Official WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 Thread

<font color=goldenrod>Hasn't been officially announced yet, but it's WM weekend so this is usually when the thread starts.

Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions for the next SD game?

I thought SVR09 was pretty solid overall...hoping they don't completely regress for the next game unless they plan on totally rebuilding the game engine (which they won't).</font>

Kalyx triaD 04-05-2009 11:44 AM

In all honesty the wishlist from last year pretty much still applies.

Evil Vito 04-05-2009 11:51 AM

<font color=goldenrod>Also, time to do my annual WM roster prediction that I do every year. I'll go with a roster of 60 (including divas)...and assume they will continue to omit Legends:

1. Batista
2. Beth Phoenix
3. The Big Show
4. The Brian Kendrick
5. Brie Bella
6. Carlito
7. Charlie Haas
8. Chavo Guerrero
9. Chris Jericho
10. Christian
11. CM Punk
12. Cody Rhodes
13. Edge
14. Evan Bourne
15. Ezekiel Jackson
16. Festus
17. Finlay
18. Gail Kim
19. The Great Khali
20. Hurricane Helms
21. Jack Swagger
22. JBL
23. Jeff Hardy
24. Jesse
25. Jimmy Wang Yang
26. John Cena
27. John Morrison
28. JTG
29. Kane
30. Kelly Kelly
31. Kofi Kingston
32. Maria
33. Mark Henry
34. Maryse
35. Matt Hardy
36. Melina
37. Michelle McCool
38. Mickie James
39. Mike Knox
40. The Miz
41. Mr. Kennedy
42. Mr. McMahon
43. MVP
44. Nikki Bella
45. Primo
46. Randy Orton
47. Rey Mysterio
48. R-Truth
49. Santino Marella
50. Shad
51. Shane McMahon
52. Shawn Michaels
53. Shelton Benjamin
54. Ted DiBiase
55. Tommy Dreamer
56. Triple H
57. Umaga
58. The Undertaker
59. Vladimir Kozlov
60. William Regal

-----

10 divas, just one less from last year...Gail Kim might be a bit of a stretch so if she doesn't make it I could sooner see her spot going to Candice or Layla (since their models are there from last year).

A decent amount of tag teams, figuring they want to continue pushing that revised tag match (hence why Zeke is a playable character)...the only active tag team I've omitted is Hawkins & Ryder since they haven't had a match in ages.

When filling out the remaining jobber slots, I REALLY wanted to finally get Jamie Noble into his first SD game, but I could see them getting lazy and picking Charlie Haas and Jimmy Wang Yang solely due to them already being in the game from last year and it's no secret they reuse models on occasion.

I have no life.</font> :(

Explain to me the idea of 'roster predictions'. They aren't roster wishlists so I always thought about what the idea behind them were.

It's probably along the lines of people wanting to predict what the rosters will be.

Kalyx triaD 04-05-2009 12:42 PM

But... why?

Forget it, I suppose from your end you feel like you're wasting time explaining to me so carry on.

Evil Vito 04-05-2009 12:55 PM

<font color=goldenrod>THQ/Yukes have made some more than questionable roster decisions in the past...mostly involving tag teams (up until last year they had a remarkable streak of 4 or 5 years in a row in which the current tag champs failed to make the roster cut) so it's become a source of speculation and unpredictability as to who is actually going to get in.

For years it was thought that the roster deadline was sometime in the summer but in past years it's been proven that the deadline is no later than the week after WM.

I actually did really well in my predictions last year...correctly guessing 49 out of the 50 active wrestlers that wound up in the game (only one I missed was Jamie Noble, hence my reluctance to predict him this year).</font>

Xero 04-05-2009 02:04 PM

I picked up SvR09 this year (after skipping 08) and I must say it's quite a good game. They need to improve a few things, though.

- Interrupting moves.

- Better pin and submission interruption.

- Stopping your own taunts (I do not understand why they took that out).

-Weapons physics. I'd especially like to see the ability to do moves on grounded chairs and whatnot, but there's something still off about them. 09 was still a huge improvement over 07 though.

- Ladder Matches. They need to revamp this entirely. I hate how it takes an unrealistic amount of time to get it off. Honestly, I liked the old style of hanging onto the belt until you got it much more than the meter. Not saying they need to go that way but they need to make grabbing the belt at any time possible. Also, better ladder physics.

