiase when DiBiase returns, as well as maybe another third generation star, in sort of a war between the young guys.

XL 01-03-2009 10:06 PM

Yeah, that was my assumption as to where they were heading with this. I don't like it though, not one bit!

Destor 01-03-2009 10:10 PM

Legend Killer 01-04-2009 03:00 PM

To me, Snuka is to The Legacy as Batista was to Evolution. Snuka has the look to be in the Legacy, and his match on Monday was Phenomenal. Manu's look? Not so much, send him to SmackDown and team him up with Umaga, Tag Team Created... Wild Samoans 2.0! It's as easy as that.

The Legacy
Randy Orton, Ted Dibiase Jr., Cody Rhodes, and Sim Snuka

Mr. Nerfect 01-04-2009 07:31 PM

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of Randy Orton. I'd rather Cody Rhodes was doing something on his own. A proper feud with CM Punk over the IC Title could be very cool.

BigDaddyCool 01-04-2009 07:35 PM

Noid, not to nit pick, but doesn't one of them need to have the IC title first?

Well, one of them would win it first.

BigDaddyCool 01-04-2009 07:42 PM

Also, Rhodes and Punk already feuded, or at least had a series of matches together that was just passable, didn't set the world on fire or anything. I doubt merely tossing a title in the picture would do much more. Hell, they already did title matches between the too.

Mr. Nerfect 01-04-2009 08:04 PM

I think the philosophy and goals of the match would change, though. Instead of being CM Punk going over Cody Rhodes in a match designed to solely put Punk over, they'd be working in matches where there is meant to be more of an even ground.

BigDaddyCool 01-04-2009 08:07 PM

Philosospy and goals of a match don't mean anything to CM Punk who has no ring psychology to speak of.

You have to be kidding. If you feel this way your grasp of psychology is really poor.

BigDaddyCool 01-04-2009 08:10 PM

Every match I have seen him wrestle in wwe lately has been the exact same match from Punk.

Exact same moves, exact same order, exact same facial expressions. That is all psychology. I haven't seen him switch up his game plan for different opponets. That is psychology.

Punk is better than Rey Mysterio, but that isn't saying anything. Punk is very over rated.

Not really. That's workin blue print matches. Something Every star from Hogan to The Rock do. From Ric Flair to HHH. You are very wrong.

CM Punk is actually one of the better in-ring psychologists the WWE has. I can understand your disappointment at how his matches have been planned out by agents the same, but to say Punk himself has no ring psychology, when quite the opposite is true, isn't going to end well for you.

If Cody is Priceless, then Manu and Sim Snuka should be "Clearanced" .

RGWhat316 01-05-2009 11:43 PM

I still think Cody is the worst one of the group, and yet he is now the only one left with Orton.

HTrain90 01-06-2009 02:05 AM

Back to the Legacy for a sec...

Sunka is alright, but his matches have been far from "great." Rhodes is looking like he could end up being something more than CAWdy. I honestly feel like they're buying time for DiBiase to come back. Orton, Rhodes, DiBiase is a great group - just need a big guy to be the Batista-like character in the group. Maybe DH Smith? He is of that same ilk.

It's amazing how the voices of Kaientai sound absolutely nothing like Shane McMahon.... :shifty:

Evil Vito 01-06-2009 09:24 AM

<font color=goldenrod>A Manu/Snuka team seems kind of meh to me. I was sorta hoping for Manu to go to Smackdown to team with Umaga (if only because I can't help but think Umaga will get stale again fairly quickly if he's just an unintelligible savage heel)

Snuka's got some talent in him, so it's a shame he won't be in the group. Wouldn't mind bringing back Cliff Compton in a new gimmick and teaming him with Snuka again...just for the sake of beefing up the tag team ranks some more.</font>

Mr. Nerfect 01-07-2009 02:23 AM

I'm thinking that we haven't seen the last of Snuka. I think he'll be on RAW, trying to prove himself to Orton and Rhodes. Whether or not he makes it in, I'm not too sure. I think he's got an IC Title reign in him, though. I don't think he needs the group for that.

Manu might just need some more time in FCW. Or just have him work some ECW shows, and wrestle Finlay.

HTrain90 01-07-2009 02:26 AM

Manu just doesn't look like, well, anything. For some reason I cannot take him seriously. He seems to be ok in the ring, but he's dry as hell for some reason. Snuka will be alright. He works well and seems to have a decent amount of fire in his character. We definitely haven't seen the last of him - although I doubt he'll be in Orton's prestigious group.

Note to Orton: to have a stable, you can't kick everyone out.

Mr. Nerfect 01-07-2009 02:54 AM

I'm thinking the group will just end up being Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase.

parkmania 01-08-2009 07:48 PM

Snuka's gonna have to step up to Orton, and will end up beating him one on one to regain a spot in Legacy.

