Hall of Fame Ceremony, 4/4

On in a few minutes. What're the odds we see anybody's speeches except Austin?

Xero 04-04-2009 09:48 PM

I'm assuming we're going to get The Funks, Steamboat and Austin. If there's time possibly Fink (since it should be relatively short).

Xerzes 04-04-2009 10:00 PM

Aaand we're on.

The Gold Standard 04-04-2009 10:01 PM

I saw the other ones. Screech and I were streaming them during our show

Xero 04-04-2009 10:02 PM

Who did they show on WWE.com?

The Gold Standard 04-04-2009 10:03 PM

does anyone else feel bad for the other hall of famers not getting on tv

The Gold Standard 04-04-2009 10:03 PM

everyone but Austin and Steamboat

Zeeboe 04-04-2009 10:04 PM

I haven't watched wrestling in a while....that Todd guy sucks.....Jerry Lawler, now he's cool. I'm reading his book right now......Ric Flair, another cool one. I hope the show is mostly overall about the legends, and they keep the little boys like Todd Grassass or whatever his name is off the show.....wow, Shane McMahon looks old....haha, Triple H looks like he's on PMS......Steph still looks hot.....Ricky Steamboat....I watched him at a house show once when they had him actually dressed as a dragon. Good times.....Randy Savage.....I wish they'd put him in the HOF....Flair and Steamboat....classic match.

Xerzes 04-04-2009 10:05 PM

Flair, escorted by some hooker. Good for him.

Stealth-Icon 04-04-2009 10:05 PM

wwwwwoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Xerzes 04-04-2009 10:06 PM

Huh. Savage being mentioned again, and having it acknowledged that he was in one of the greatest matches ever.

Xerzes 04-04-2009 10:13 PM

There is totally a noose in the ring with Ali. What the shit?

Zeeboe 04-04-2009 10:16 PM

Holy cow, Ron Simmons looks old....man, a lot of them do. It has been a while since I watched wrestling. (Almost a year to be exact, but a REALLY long time since I've seen the old lions.)

Anyhow, I hope HTM will be on soon.

Xerzes 04-04-2009 10:16 PM

Ric Flair thinks the Von Erichs loved ring rats. I'm pretty sure he'd know.

Zeeboe 04-04-2009 10:18 PM

No disrespect intended.....but come on Ric, get to it.....okay, thank you....

Stealth-Icon 04-04-2009 10:18 PM

WOW kelly kelly

Stealth-Icon 04-04-2009 10:19 PM

What....another commercial

FourFifty 04-04-2009 10:19 PM

DDP was in the house tonight.

Zeeboe 04-04-2009 10:19 PM

Another commerical? Man, this show runs slower then the Oscars.

The Gold Standard 04-04-2009 10:20 PM

These commercials are ridiculous

Xerzes 04-04-2009 10:23 PM

So who's inducting "too many commercials" into the hall of fame?

Zeeboe 04-04-2009 10:24 PM

Whoa, Sgt. Slaughter is bald.....dang.

Loose Cannon 04-04-2009 10:27 PM

did they just make Steamboat blow HHH there?

Stealth-Icon 04-04-2009 10:28 PM

lol

Loose Cannon 04-04-2009 10:28 PM

lol I love how they go kayfabe all of a sudden

screech 04-04-2009 10:31 PM

YAY! More video packages!

The Gold Standard 04-04-2009 10:31 PM

I love the Taker HBK video packages though

screech 04-04-2009 10:35 PM

Yeah they are awesome. But I can only watch them so many times in 48 hours.

screech 04-04-2009 10:37 PM

What a preview.

Loose Cannon 04-04-2009 10:37 PM

WTF was that? they didn't even show a finish

Stealth-Icon 04-04-2009 10:38 PM

foreshadowing of tomorrow. 16-0-1

Loose Cannon 04-04-2009 10:38 PM

how to stall 101 right here

Loose Cannon 04-04-2009 10:40 PM

No Chance in Hell makes me mark out every time

shadowfoxrz 04-04-2009 10:40 PM

Stealth-Icon 04-04-2009 10:40 PM

Oh, this seems like a good spot for another commercial

screech 04-04-2009 10:40 PM

This is ridiculous

Zeeboe 04-04-2009 10:42 PM

My gosh, they are showing a lot of commericals!

shadowfoxrz 04-04-2009 10:44 PM

They could be moving a little fast. Ooooooooooooorrr USA needs the MONAAAAAAAYYYY :shifty:

Zeeboe 04-04-2009 10:44 PM

Mickey Rourke! Nice. I can't wait for The Wrestler come out on blu-ray, and watch that baby again.

Stealth-Icon 04-04-2009 10:46 PM

Stephanie looking very hot again!!

Loose Cannon 04-04-2009 10:46 PM

ugh, the WHAT chants.

screech 04-04-2009 10:47 PM

BAH GAWD

shadowfoxrz 04-04-2009 10:47 PM

Number 1 on the 10 commandments of Stone Cold Steve Austin is............

1) If it can be driven with a license.... Drive it to the ring :shifty:

Stealth-Icon 04-04-2009 10:48 PM

great song. Cult of personality

shadowfoxrz 04-04-2009 10:48 PM

I LOVE THIS PROMO......CULT OF PERSONALITY.......SWEEEEEEEEEET :D:D

Stealth-Icon 04-04-2009 10:49 PM

i bet we go to a commercial before he speaks

Zeeboe 04-04-2009 10:49 PM

Ahh, Stone Cold Steve Austin....wow. My gosh, I hated him so much back in 97' when he feuded with Bret Hart. lol. But man, those were some fun days for me. I loved the feud he had with the Hitman. Austin was I think my favorite heel to hate, but then I ended up becoming a fan of his.

