The name would make more sense if they called it the "Cena Merchandise". He hasn't worn a throwback in ages. I also like the name "SLAM IS POOPY".

To be honest I don't think it's all that bad. I mean, the move and the guy giving it isn't going to be any better or worse from the change. The name was stupid anyways. It was funny as a parody of the F5, when he was in the midcard, but now that both of those things are long gone it's pretty pointless.

My two cents is, the name change is inconsequential here. Still, if they're going to change the name they might as well have him start using a new move altogether to accompany the name, since it sucks to begin with.
I've also seen a major move undergo a name change while staying the same in the middle of a run. Maybe early in a career, or with a promotion or gimmick change, but never like this.

I don't really mind the change except for the fact that he already has a fucking move called the Throwback. They couldn't think of ANYTHING else to call it? Nothing at all? Come on.

When they were going with the whole "ANGRY CENA" thing against Jericho, it would have been the perfect chance to give him another finisher or at least start delivering the F-U like a DVD instead of a Fireman's Slam.

In my personal opinion, if this were the only change made then I wouldn't care. It's better marketing I guess. However, he's also giving annoying, heat killing promos and using terms like "poopy" to describe heels...all on top of the fact that he's constantly pushed onto us...changing the name of the FU is just another leaf to the pile for the disappointment we call John Cena.

It sort of irks me when a wrestler takes an old move's name, and gives it to a new move. Goldust had his neckbreaker finish called "The Curtain Call" after he returned in 2002 for a while, but eventually they started calling it the "Director's Cut", I think. For a while Ron Simmons was having his Spinebuster called the "Dominator."

The Throwback is the name of John Cena's flipping bulldog move, but I guess that's just "whaddamaneuva!" now. The STFU will probably be renamed to the "HLR." Hustle, Loyalty, Respect, don't you know.

I think they'll change the STFU to OMGWTFBBQ!