Or I'm thinking he may help Orton beat Kane next week, and the beat Kane himself, or something. I think Snuka being in would be a good thing for him, and Orton's group. But I dunno. It's messy the way they are doing this.

The Legacy needs Snuka, seriously.

The Optimist 01-08-2009 09:37 PM

It's pretty stupid looking. But then, I really don't buy Orton as the mastermind behind a stable for two seconds, hilariously it might just be the story working in character that Orton just doesn't know how to group these guys and motivate them properly.

Snuka should be renamed Simmy Snuka, he's pretty cool so he should be in the group. I don't know what to do with Manu, he's too much like Umaga even now. It's silly.

Umaga can at least cut a promo. Manu CANNOT!!!!!!!!!!

The Optimist 01-08-2009 09:59 PM

I agree, Umaga is better. Better in the ring, and already pretty credible, and hilariously looks in better shape. Like, anything Manu has shown he can do Umaga can do better. There's probably something better for Manu but I don't know what it is.

Mr. Nerfect 01-08-2009 11:23 PM

Manu is actually fairly good on the mic. He's got intensity and clarity down. I think he could evolve into a very good talker, if given the time.

Maybe the WWE should just hire Rikishi's sons (Jonathan and Joshua Fatu, I believe), and put them in a stable with Manu, and have them as the new Samoan Fight Club.

The stable is ass backwards. Clearly their trying to it make something it's not. They've fucked around with Orton and made him this nasty piece of shit with no personality and now your gunna pair him up with a fat samoan, Cody Rhodes who looks very frail, and Snuka who is average. It just doesn't have the makings for something that would actually work. Rated RKO was better.

I dunno, The Legacy just doesn't work for me.

So, about four weeks of masterbating got us right where we were in the beginning. Cool.

Dorkchop 01-13-2009 01:46 AM

The delivery of everything tonight regarding the Legacy was terrible.

I was interested in it until about now. Not to say this can't get interesting. I just don't care after tonight. I wonder if the ref for the match is second generation. I hope he isn't because no would gives a shit if a ref is second gen.

They should have had Kane join the legacy.

Juan 01-13-2009 03:43 AM

Those who didn't like this group from the beginning probably still wont after tonight, but imo tonight was bad ass and it made them look even stronger than they did when they started.

Haze 01-13-2009 12:24 PM

This group has been a mess from the very beginning. I mean in the last few weeks it looks as if the writers didn't really know what to do with this group. I mean let’s recap the last several weeks.
Orton punt kicks Dibiase.
Manu and Cody start assisting Orton.
Orton officially calls the group The Legacy.
The next week Orton threatens to break up the group.
Sim Snuka joins up.
The next week Manu is dropped.
The next week Snuka is dropped.
The next week Dibiase comes back, even after receiving the punt kick.

I mean what happened to the good ol’ days when this kind of stuff was played out a bit.

Savio 01-13-2009 01:30 PM

kinda debating on if it would have been better for Cody to turn on Orton or not.

BigDaddyCool 01-13-2009 01:58 PM

So when did they state he was a member?

The WWE didn't have a clue what they were doing. One week they all wrestled singles matches, and Orton said that if they win, they're in; if they lose, they're out. Cody Rhodes defeated CM Punk via countout, or something like that. Sim Snuka beat Charlie Haas, dressed up as Snuka's (adopted) dad. Manu lost to Matt Hardy, and Randy Orton also lost his match, but it is a "do as I say and not as I do" environment, I guess.

Michael Cole called that week "the first test" and Lawler said something like "I'm not sure if it's the first test. I think it's win, you're in; lose, you're out." So with that, it was fair to assume that The Legacy was shaping up to be Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes and Sim Snuka.

The next week, Orton officially kicked out Manu, and then said that Rhodes & Snuka would be in a tag team match, and they have to win to officially roll with him. Rhodes & Snuka then defeated Cryme Tyme, when Rhodes pinned Shad with the Rhodes of the Dice generic finisher #3 he's using. Orton then bumped into both guys backstage, and told Snuka that he was out, because he didn't get the pin.

So while Snuka was never officially in, I don't think we've seen the official formation of the group yet. Needless to say, it looks like it's going to be Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase. I wouldn't mind seeing the stable expand to include DH Smith (who as the son of Davey Boy Smith and the nephew of Bret Hart, has a lot of "legacy blood" in him), and Natalya. I mean, that's if they don't plan on doing anything with The Stampede Bulldogs idea.

I'd also consider putting Chavo Guerrero in the group, too, just so he has something relevant to do, and so the group doesn't look so...white. Then you can have the following guys go after the following titles:

Randy Orton - World Heavyweight
Chavo Guerrero - ECW
Cody Rhodes - Intercontinental
Ted DiBiase - World Tag Team
DH Smith - World Tag Team
Natalya - Women's

Afterlife 01-14-2009 06:15 AM