- Tables should be more accessible for any slam-like move. The table-specific moves are fine but the old system, while glitchy, allowed for much more possibilities.

- Improved CAW. I understand why you can't use music online (copyright problems) and I understand why you can't use lettering online (pretty hard to censor something someone puts on their character), but no logos, for example, is a bit ridiculous. Also, an overall rehaul, but that's always needed.

I think the best way to improve CAW would be to build the actual wrestlers (aside from the faces, they can just use scans as the current face system is pretty robust as-is) in the same tool that's used for CAW. It would force them to improve the overall quality of the attires.

- Unlimited CAW spots. Let's face it, there's no reason to limit it now. (Do they? I didn't even notice.)

- Custom trons, built off the Highlight Reel engine.

- Bring back Create a Taunt.

- Improvements to Create a Move (best new feature in 09 by far).

- Allow you to play any match in any arena. I sort of see the point of the Rumble being only in the Rumble arena, but the Extreme matches ONLY in the ECW arena?

Honestly, I think they have the gameplay down. There are a few sections that can be improved, but the wrestling system itself is pretty great.

They really need to borrow more from the DOR system.

With a few notable exceptions, hopefully:

- NO Submission Mini-Game, where you have to try and guess what type of submission your opponent chose to put on you when they are applying a submission hold to you (in one of the DoR games, when you had a submission applied to you, the other person pressed up, down, left or right, each direction representing a different type of submission hold. You then had to guess which submission hold was chosen, and if wrong, struggle/fight your way out of the submission)

- NO longer than necessary load times. I don't see how this would become an issue, but then again, one never knows.

Some things I WOULD like to see:

+ Animated in-ring announcers when they are introducing the match and the wrestlers, instead of having them just stand there. The only time I've ever seen them move is when Kennedy shoos them out of the ring to announce himself.

+ Working secondary trons that are capable of functioning like we see on TV. Have the space on the edge of the display show the wrestlers' secondary tron instead of just a logo.

+ Custom art layers for your C-A-W's instead of pre-made logos from T-Shirts, etc. Give us what the DoR series had: a Paint like application where we have a 4-quadrant field ___ pixels × ___ pixels to create our own logos for use as tattoos, t-shirt logos, face paint etc. instead of giving us those crappy font things.

Krimzon7 04-05-2009 02:48 PM

SVR 10 will be okay. I want them to fix the CAF portion so that we can start from various positions. Not a bad first attempt, though. I would like to se more clothing/logo options for CAW attire. AND BRING BACK GM MODE

- Word, it makes the matches more dramatic

- Better pin and submission interruption.

-Yeah, the whole cutscene cut away is hit or miss because of the hotspot requirement.

- Stopping your own taunts (I do not understand why they took that out).

- OMG Yes. So annoying when you are stuck.

-Weapons physics. I'd especially like to see the ability to do moves on grounded chairs and whatnot, but there's something still off about them. 09 was still a huge improvement over 07 though.

- Actually, if you have the hardcore ability you can do things like DDT people onto chairs.

- Yes. I had one MITB match and it took over an hour because of the meter. :nono:

- Tables should be more accessible for any slam-like move. The table-specific moves are fine but the old system, while glitchy, allowed for much more possibilities.

- Yeah, it would be cool if only certain more powerful slams worked. And there is no reason you can't have both, but have the table specific moves activated with a finisher.

- Improved CAW. I understand why you can't use music online (copyright problems) and I understand why you can't use lettering online (pretty hard to censor something someone puts on their character), but no logos, for example, is a bit ridiculous. Also, an overall rehaul, but that's always needed.

- Word. The CAWs looked a lot better this year, at least, tho. But they still need to have a lot of the logos and stuff back that they got rid of. Again, a little borrowing from DoR (especially for the masks and create a logo) would be great.

I think the best way to improve CAW would be to build the actual wrestlers (aside from the faces, they can just use scans as the current face system is pretty robust as-is) in the same tool that's used for CAW. It would force them to improve the overall quality of the attires.

- Yeah, no reason it can't be done now.

- Bring back Create a Taunt.

- They had this before? Sweet. Yeah, bring it back.

- Improvements to Create a Move (best new feature in 09 by far).

- Yeah, they could add a bunch more animations so we can make some of those insane indy/Japan/Mexico moves. Twould also be nice if they had some moves end in submissions and the ability to flip the animations horizontally like with the strikes.

