Formula 1 2009

I was just wondering if anyone had any idea on the teams involved in this years championship and what the drivers lineup were for those teams. Would look it up myself, but the Internet ot the location i am using it from has blocked access to F1

#BROKEN Hasney 03-25-2009 04:55 PM

The following teams are signed with Formula One Management and make up the Formula One Teams Association:

I cannot wait for this season for all the rule changes either. Brawn have been fastest in testing and the McLaren is well slow. Gonna be a fucked up season fo sho :D

CSL 03-25-2009 05:05 PM

THE CHAIN

WestNZ 03-25-2009 06:47 PM

thanks for that man, and it good to see a kiwi in the mix, even if he is only a test driver. GO BRENDAN

#BROKEN Hasney 03-25-2009 06:52 PM

Yeah, he's apparantly pretty damn good for only 19 as well. Coulthard is the reserve driver for Red Bull/Torro Rosso only for the first 2 races as Hartley was unable to get his superlicense on time.

CSL 03-25-2009 06:56 PM

Suprised Vettel is still @ Red Bull. Even more suprised that Pedro De La Rosa and Luca Badoer are still alive

Mooияakeя™ 03-25-2009 07:50 PM

How are you surprised? He has only just signed for them!

CSL 03-25-2009 08:08 PM

lol true story. Toro Rosso/Red Bull, my brain didn't distinguish the difference between the 2

Rob 03-25-2009 08:29 PM

Thank God they canned the rule change regarding the championship winner being decided by most wins.

Mooияakeя™ 03-25-2009 08:29 PM

I think I'm gonna go to Silverstone. Last one and all. I might get a camper van and just live in that for the weekend.

Mooияakeя™ 03-26-2009 03:01 PM

I called this one on another forum a few weeks back.

http://en.f1-live.com/f1/en/headline...26164223.shtml

Good cos I feel these make a good partnership together.

All my prophecies are coming true. Now to put a tenner on Button winning the Aussie GP.....

#BROKEN Hasney 03-27-2009 08:17 PM

alarm set for 4.30 am. CANNOT WAIT.

Downunder 03-28-2009 12:38 AM

F1 is pretty much the only motorsport i won't watch.

Boring as bat shit.

Tornado 03-28-2009 04:18 AM

Qualifying was pretty awesome today. McLaren need to sort it out, just hope this whole diffuser row doesn't take anything away from the first few races.

Downunder 03-28-2009 06:07 AM

Hamilton is a twat.

but then so are 90% of F1 drivers, emotionless robots with no minds of their own.

Watch the support races and then go to the pub.

Agreed, here's hoping they don't ditch the colour scheme!

Best thing is, Brawn are meant to have awesome race pace too. Most of their testing was long stints 70+ laps.

Tornado 03-28-2009 03:30 PM

LOL, the Brawn GP car was the heaviest of the top 10. They're in a league of their own!

Cactus Sid 03-28-2009 07:05 PM

Almost shed a tear hearing The Chain this morning, full Grand Prix's uninterrupted, no James Allan, everything looking a lot closer this year (besides Brawn walking away with it, but F1 politics will stop that in a hurry).

Will be interesting to see just how reliable those Brawn's are tomorrow, whatever happens, its going to be a great race, will be intriguing how much KERS impacts on the starts of the Ferrari's.

They're gaining on Button :(

Impeccable 03-29-2009 04:28 AM

It's different, that's for sure. I'm used to Ferrari and McLaren domination. Kubica is storming through.

The Brawn cars are amazing...Barichello just put Rosberg under some pressure and just outpaced him into 4th.

CSL 03-29-2009 04:32 AM

lol Kubica and Vettel

Impeccable 03-29-2009 04:33 AM

Wow Vettel and Kubica....just handed the GP 1 and 2 to Brawn. Looks like it'll give Hamilton 3rd.

#BROKEN Hasney 03-29-2009 04:33 AM

LOL at Vettel and Kubica. I like Vettel though :(. Brawn 1 & 2.

Hamilton is going to get a podium, Jammy bastard.

Impeccable 03-29-2009 04:36 AM

Ah, Trulli is going to claim third.

#BROKEN Hasney 03-29-2009 04:36 AM

Eh, Truili is in 3rd now

Impeccable 03-29-2009 04:40 AM

Hamilton has still got to be pleased with that. Fourth place (looks like he had to surrender third place back to Trulli as he passed him just after safety car deployed).

#BROKEN Hasney 03-29-2009 04:48 AM

I hope to fuck Rubens remembered to put his steering wheel back in or he's DQ'd. He looked like they forgot.

Oh and don't worry about Hamilton Impeccable, no matter where he finishes he'll still enjoy the smell of his own farts and rimjobs from his dad :)

Not too keen on Lewis tbf

Excited for Jenson though!

#BROKEN Hasney 03-29-2009 05:20 AM

The Trulli/Hamilton position is under dispute.

Impeccable 03-29-2009 07:39 AM

Trulli was given 25 second penalty after the race, now Hamilton moves up to third.

Lucky lucky lucky swine.

