Getting the golden axe in Super Mario Bros as time ran out Bowling a strike in Wii Bowling from another room Landing the plane in Top Gun Some 60 kill game in Call of Duty 4 Mega Man X: Storm Eagle's stage without getting hit |

|
The thing behind Bowser
|
ohhhh
I went through the entire SMB game without dying and not warping. I was like 12 or something. |
Nailing the Dragon Punch for the first time.
Constructing the gun-blade, Lionheart, in FF8. Pretty much a God after that. Beat every Halo on Legendary. Finishing my first song on GH2 on Expert. Don't remember the song, but I recall having a feeling of... exhaling. My first streak in the arcades on Soul Calibur. |
For me it would have to be beating Aladdin on Sega since I've only beaten it once, not to mention I beat it before my sister who always beats me in platformers.
|
Never losing a single fight in Ultimate Battle 22/28 to anybody. Ever. Unfortunately this was not duplicated in the Budokai games.
Beating my friend(and then never losing to him again after) for the first time on SSBM after months of him winning every time we played. |
GTA: SA 100%
MGS3: 5:46:03 not seen, no one killed, saved 19 times. Twisted Metal 4: Getting Monarch (going through the story 5 times with 4 lifes) River City Ransom: Without dying once. |
First time I successfully performed a Hadoken in SF2, I ran home to tell my family.

How did you land the plane in Top Gun?
RTCW: Wolfenstein - Mulitiplayer - Landing 28 goombas in one game  I don't really have alot, or alot that I can think of... |
I don't get 'proud' of things on games unless I score a great goal on Evo and save the replay or something. Had an awesome Browns franchise going on Madden a year or 2 back, that was awesome. I get way too emotionally involved in Football Manager as well
|
Getting Liu Kang to dance underneath a disco ball. I didn't know what was happening but damn it was great.
|
Beat Leisure Suit Larry when I was 7 years old.
|
And we begin to delve deeper into why Bad Company is such a sex fiend now :shifty:

NBA Hangtime SNES Dennis Rodman or somethin behind half court just flew up in the air doin this spiral thing with his arm n he never came down |
First time I ever played Tekken Tag in an arcade at the mall. I played for 3 hours on 2 quarters using King and Law. I absolutely wrecked like 20 people until a guy who worked there game and double perfect beat me. I hated him and he crushed my little 8 year old heart. Had a group of people watching and everything. I still hate that fucker.
|
Something that came to mind....
A few days ago I was over friends house playing some old fighting game for 360....I think it was Virtual Fighter, I'm not sure, but we were all trying to beat the game with this guy, you had to beat like 4 or 5 more guys to win, and the boss is some woman made out of liquid or something. I got the controller and just ran through everyone, including the boss, not even focusing on the game cause I was talking about something else the whole time. It was super. |
Was playing SvR2006 against Inadequacy I believe. It was a hell in a cell match. We were on the top, he went for his finisher and I countered, ran and speared him off the cell.
Was so epic looking at the time. |
Beating Godhand.
And that's enough. |
Landing the plane on TopGun was one of mine for sure, fuck that game.