He deserves to be in the HOF, no doubt....

STUPID COMMERCIALS! JESUS!.......Legends of Wrestlemania....I wish I could play that....sucks it ain't out on PS2.....hey, Ozzy....I'm glad he's still around.

Stealth-Icon 04-04-2009 10:50 PM

oh what a shock!

shadowfoxrz 04-04-2009 10:50 PM

What do you know................more commercials :nono:

screech 04-04-2009 10:51 PM

These are such weird commercials, too (to have during WWE).

Zeeboe 04-04-2009 10:55 PM

Austin still looks great. Damn shame he had to retire, and hell, in the wrestling business, he retired really young.

screech 04-04-2009 10:55 PM

STONE COLD! STONE COLD! STONE COLD!

Xerzes 04-04-2009 10:55 PM

Huh. Goatee grew back already.

Stealth-Icon 04-04-2009 10:55 PM

OOOOOOOhhhhhhh Kelly kelly again.....I love when her puppies jiggle.

Loose Cannon 04-04-2009 10:56 PM

kind of odd watchng him in a formal setting like this. like I expected him to come out in jean shorts and a tee

mike adamle 04-04-2009 10:56 PM

Juan 04-04-2009 11:01 PM

ONE MORE MATCH

Zeeboe 04-04-2009 11:02 PM

Austin makes me proud to be a Texan. I grew up in a small town, and met a lot of rednecks like him. lol. Austin did a great a job of representing the Lone Star State.

Stealth-Icon 04-04-2009 11:02 PM

it will be next year at WM 26 against George Zimmer....founder of Men's Warehouse

Austin was the epitamy(spelling?bad i know :) ) of my upbringing with WWF/WWE

screech 04-04-2009 11:03 PM

YES!!!

Triple Naitch 04-04-2009 11:04 PM

Aww...he totally won't be able to return that suit now.

Zeeboe 04-04-2009 11:04 PM

I'd to see one more Stone Cold match, especially if it was against Hogan.

Anyhow, sucks Austin is pretty much ignoring the crowd's request.....and really, he's been away from wrestling for a while, and trying to get into the movies business, with respect. So nothing new in regards of that.

I really wish Stone Cold would wrestle one more time, but I doubt he wants to end up in a wheelchair for the rest of his life.

shadowfoxrz 04-04-2009 11:04 PM

They should have let him read some of his speech, i would have loved to of heard it......DAMN THOSE COMMERCIALS!!!!!

Loose Cannon 04-04-2009 11:04 PM

STUNNER TO KELLY KELLY!!!

Stealth-Icon 04-04-2009 11:04 PM

Kelly kelly for the third time...what a night.

Loose Cannon 04-04-2009 11:05 PM

STUNNER TO THE CONFETTI

screech 04-04-2009 11:05 PM

Sharing a Steve-weiser = passing the torch?

Xerzes 04-04-2009 11:05 PM

Sharing a beer with the beer-throwing guy. Good stuff.

Zeeboe 04-04-2009 11:05 PM

That's it? Damn. I was hoping to see HTM induct Koko B. Ware.....guess I'll have to watch that later on you tube or wwe.com.

Pretty crappy show overall I have to say. Too many damn commericals.

That's what I thought. We may not like it, but Steve has just passed the torch to John Cena

Zeeboe 04-04-2009 11:07 PM

What's this weird movie on USA now?....ahhh, The Scorpion King....yeah....*changes channel*

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo :(

Xerzes 04-04-2009 11:08 PM

Wait, that was Cena? Damnit.

Zeeboe 04-04-2009 11:10 PM

John Cena sucks. He's one of the reasons why I don't watch the WEEEE now.....I pity the kids and teens of today....especially since they actually think Cena is cool.

Cena is crap, and so is his gimmick.

shadowfoxrz 04-04-2009 11:10 PM

Im calling it a night......I hope Mania goes well............GO HBK! :D

shadowfoxrz 04-04-2009 11:12 PM

The first inductie to the Class Of 2010.................................MANTAUR :shifty:

That's a pretty narrow minded way to look at it. Back when I was a kid, Hogan was the coolest thing ever.

Jeritron 04-04-2009 11:15 PM

I'm sure there are older people who grew up Billy Graham, or Flair marks and said the same thing about Austin.

Not saying Cena is in that class, but these sentiments seem to be generational.

Hogan was cool though. He still is. :) Why I think that you may ask? Well, for starters, he was a white man who actually acted like a white man. Second, he was a good role model unlike Cena he makes it seem like being a gangsta is a good thing.

Yeah, maybe that is a sign of me getting old. Heck, I work with pre-teens and teens sometimes, and they tell me that they think Korn is old, and I remember when I was at that age, and Korn was like the band.

Same goes for Shaq of the NBA. He was the man way back when, now all these kids think he's old. Heck, I recall when he first joined the NBA and was just a rookie.

Yes, indeed, I am getting older. *drinks to that*

Good-night fellas.

FourFifty 04-05-2009 12:12 AM

Is there a stream or a youtube of the Hall of Fame yet?

Corndad 04-05-2009 12:39 AM

I try to not judge until I've seen the full uncut ceremony on the Mania DVD and I know it may have been the constant commercials but it just kinda underwhelmed me this year. I didn't get to see the ones on the Website so will hold my thoughts on them but the way edited together for the hour length really doesn't do it justice.

FourFifty 04-05-2009 12:44 AM

Uncut? Nope, it'll be edited. Dory Funk Jr. dropped the F bomb (said WWF) and talked about WM26.

James Steele 04-05-2009 12:51 AM

http://www.wwe.com/shows/wrestlemani...?cid=2009EP-00

They have clips and the video packages up at the above link.