Cactus Sid 03-29-2009 09:42 AM

I could be completely wrong, and I'm watching the rerun now, but I thought Hamilton never went past Trulli, Trulli overtook Rosberg first, then Hamilton did.

Ah well, will find out in about 40 laps, amazing race though, ITV must be completely kicking themselves, gutted about Vettel and Kubica, my 2 favourite drivers taking each other off....ah well, they've got a lot to be pleased about, no KERS, no questions about the diffuser, no one expected them to be as quick as they were, those 2 are just awesome drivers.

Cactus Sid 03-29-2009 10:51 AM

I'm watching it again and I still can't figure it out

There was one point where I saw that Hamilton was ahead of a Toyota, but Glock finished 5th so it could well of been him, they didn't show or mention Hamilton passing Trulli, and Hamilton was a good second at least behind Trulli after he past Rosberg, so I'm really confused by it.

The amazing thing is, in 2 and a half weeks, Hamilton might win that race.

WestNZ 03-29-2009 05:07 PM

so what was the result. missed the race with work

WestNZ 03-29-2009 05:09 PM

forget last post. just got results emailed to me, good to see first time team win on debut. and good to see button on top after a long absence from the top spot.

Trulli went onto the grass at a corner that wasn't picked up by the cameras, Hamilton went past Trulli into 3rd, then believed he had to surrender the posistion back as you're not allowed to overtake under the Safety Car (and we all know how much the FIA like to jump on Hamiltons mistakes), so Hamiltion slowed to let Trulli back into 3rd. It states in the rules that you may overtake under the safety car if the car being overtaken leaves the track, or has a problem, so Lewis was entitled to 3rd, and Trulli shouldn't have re-overtaked Hamilton.

Nice one...cheers for clearing that up.

Awesome race. I was going to back Prodrive if that would of happened, cos I've always been between Honda and McLaren (Williams when they had Rothmans sponsorship). So now I'm going for Brawn. It's like a continuation of my Honda days anyway and damn is that Neon Greeny/yellow colour scheme class (Hopes they keep it too!).

Apparantly there's more teams to come next year too.... Bernie Boy said like 3 or 4. Which means prob 2 at the most.

it was an awesome race, dad sent me copy of it yesterday. do have to say though that the new wing design make the cars look weird

LOL

WestNZ 03-31-2009 04:23 PM

even one new team next year would be good, that would see numbers back to 11, where it was when i first started watchint F1. but then again, 4 new teams would be great. make it alot harder to win races and get points.

Mooияakeя™ 04-01-2009 08:20 PM

Cosworth had an awesome V8 engine. and with all that talk about standard engines (boooo), I don't see why they dont offer it with full tech support to an F1 team. The benefits would be amazing.

...AND PLEASE... MORE INDEPENDANT TEAMS! - Brawn is like a FULL ON INDEPENDANT like Williams. Not a customer chassis team or a B team. THEY BUILD THEIR OWN!!! Awesome stuff!

#BROKEN Hasney 04-02-2009 06:32 AM

Hamilton disqualified, Trulli back in 3rd. McLaren and Hamilton gave misleading evidence on purpose, apparantly.

I don't like Hamilton, but it seems a little harsh. Someone at the FIA doesn't like him.

McLaren have guided him for 12 years. Advising him on everything. We're not in that position, but tbh, I can see why he would trust someone who "knows the rulebook inside out" and has been at that team more than double the time he has been associated with them. 12 years is something, 25 is immense.

I don't condone all this shit, but it should be dealt with now. The embarrassment of the team has shown already how stupid u can look and that there is nowhere to hide from F1 cameras.

Awesome ain't it?

But watch those KERS cars go tomorrow.

p.s. Bets on Vettel are decent. 16/1. Easy worth a fiver.

#BROKEN Hasney 04-04-2009 01:23 PM

Vettel starting on 13th is not worth a fiver. If he started in 3rd, yeah.

Nothings gonna touch Buton though.

Like Trulli starting from the pitlane wasn't worth 35/1 for a podium last time round?

#BROKEN Hasney 04-04-2009 02:17 PM

Oh, are they the odds for a podium and not a win? If so, yeah, worth a fiver :). He just won't win it.

Impeccable 04-05-2009 06:37 AM

Button is flying again...weather doesn't look like it will hold much longer.

Impeccable 04-05-2009 06:48 AM

Webber is having a good grand prix, and Glock and Toyota have stayed on intermmediates as a gamble that the rain won't start until later...paying off at the moment

#BROKEN Hasney 04-05-2009 06:51 AM

Yeah, shit start but a great recovery. These Red Bulls look awesome is the wets. Glock is is on intermediates and flying. I love it when the weather is not how the teams predicted :)

#BROKEN Hasney 04-05-2009 06:51 AM

Barrichello has taken Trulli and Rosberg :D

#BROKEN Hasney 04-05-2009 06:53 AM

And now he's just gone off :( kept position though. Buttons over 20 seconds ahead of Barrichello!

#BROKEN Hasney 04-05-2009 06:58 AM

LOL, lightning hitting the buildings now!