- Allow you to play any match in any arena. I sort of see the point of the Rumble being only in the Rumble arena, but the Extreme matches ONLY in the ECW arena?

- lol wut? Hadn't noticed that. Dumb.

Honestly, I think they have the gameplay down. There are a few sections that can be improved, but the wrestling system itself is pretty great.

They really need to borrow more from the DOR system.

- This struggle submission shit is kinda hit or miss. And why do other submissions not make you tap out? I like DoR's system of submissions being a button mash battle with the meter being forced left or right by the players. For all the submissions that aren't SS they should put that in. Additionally, in DoR it was a nice touch that some submissions were better than others: Flair's Figure 4 > regular Figure 4 > basic leg lock, etc

I'm inclined to agree with this for the most part. Gonna add and retort in red.

Can't agree more. Entrances are so much more dynamic and vibrant now because of them. No excuse not to make use of them.

#BROKEN Hasney 04-05-2009 03:07 PM

They should just do Day of Reckoning with No Mercy's ladder system (complete with the hilarious still holding onto the ladder as it falls thing).

Or start again. It's pretty horrible right now.

Xero 04-05-2009 03:10 PM

Why is one of the animations when falling off the ladder the "crotch yourself on the top rope" fall yet they can't get crotched? That has been bothering me ever since they put it in years ago.

Yeah, that was awesome back in the day. And that fucking bounce that followed. No Mercy. Good times. :)

Disturbed316 04-05-2009 04:04 PM

They need to port over the Rumble and Hell in a Cell form Legends, they were real improvements over previous games versions.

#BROKEN Hasney 04-05-2009 04:04 PM

I still prefer DoR's cell for sure.

Xero 04-05-2009 04:53 PM

They need the proper sizing for the cell (with real moves as well as cage-related moves). I loved DOR's cell but always hated the fact that you had to break an entire section to get out.

Funky Fly 04-05-2009 05:34 PM

It was only 3 Irish whips to break it. :?:

Plus, Last Ride thru the cage followed by moonsault off the top of the cage for the 3 = WIN.

The Gold Standard 04-05-2009 06:04 PM

They need to change the submission system, or at least give a better explanation on how to get out of submissions.

#BROKEN Hasney 04-05-2009 06:15 PM

And make all submission holds able to, you know, make people submit.

D Mac 04-06-2009 06:23 PM

I've come not to expect anything from these games anymore.

Xero 04-06-2009 06:30 PM

If they put Sid in the game and a special shitting mini game you'd be all over it.

Here's a new concept to GM mode....

What bothered me about the other GM modes was the fact that you could have 2 guys whos popularity is in the 90s and on a major PPV like Summerslam, have them go at it, and the match can have one guy dominate for 30 seconds and then be over, and it will be a 5 star rating and on WWE.com they'll say its a classic. Thats not a classic. Popularity shouldn't matter how good the match is.

They should add a feature where if you are going to have a classic match, certain objectives must be met. For example, a classic should have something like "Perform at least 5 strike attacks. At least 10 strong grapples. Receive 10 strong grapples. Attempt a submission. Kick out after 2. Do taunt" or something like that. Not only where you give punishment, but you take it as well to make it a hard fought match. Savage and Steamboat tore the house down because they went back and forth. Hope it makes sense....

But them the WWE.com shit was always so totally out of sync, so I can't say I give a shit if they do it or don't. Just saying.

#BROKEN Hasney 04-07-2009 05:00 PM

Man, I just played a 4-way Last Man Standing match in DoR2. This needs to come back as well as interruptable moves.

HHH had Christain in a pedigree and I used my CAWs running bicycle kick special on HHH while he was in mid air and knocked him the fuck out. I love how chaotic those matches are.

Funky Fly 04-07-2009 05:10 PM

Yeah, good times.

Kalyx triaD 04-07-2009 05:59 PM

Some of the most epic moments in professional wrestling happened in the DoR2 videogame.

DAMN iNATOR 04-07-2009 06:53 PM

Anybody else here wish they'd also bring back Create A Championship/Create A Belt or whatever it was called that was in SvR and SvR '06? It just kind of vanished with each of the past 3 editions with no real explanation as to why.