So anyways one year, I think I was like 7 or 8. Was playing some fighting game and this kid comes up, looked like he was like 18 or something. Kid throws down a binder that has hundreds of pages of nothing but print outs of fighting game special moves. So of course the guy destroys me and I move on to another machine. Fucker followed me to like 5 other machines until I was just like whatever and went to play pinball. Even at like 7 years old though, I was like "loser". |
Then one time I pressed start on a game at the mall and it started. Some kid had put money in it and then came back and started yelling at me. Then my mom told him to fuck off.
|
This thread made me realize how many un-proud videogame moments I've had
|
<font color=goldenrod>I can't remember what game it was, it was so long ago...but this restaurant had one of those arcade games where up to 4 people could play and try to get through the story. Lasted the whole game...and by the end I was the only one left with any coins and had a huge group watching as I ultimately beat it.
Also, I first played GTA3 at a friend's house, and he had already unlocked the second island. Despite that, I still wound up buying the game and beating it before him.</font> |
Owning Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts with just the regular keyblade.
|
I think for me it had to start off with being able to do a fireball on SF2. After that I could any move cept the dragon punch unless it was on accident. After I mastered that I was like... I can't be beat.
Then even though I didn't beat it 100%... I did beat GTA3 Then there was when I beat Underground after that... meh |
X Men 6 player >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> X Men 4 player
|
Oh, I did the downhill run in Cool Boarders 2 as Yaggi and got like a 39.4/40
|
Cool Boarders 2 was amazing. First thing I played on the PS1 was that demo.
|
Smackdown: Here Comes the Pain. My friend and I had an EPIC three stages of hell match, which last over an hour legit. Brock Lesnar (me) vs Bill Goldberg (him). End came via two consecutive F5s I believe. LONG, LONG, LONG match.
|
Beating Goldeneye on 00 Agent.
|
How come no one has posted the "When I beat Zelda OoT on March 15th, 2001", or whatever it was post yet.
|
January 23, 1997 :shifty:
|
Killing 104,593 Zombies in a single playthru on Dead Rising.
|
I dunno. I don't have a moment I am/was proud of.
I guess beating two of my cousin's level 100 Mewtwos with one Abra back when I was eleven probably is something. Meh. |
Missingno 4ever
|
Going through hell to get to Mike Tyson on Punch Out and beat him the 3rd try.
|
of course, my first Hadouken
Finishing my first song on Expert on GH3 Beating the original Metal Gear Solid on PS1 winning the Master League on PES 2008 with a mishit cross in the 88th minute. Quite sure I needed a new controller after slamming it on the bed in celebration. |

|
Oh of course. Like 6 years old, casting Cure on the final boss in Final Fantasy Mystic Quest with my brother and it doing a ridiculous amount of damage and it killing him. Then vomiting on the couch
|
Beating Legacy of the Wizard (old NES game that not a lot of people know about) in one sitting. God that shit was hard.
Winning the Super Bowl on All-Madden. Being crowned Madden Champion of my freshman dorm. Not losing to anyone in WWF No Mercy or WM2000 ever. Being rated higher than John Cena in SvR 2008. Beating the original Castlevania when I was like, 8. That's all I can think of for now. I'm sure I'll come up with more. |
I was happy when I did my first Hadouken in SF2... I FUCKING CRIED the first time I busted out the Shoryuken on command. Pure joy.
10 straight hours of playing the Tick on SNES and still not finishing that fucking game. First time I won a 3 way dance between me and my brothers in Smash Bros Melee. Shit, they were both pretty unbeatable for the longest time. Being the king of the 3 way dance in WCW vs nWo: World Tour/WCW vs nWo: Revenge/WM2000/No Mercy. Busting a Swanton Bomb special off a ladder through a table in 1 particular match in No Mercy. God so many awesome memories. |
I beat Tyson in 2 rounds.
|
I beat a 3 vs 1 on Attitude against 3 of my friends. They said that is the only way it'll be fair. I was the king of wrestling video games back then.
|
Beating twenty five straight in Killer Instinct at arcade.
Not Losing a round in Tekken 2 tourney at arcade Beating every single guy in my dorm in madden 2002. |

Mega Man 2 nine times
|
Mega Man 2 ten times, new best time 49 minutes

video games are so easy, the only time i ever felt proud i guess was when i was 12 and got all 150 pokemon in my pokedex without cheating (no missingno, no gameshark, nothing, all legit)
well if you want to count world of warcraft, my guild has taken care of some tough boss encounters, and that always feels good |
Doing a ten hit combo in a match with Jin in Tekken Tag for the win.

