You herd TNA fans?

They don't just find themselves to the iMPACT! zone

Afterlife 01-06-2009 01:13 PM

I heard I'm not really interested.

Mr. Nerfect 01-06-2009 11:35 PM

I've never seen this guy work, but I'm curious to see what the WWE does with him. Now that there's no cruiserweight division, I wouldn't have a clue where they'll stick him. Probably SmackDown!, and he'll probably spend a few weeks beating Chavo, then teaming with Carlito and Primo in six-man tags, and then jobbing to Kozlov.

But it'll be interesting to see if having a second masked luchador in the WWE does them good.

The Optimist 01-07-2009 12:41 AM

He makes me want to hang out with Mistico or Laredo Kid or Volador Jr.

Xerzes 01-07-2009 02:39 AM

Makes me want to see him fight Titanic Tim.

But he's like 210lbs, is he not? Ah well, given that he works the MMA style, it won't really matter. Looking forward to him debuting, to be honest. It'll be like the WWE has a slightly younger, less worn out, bigger version of Rey Mysterio.

Rey Rey better sign that five year deal quick...

Mr. Nerfect 01-07-2009 11:41 PM

With Rey Mysterio constantly being at the end of "I'm being bullied" angles, do you think the WWE might put Dos Caras with Rey on RAW, and push them as a babyface tag team?

Dos Caras should point out that he's bullied because he ASKS for it. REAL luchadors don't whine about being underdogs.

Teaming Dos Caras with Rey is lame and obivous. Hey, we got a new masked mexican, lets pretend like him and Rey are buddy buddy from back in the day. Cause you know that is what they are going to do.

It's a possibility. And even if it's not off the bat, acting like it'll never happen is pretty silly.

BigDaddyCool 01-08-2009 01:51 PM

Yeah, I know it is going to happen. But it is just so lame. Rey tags with every face, so it isn't suprising, just gay.

Afterlife 01-08-2009 01:56 PM

And I doubt it'll be super solid, like Christian/Jericho. It'll be about a "real" a tag team as Punk/Kofi.

CSL 01-08-2009 02:21 PM

6'5 with a legit background. If he adapts and they work his MMA in with the boom, who knows. Don't like that Nacho Libre look up there. This guy has worn a mask during MMA

Then why are we arguing? It's not like I said it'd be the best way to use the guy.

Mr. Nerfect 01-08-2009 03:54 PM

Dos Caras apparently means "Two Faces" in Spanish. A Harvey Dent gimmick for Dos Caras? :shifty:

I'm arguing it because that is your go to idea for all the new guys right now. "They should team swagger and ziggler because I think they are exactly alike depsite them being on different shows." "I think they should team Kizarny and Doink because they both have a circus gimmick despite Doink only being used in old time gimmick matches and Kizarny being on the short list for the next round of firings." "I think they should team Rey and Dos Caras because they are both spic in masks and I don't know anything about Caras."

Also, the two face/harvey dent thing, what you want to team Dos Caras with Jeff Hardy now so they can fight batman together depsite Jeff already have Matt Hardy as his tag team partner? Go fuck yourself.

Afterlife 01-08-2009 04:32 PM

First of all, to everyone saying Jeff is a Joker Rip-off: You're retarded. "Hey, look! Goldust has facepaint! He's immitating the Joker!" See how impotent that is? IT's worse with Hardy, because you not only sound stupid, but you're acting all cynical about it at the same time. Face paint doesn't make you a clown, much less an imitation of a completely unrelated character.

Two: New guys teaming with old names can help them get over. THat's not something for you to clench your anus over, BDC. It's just a marketting ploy. YOu really need to look at overall pictures before you bitch about things, instead of attacking ideas simply because they come from a guy you don't really know.

BigDaddyCool 01-08-2009 04:36 PM

Afterlife, the Jeff = Joker thing I brought up because everyone else is right now. Plus Jeff has been giving Joker-eque promo lately.

I'll clench my anus over whatever I want to. New guys working with vets, is a good idea, but it is just annoying because every new guy noid wants to make a tag team out of.

Swing and a miss.

I stand-by my idea for putting Swagger & Ziggler together as a tag team. Matt and Jeff Hardy team all the time, and they are on different shows. An ECW team is currently holding the World Tag Team Championship. You can not like it all you want, I couldn't give a fuck what you think. I think their amateur backgrounds would lend themselves to great tag team chemistry, and I think that they are pushing Swagger too fast and something like this can convert the current momentum he has into a division where it doesn't matter if he wins the belt tomorrow.

Kizarny and Doink wasn't my idea, so LOL at you. It's not something I seriously considered, actually. I did suggest that Kizarny could be salvaged, worst-case scenario by being put into a tag team with The Boogeyman. I also suggested that if Edge's idea for an Edge, Christian & Kizarny stable goes through, and Tyson Tomko ends up sticking with the WWE, then a team between Kizarny and Tomko could have a good dynamic.

I never said I wanted them to team Rey and Caras, so another fail on your part there. I merely asked how likely it was, and we seem to be on the same page there. Douchebag.

Also, how is my philosophy in other threads relevant here? Add something pertinent to the conversation here, BDC. But it's kind of cute that of three things you accused me of, one was correct.

Why doesn't it surprised me that BDC is a sheep...

And, no, BDC. Just no. I do not want to see every new guy in a tag team. I wouldn't put Evan Bourne in a tag team; I wouldn't put Ricky Ortiz in a tag team; I wouldn't put DJ Gabriel in a tag team; I wouldn't put Ryan Braddock or Scotty Goldman in a tag team. Right now, I wouldn't put Kizarny in a tag team. Hell, I disagree with the tag team of The Brian Kendrick & Ezekiel Jackson.

Stop thinking you've got all my thoughts mapped out. You don't. A lot of what you assume is just fiction.

Been over this a million times, the Hardys are an established team. DX is an established team, people expect them to cross over every so often. Ziggler and Swagger have never met on screen, they have no history. It would be odd for those two to suddenly team up.

You said you toyed with the idea of teaming them up. Edge, Christian, Tomko and Kizarny (if he got a better name) would work.

A tag team has to form somehow...

I joined in on the joke discussion, and said that in a bizarre sort of way it might have worked. I decided that it would be better if they brought in the Doink character for Kizarny to squash or something, though. And yes, the Kizarny name is awful.

They don't need to team up. Plus everyone knows who ziggler is. He came over and shook my hand.

Mr. Nerfect 01-08-2009 05:07 PM

I agree that they don't need to. I can just say that I'd personally enjoy it, and that I do think it would be great for both men, long-run.