They also really need to make online more of an enjoyable experience. It's decent right now, but they should take more time to ensure there are less bugs/glitches and such. Also, it would be great if you could have any match type online, not just an assorted handful picked by THQ.

Xero 04-07-2009 07:02 PM

You'd think they'd be able to up the Rumble participants to 8 by now, at least.

Guess it'll take five gens or so before we're seeing 30 man battle royals.

Kalyx triaD 04-07-2009 07:08 PM

Actually the online mode is sub par.

I cannot condemn the exclusion of a Party System model (or at least something similar) enough. Any game that professes to have a quality online mode and not have a party system is fail, especially with a "everybody done, get out" lobby system like SvR's. All I need to hear is that a game doesn't have a set up like that for me to safely conclude that the online mode is utter ass (and I'd be right). I won't rag on the lag, because the game's pace is such a thing that it doesn't hurt from it. This isn't a 60fps dependent game here.

Kane86 04-08-2009 12:12 AM

isnt that the point I made about popularity?

Legends of Wrestlemania has a perfect example. In the Relive section, Hogan vs Bundy, you have to 1. Win the knuckle fight. 2. Make Bundy bleed. 3. Do Hogans finish. 4. Prevent Bundy from escaping. 5. escape and win.

prevent Bundy from escaping....theres you being on the defense. Yeah....if you have that in GM mode during a regular match and THAT determines how good teh match is....

Except that's not the current system they're using, it's a much more specific restricted system that would strike the majority of the fanbase as utterly retarded because they don't want to replay matches verbatim.

At that point, you might as well just skin Ninja Blade with wrestlers, since it'll have the same feel as all them QTEs.

Yeah god, the less taken from LoW the better. Jesus christ it's as if some of you people want another terrible game.

Loose Cannon 04-08-2009 11:18 AM

I want a wrestling game where I can book my own storylines, TV, PPV's and have it play out in the game. and real people can watch my show and your goal is to have your ratings stay high, while maintaining positive cash flow.

you can future endeavor people through the year and hire new people. And you have the option of buying out other gamer's companies who are doing shitty.

will this be included in this game?

Loose Cannon 04-08-2009 11:29 AM

so kind of like a really extended version of GM mode

Did anyone ever play Legends Of Wrestling 2?
The game was not very good overall but I thought the career mode was excellent.
You started out by performing at high school gyms, then local arenas, etc. There was tons and tons of different story lines for each region. Eventually, you got good enough and got to compete with the big guys like Hogan and Hart.
I would love to see something like that for caws.
They focus too much attention on the voice overs. Yeah it makes the experience much nicer but I personally don't think it is that big of a deal. I rather have a more solid season mode like Smackdown 4 and 5 than the voice overs.

I would like to see more wrestlers have a road to Wrestlemania storyline, and even a few CAW road to Wrestlemania storylines. Make half of them face only, and half of them heel only. Hell, let's just say 4 story lines each, and let two of them be mirrors (for example- A new kid wants to prove himself by beating The Undertaker at Wrestlemania, but how would a face do it, and how would a heel?).
I liked the drama that the road to Wrestlemania has, but no no CAW road to Wrestlemania kinda sucked.

Xero 04-08-2009 08:52 PM

I say make a Road to WrestleMania, use text except for a select few. The ones without voice overs could get randomly generated feuds.

Funky Fly 04-08-2009 10:18 PM

The only really redeeming things about LoW 2 were that you had multiple moves from basic suplex/slam start positions and that you could chain attacks into pins or submissions.

Absolutely.
I loved turning a scoop slam into a choke hold.
It was terribly cool when you got around to doing it and pulling off your finisher due to the consequence of reversing a move.

LOW: Showdown sucked. Yea, the roster was alright, but the game was choppy, the story mode sucked, it had a failed bullet time effect, and it didn't even see the bar that LOW 2 set when it comes to extra features in a game like that.

Agreed. There's been 8 men in a match in a SD! game in the PS2-gen era, but guess how far back you have to go: all the fucking way back to Just Bring It. :nono: I firmly believe they got lazy and took out 8-man matches as a way to piss off fans of the series, only to come back with a lame excuse: the technology of the PS2 is too limited. Pssh, as if!

Day of Reckoning 2's "new" submission system left many players feeling alienated.