7 Day Survivor in Dead Rising.

Winning an epic Sudden Death battle between Argentina (me) and Holland (my friend) in FIFA 94. The match was set for 4:00. It went on for 21:00. That was a fantastic day.

Mega Man 2 eleven times; new best time 45 minutes

There were places you could go to get it (stores and special events and such) if I recall correctly.

Anyways, one other thing. I went through Zelda: OOT with only 3 hearts and didnt get the half damage power-up outside the castle either and didnt take damage the whole game. That is hard to believe I know, but no way to prove it so take my word for it. |
well I got mew traded to my game from someone who had a gameshark but that was after i got 150... so i got 151 not legimately, but 150 legitmately, which is still considered a complete pokedex according to Prof. Oak's PC >.>
I didnt know about the whole mew glitch back then. There's no legit way to get mew besides special events, which I think canada didn't have. |
Did you have Yellow version cause I'm pretty sure you can catch all the pokemon in that one so it's easier. except the ones you have to trade for still apply.
|
Quote:
Took about a week since I got it on a sunday and I had school all week. |
Anything beyond pokemon yellow does not exist to me. I'm not really too fond of yellow though
|
got the Left 4 Dead Zombie Genocidest achievement on saturday. i was very proud.
|
Getting the x40 Stunt Multiplier on Burnout Paradise for the 2nd time last night. I had it before but I deleted my saved game and started over forgetting just how fustrating this particular award was to get. Took me about twenty attempts of constantly restarting from the same stunt run, doing a few jumps nearby then jumping through the quarry. Finally managed to finish it with a total multiplier of x50 and a score of around 7million.
Other achievements, on the first God Of War managing to do all of the Challenges Of The Gods solely just to get the Kratos Cow outfit. Completing THPS3 on the PS2 back in the day 100% with every skater. That was something I was really proud of. After the series went to the free roaming style I just completely went off the series though. |

Oh, and the first time we played Rock Band as a full band is definitely a moment worth mentioning. That game is seriously one of the best things put together. Four player (offline) Rock Band joins 16plyr Halo LAN parties and fighting game sessions on my list of Things Gamers Need To Do Together. Truly awesome.
|
Only got a couple:
Me and my mate beating the entire Streets of Rage almost totally unscathed (took like 3 hits altogether), and doing some excellent song on stepmania that I can't even remember but it was an awesome moment. |
49-47 score on Halo 3, my team is down. Three of the guys on the other team try to be funny and get into a Warthog and go for the kill. I jump out of the way and stick the driver with a plasma grenade as one of my teammates sticks the other side of the jeep. They drive into a wall and explode, killing all three of them, winning us the game.
That was yesterday. |
Yeah, we've had 49-50 wins. That shit is too much for my heart.
|
beat ninja gaiden on xbox on hard dificulty
|
Mile High Club in CoD4 :(
|
Triple headshot on RTCW online demo, I used to play it so often and we were doing a ten on ten team sniping match, shot one guy and somehow (Game glitch?) killed two behind him, totally insane. Didnt see it myself someone else clued me in, along with the three who got hit lol.
Rugby 2008 on hardest difficulty full 80 minute game, down 6 nil like 5 minutes to go in a World Cup final against Australia and break out from behind my own try line with Smith to Nonu who busts then out to Mills who runs 90 odd meters to score just inside the field of play. Then hit the uprights and lost the game. Quite a few cool moves in SD vs. Raw games to but none really spring to mind atm. |
Playing a 16 on 16 game of Unreal Tournament, with all players using rippers.
Playing UT and due to insane improbabilty, my buddy and I both headshotted the same person at the same time and both got credited for the kill. The end game scores showed us basically as Me 1 kill Buddy 1 kill dead dude 1 death laughed about that for awhile :p |
|
^ That was versus 16 skilled bots, lasted a bit over 2 hours.
|
Final Fantasy 8- Not having one final weapon for a character, one final limit break for any character and all characters being under level 50. The entire 5 boss battle of Ultemecia took me 2 hours and 15 minutes to complete
|
Beating Seth.
|

