Dance music is a sweeping generalisation. House and commercial trance are very big in the gay community, but Drum n Bass, Rave, Hardcore, Speedcore etc. really isn't.

I can definately agree on the seemingly gayness in 80's hair bands. Twisted Sister was one of the first music vids I saw as a youngster and I recall being very confused. Bunch of ugly girls that sound like guys, or a bunch of guys that want to be really ugly girls and still sound like guys. My mother said "It's their culture."

Needless to say, I stopped watching metal vids for awhile.