Also to whoever said everything about DoR 2 was great, I'm sorry but I must disagree. As I've mentioned previously, the "new" submission system left much to be desired, and I did not care for the second straight WWE game on a Nintendo system with a hokey storyline like your superstar vs. Triple H @ WM 21 for the WHC -- but wait, the belt was "stolen", and then you go on a stupid-ass wild goose chase/whodunit, get framed, then banned from RAW, signed to a "lifetime" contract to SmackDown! by Theodore Long, and then, oh, guess who solves the mystery and becomes a hero to the WWE Universe by saving the day and revealing who "really" took the World Heavyweight Championship, which Triple H is, of course, all too glad to take it off your hands.

Kalyx triaD 04-09-2009 01:07 PM

I believe story lines in wrestling games are second... maybe even third priority. You make a good point, but it fails to put a dent in the legacy DoR2 left - with many of us citing that game's feature set (gameplay wise) to this day. It's like bringing up WWF No Mercy's lack of full entrances or HCTP's... well that game was damn near perfect, really. But you see what I'm saying.

#BROKEN Hasney 04-09-2009 01:42 PM

just bring it was using a modified PS1 engine which is why it could get 8 wrestlers on the screen. Once the graphics go up, the onscreen wrestlers go down. To be fair to Yukes, it's not being lazy, most of the extra processing power of the new consoles goes on HD textures.

Kalyx triaD 04-09-2009 05:13 PM

Not refuting you personally, but Gameplay > HD "Graphics".

DAMN iNATOR 04-09-2009 05:34 PM

Oh, don't know why I've forgotten to mention until now but another thing I'd like to see in '10 if it's ever made:

+ Take the C-A-W naming thing from SmackDown!: Shut Your Mouth (where you choose a name for Fink to introduce you by, i.e. Tommy Dreamer), and have it be chock full of names from WCW, ECW, hell even TNA and other organizations, as long as they are recognizable names, and put them in with all the generic nicknames like "The Monster", etc. so we don't just have to choose a gay sounding first name only (i.e., James, George, etc.). Also since you have can use a slider to determine height in C-A-W, I always wondered why haven't they made it where when you select, I dunno 287 lbs. for instance, why doesn't the character grow to that size accordingly with preset sizes for certain body areas and such, and allow the body area factors to be changed without having any bearing on what you told the "application" your superstar weighs?

SOOOOOOOOOOOOO...getting back to the *AHEM* POINT, is there any expected timeframe for an official THQ announcement, or have they not said anything at all yet?

Xero 04-10-2009 07:42 PM

Apparently 2010 is THQ's final WWE game under contract. This could be the make it or break it game for everyone involved, WWE, THQ and the players.

Kalyx triaD 04-11-2009 10:07 AM

Well... for THQ. WWE loses nothing and gains everything.

Xero 04-11-2009 10:08 AM

If WWE gives it to the wrong developer it could blow up in their face.

Imagine if they gave it to EA.

And now look back to WCW Backstage Assault.

Yeah.

Kalyx triaD 04-11-2009 10:39 AM

Well EA gets most improved award for the last two years so I don't know about citing a ten year old wrestling effort. EA's got some decent dev teams now.

I'd much rather EA have it than THQ or Activision..

actually it's YUKES that creates the games, THQ publishes it

But they don't own the license, THQ do and they decide who develops the games.

With THQ out the way, the liklihood of the successors giving it to Yukes again are slim (unless Activision get it and they'll ship it to them or Neversoft out of laziness)

Kalyx triaD 04-12-2009 11:18 AM

There's a good chance we knew that. We say THQ as a blanket term for all the teams unless we need to specify. We'll correctly cite AKI when speaking about certain titles for instance.

James Steele 04-12-2009 02:41 PM

EA getting the WWE license would be pretty damn interesting, and especially if they had the balls to put it with EA Sports.

D Mac 04-12-2009 02:43 PM

I seriously doubt they will.

D Mac 04-12-2009 02:44 PM

I can see the opening video:

John Cena: "This is John Cena, You can't see me! EA Sports, it's in the game."

#BROKEN Hasney 04-12-2009 02:48 PM

Rockstar I think would be the only unknown quantity with the money to pay WWE.

What if THQ don't renew (they're in financial trouble) and no-one wants to make WWE games?

D Mac 04-12-2009 02:51 PM

I'm sure WWE will find someone willing. As these still sell pretty well when they are released.