|
Scoring 100 points in a game with Ben McCauley in NCAA 05 or 06

Call of Duty 4: Sniper rifle no-scope head shot on this guy who jumped out of a 2nd story window while he was in mid air, while I was prone
|
Call of Duty 4: Killing the smart arse who hits you with a stun grenade whilst you can hardly see shit.
|
Call of Duty 4: 20+ kills in Hardcore S&D matches.
|
Call of Duty 4: Owning levels higher than me and saying I learned my skills in Halo 3.
|
Super Mario Bros (The lost levels) speedrun in 12:42
Not crying when Aerith got killed in FF7 (...Joke :shifty: ) I think that's about it. Done some pretty incredible things in various driving games though. |
Destroying some guys girlfriend in Soul Calibur 2 (Arcade). No mercy.
|
Quote:
And on Timesplitters I set the kill limit to something ridiculously high and set points to 'Kills and losses' (One kill gains a point, if you get killed you lose a point). I think it was something like 500 points and lasted for about 4 hours of just insane warfare |
Playing this Super Smash Brothers on the Wii right. This one challenge "defeat 5 enemies in cruel brawl." So everyone's trying that and it's crazy hard, usually can't even kill more than 2. So I'm like aright here and I get the controller. I choose Kirby cos I thought I had a pretty good strategy. I was just flying up and then coming down as a block and trying to knock the computers out. It was working pretty well, until I got 4 enemies down and I am off the edge of the stage and trying to fly black over it, and I realize that they're all gonna jump and kick me out really soon so at the last possible second when I was so close to being over the ground I did the down B move again and hit somebody in mid air and they went flying off the screen miliseconds before I plummeted to my death and I got the 5 kills. Everyone jumpin and freaking out
|
Beating Mega Man X when it first came out
Playing WCW Revenge Tournament, beat a gauntlet of Sting, Nash, Bischoff, Poppa Pump, and Hall with Jericho. Made Nash Tap to the Liontamer, Greatest funking wrestling game ever :'( |
Play the DOR games with my friends and actually winning.
Man, every week we'd get together and play the shit out of that game. Loved the arcade feel of it. Usually this one friend always played the star at the time, or the highest rated character, ex: Angle, Batista, Rock. So, naturally, he'd cheat to win. And my other friend, who is an expert gamer and often won, would be Stone Cold or Paul London (yeah, I know). Usually, I'm Y2J or Benoit, so I lose all the time. But when I won my first match, a ladder match, damn. They were like "Um, shut off the game, we gotta go." I was all :D ! Other than that, those times playing the game were so much fun. Another time was seeing Stone Cold stunner one of us and the CPU Flair who was MILES away, manage to get hit by its recoil and knock himself out of the ring. We were like "Yo, this game's too wacky!" Too much fun. |
my most recent brilliant moment was when i beat my brother at fifa 08 2 days ago. utd vs chelsea, it had been a pretty tight made and was heading into injury time at 3-3, when i threaded a beautiful ball to tevez who fought off the evidently faster chelsea defender at his back and slotted it home. i ran around the room celebrating like a loon.
other than that, i think beating super punch out eventually was pretty awesome for me, and beating it with no defeats was another great moment. absolutely dicked streets of rage 2 on hard without losing any lives either. other than that me and my brother have had some epic no mercy tko matches, with our fighters getting up well beyond you could reasonably expect them to. |
Played Street Fighter 4 with my older brother for the first time in years. He taught me how to play SF2 on the SNES and I had this feeling of full circle. He was rusty, but his grasp of the basics made for interesting cross-chronological clash of styles.
He's unusually effective against Vega, one of my dangerous ones. |
Being the best to do it ever in TPWWs arcade.
Winning a 30 or 40 man Rumble in WCW Revenge from the starting position as Alex Wright against my Brother |