#BROKEN Hasney 04-05-2009 07:00 AM

vettels off. Sorry moonraker

#BROKEN Hasney 04-05-2009 07:03 AM

Red flag :(

Downunder 04-05-2009 07:22 AM

Yeah, it's raining like a mofo.

#BROKEN Hasney 04-05-2009 07:41 AM

Going to restart at some point under safety car apparantly. They stopped the race clock which is against the rules. This is mental.

#BROKEN Hasney 04-05-2009 07:51 AM

Nah, not gonna happen.

Tornado 04-05-2009 08:46 AM

That was some fucking rain. Was the right decision to abort the race, I wouldn't walk around a track in those conditions, let alone drive.
Don't know what the fuck Ferrari are playing at, is their strategist fucking mental?
If Bernie wan't so concerned about TV Audiences we could have a had a full race. I'd have happily got up 1 or 2 hours earlier if it meant we got a full race.

Wonder what reason the FIA will use to deduct Lewis his points this time?

#BROKEN Hasney 04-05-2009 09:06 AM

Hopefully they deduct his point for being a douchebag and come out and say that is the reason.

I actually had 14/1 @ Rosberg winning. Sorta was loving it at one point. Being a Button fan (Still have my signed 2005 Honda shirt and 2006 cap!! - No bandwagon hopping here... true fan etc.) it was hard to go against it, but at 5/6, business is business, i did what i had to. lol.

Aweomse result, meh bout the race. HALF POINTS!!!! It's just so fucking 70's! :)

#BROKEN Hasney 04-05-2009 04:37 PM

Yeah, always loved Honda because their base was like 15 mins from my house :D

Mooияakeя™ 04-05-2009 05:11 PM

Don't u live near there no more?

#BROKEN Hasney 04-05-2009 05:26 PM

Nah, moved to Leeds

Mooияakeя™ 04-05-2009 05:34 PM

Ouch. Apologies mate.

Mooияakeя™ 04-15-2009 06:43 AM

Oh yeah, fucking around apart, diffuser row is over. It's legal.

#BROKEN Hasney 04-18-2009 04:04 AM

That Q3 was crazy. Vettell on pole and Alonso pulls 2nd out of his arse from somewhere.

Cactus Sid 04-18-2009 12:44 PM

He's got like 9 laps of fuel in the car, he and Vettel are going to need massive leads over the Brawns before they come in.

I'm intrigued why the media seems to think the Mclaren's are in better shape when they've both qualified in the same positions they've been qualifying in the first 2 races....

#BROKEN Hasney 04-18-2009 12:46 PM

The media just seem to think that if you slap a diffuser on, you're winning.

I just wish they would get their collective mouths off the McLaren/Hamilton cock

Mooияakeя™ 04-18-2009 03:08 PM

so anyone betting this one?

These are the best odds out there based on genuine possible winners.

R Barrichello 7/2
F Alonso 8/1
M Webber 8/1
J Trulli 14/1

#BROKEN Hasney 04-18-2009 06:55 PM

I have no money right now, I'll be betting next week instead.

#BROKEN Hasney 04-18-2009 06:56 PM

IF I DID THOUGH I would maybe look at Buton. What's he priced at?

Mooияakeя™ 04-18-2009 07:02 PM

5/2

I'm seriously thinking of going with Alonso, but having said that I might cover it with Vettel himself at 11/4

Mooияakeя™ 04-18-2009 07:03 PM

Might also have a sly £1 on Rosberg @ 25/1. would set my betting up for the rest of the season.

All it needs is a safety car and a good start / retirements.

Tornado 04-18-2009 07:07 PM

Vettel, Alonso and Webber are running a good 20kg lighter that the rest of the top 10, so they're going to have to pit quite early, I don't really see then gaining a significant enough lead to stay ahead. I think Button has a very good chance of making it 3 out of 3 as he should be able to do a long first stint and pit when the field has spread out.
25/1 on Rosberg is not a bad bet, quite tempting.

#BROKEN Hasney 04-19-2009 03:34 AM

I could see what Red Bull and Renault were doing, could have worked doing only a few laps on the supersofts then changing over. Now it's wet, that strategey is fucked.

#BROKEN Hasney 04-19-2009 03:55 AM

Safety car start. That's going to destroy those 2 now.

Londoner 04-19-2009 04:10 AM

I hate safety car starts...

Mooияakeя™ 04-19-2009 01:27 PM

I like Vettel, but firmly believe Sutil is unlucky. Yes, I know he twitched this time round, but how many saves others made, and the place it happened to him...

I feel Sutil, deserves a good run in a car. Piquet however is fucking shit. Sakamoto anyone? Closest thing we've had in years. Swap these two around and I bet Sutil delivers more points in the remaining races, than the 19₧ Piquet got last season.

Tornado 04-19-2009 02:24 PM

Renault employ Piquet to be slower than Alonso, which he is extremely good at.

Mooияakeя™ 04-19-2009 02:37 PM

U know, I think I could probably agree with u on that.

BTW, that avatar, it looks like Bandwagon jumping. But I will not think this any more after this post.

I've been a RBR supporter since their inception.