2009 didn't The only time it featured on sales charts was for November and it was the PS2 version at number 18. The 360/PS3 versions didn't chart.

DAMN iNATOR 04-12-2009 03:11 PM

No doubt word of mouth about the Career Mode and Road To WrestleMania that people spread must have had some role in that shocking news. Also C-A-W mode.

#BROKEN Hasney 04-12-2009 03:24 PM

2007 was number 5 best selling game of November 2006.

can only find top 10s of November 2007 but it isn't in it. They do have sales figures for the Wii version (shite sales figures).

It's just been on a massive donward trend since it became SD V Raw (sales and quality, 2009 was a step in the right direction, but only a step) as well as the WWE product getting lower in the ratings.

The Destroyer 04-12-2009 04:01 PM

It's incredibly unscientific, I know, but using MyGamerCard.net, you can sort of track the popularity of the games based on the people that have achievements for them. I dunno if this is purely the number of people who own the games and have an account on the site, or the more overall figure of people who own the games and connected to Live at some point, but there's a definite downward trend.

2007 has 243,877
2008 has 144,408
2009 has 80,957

It sells well enough that some developer would come along and take it.

Rockstar would be interesting, to say the least. If not WWE (considering Rockstar's edgy reputation) they could do something really awesome with the ROH brand.

Wrestling seems like something Rockstar would pick up. It's a nich market that they could bring to the mainstream. But, then again, Rockstar doesn't have much experience with fighting games, do they?

Funky Fly 04-13-2009 05:20 PM

Well, look at it this way: You're a casual WWE fan and an average gamer. You played '07 and liked it. You pick up '08 thinking this new career mode will be the bomb diggity, and it is not. It's so bad you'd rather be kicked in the balls than play it anymore. So '09 comes out and you remember how terrible '08 was. Of course you're not gonna pick it up, regardless of reviews.

Lord-Of-Darkness 04-13-2009 06:18 PM

You know what pisses me off? It may only be a small thing. But TLC matches just essentially being a hardcore match with ladders and tables thrown in. There is no option for a belt? Remember back in the earlier games where you could pick TLC title match or non title?

Now I know that if it included the ladder - belt mini game then it wouldnt be much different from the actual ladder match. But why not make TLC a bit different? Add different animations, like falling from the ladder through a table? Or the ability to take the chair to the top of the ladder to hit someone? Or doing what the Dudleys did, and laying a table across 2 ladders?

It just seems like it'd be simple to tweak, but instead its just a glorified weapons match with ladders and tables(which you can now use in Extreme Rules, rendering the TLC match pointless)

St. Jimmy 04-13-2009 06:50 PM

God 08 was bad. SO BAD.

Cuzziebro 04-23-2009 12:10 AM

Okay so I can't be bothered going through the last few pages of stuff but something that I thought about while watching an old Rock v Stone Cold match.

You know how during a match in WWE a ref 'accidentally' gets knocked down and then when he comes back to he counts slower because he's stressing that he is hurt. Well why not incorporate that into the game, it would make it more interesting.

During a match in the game a ref gets knocked down and then he lays on the mat like usual, but he sustains damage so that when he comes to he moves slower, counts slower. The wrestlers move slower when they begin to take some heavy damage so I'm sure the creators could incorporate the same system into the referees.

It would make the ending a bit more unsure once you hit a finisher, unlike in previous titles once you work the body or head to red and hit a finisher it is all over. A slower count could mean the opponent kicks out or maybe not, it would change from match to match. Thus making it more surprising.

Or am I just talking shit?

Kalyx triaD 04-23-2009 12:13 AM

That's a decent idea.

Anybody Thrilla 04-28-2009 10:30 PM

Honestly, I just hope the game gets made at this point.

Lord-Of-Darkness 04-29-2009 01:06 PM

I honestly don't think anyone else would make it as good as THQ if the licence got dropped. It took THQ 10 years of building to get to this stage. Sure, a No Mercy style game on this gen would kick ass. And THQ could do it, they've just gotten lazy. But I'm pretty confident that if anyone else picked up the licence right after THQ (lets face it, it wouldn't be in limbo for long) it wouldn't be up to par with the SD/SvR series.

All thats happened is THQ and Yukes (like Vince with the actual product itself) have gotten lazy. And while the product they are producing is still pretty good IMO, it could be much much better. The just need to pull their finger out big time.
