Better Wrestler #70

Eddie Guerrero clears the 4th round, and moves onto his 5th and final round. Will Eddie move to the HOF, or will he have to wait while a new Undisputed Champion is crowned?
Will Latino Heat tame the Lion?

DaveBrawl 04-06-2009 03:27 PM

I gotta agree with Jeritron.

Ruien 04-06-2009 03:30 PM

Have to give the nod to Eddie. Eddie could play a face and a heel perfectly, Jericho somewhat lacks in the face department.

Eddie could go up against someone like Batisita and seem to the average fan to have a shot, Jericho lacks that. Have to give the nod to Eddie.

Xero 04-06-2009 03:31 PM

Eddie has a bit more range in terms of character but they're about even in the ring and on the mic.

So Eddie.

Jeritron 04-06-2009 03:32 PM

Personally I think Eddie is better in the ring, while Jericho is ahead of him in terms of the mic and character range. That's just my take though.

Also, Eddie is one of the best ever in the ring, so while he is better than Jericho, Jericho is still extremely good. I think Jericho isn't the best ever in any one department, but is on a top level in every department. That's what makes him so impressive and consistently entertaining to me.

Xero 04-06-2009 03:33 PM

I don't think Jericho could pull off a silent promo.

Jeritron 04-06-2009 03:36 PM

I don't think Eddie could pull of what Jericho did over the past few months with a direction-less storyline.

I dunno, they're both incredible.

Jeritron 04-06-2009 03:37 PM

P.S I do think Jericho could pull off a silent promo

James Steele 04-06-2009 03:45 PM

They are both so awesome at everything, so it has to go down to me being a Jericholic since I was 7 years old.

RatedGSuperstar 04-06-2009 03:46 PM

The highest compliment anyone can give in these threads: Dude, fuck you.

I'm going to need some time on this one.

TheHaunted 04-06-2009 03:50 PM

I have to go for Jericho

Krimzon7 04-06-2009 03:58 PM

I have sided with Jericho. He is the man of 1,004 holds, the ayahtolla of rock n rolla, and the cure for WWE safe style. He's the man. He's still here too!

and dude fuck you!

mike adamle 04-06-2009 03:59 PM

jericho, just not an eddie mark, dunno why, i know hes good, but i just mark out for jericho more

Xero 04-06-2009 03:59 PM

I love you K7, but...

Anybody Thrilla 04-06-2009 04:05 PM

Jericho is the man. I think he's much better as a heel, but I don't agree with whoever said that he somewhat lacks in the face department. He has been VERY over as a face, and the same as a heel. There is just no way I can vote against Jericho because of his run as the WCW Cruiserweight champion. For my money, that was the most entertaining character of all time and nobody else could have made it work the way that he did. I'm a Jericho mark for life because of that run.

Pretty much exactly how I feel :y:

CSL 04-06-2009 04:14 PM

Eddie would be my pick but I'm still sulking so Y-ah 2-ah J-ah

Storer50 04-06-2009 04:57 PM

The Jericho insults to Stephanie are some of my favorites of all time

Nicky Fives 04-06-2009 05:14 PM

WHOA..... surprised with the landslide so far..... Jericho is my pick.... Eddie was good, but was taken far too soon..... if he was still alive, my vote may have changed, but 2008-2009 heel Jericho gets him my vote

Supreme Olajuwon 04-06-2009 05:29 PM

I liked Eddie a lot, but I'm a full fledged Jericho mark. Although both men get high marks for being able to rise to the top without all the political bullshit.

Londoner 04-06-2009 05:48 PM

Don't know how to choose this one. Two of my all time favourites...will have to go with Jericho, but not by much.

St. Jimmy 04-06-2009 05:51 PM

Jericho. EASY.

Arashi Kage 04-06-2009 05:55 PM

Jericho with Ralphus was the best! I always loved his WCW theme music.

Sorry Uncle Eddie, you're going down this round. :p

What Would Kevin Do? 04-06-2009 05:56 PM

Tough choice, I'm going to think it over, but, I'm leaning towards Eddie, probably because he's dead. It's not a sympathy vote per se, more along the lines that Jericho still has the ability to cement his career, where Eddie's career is now set in stone.

El Fangel 04-06-2009 05:57 PM

Coin Flip:
Results in Eddie.

i should've done that....!

Anybody Thrilla 04-06-2009 06:14 PM

I really can't believe this is such a blow out, but I'm glad it is.

Rammsteinmad 04-06-2009 06:37 PM

Okay, THAT was definitely the hardest BW so far!

Went with Jericho, coz I'm a Jericho mark and he's my second favourite wrestler of all time. However, I feel bad for voting against Eddie. :(

I kinda clicked on the link thinking "man, whoever they have against Eddie for round five won't stand a chance...". I totally wasn't expecting Jericho.

Stealth-Icon 04-06-2009 07:35 PM

My vote for the 1st unified champion....Jericho

The Gold Standard 04-06-2009 09:26 PM

Chris Jericho, imo, is one of the top wrestlers of all time. So, is Eddie, but Jericho is higher on the list

Kane86 04-07-2009 12:02 AM

Oh my god Jericho is winning...........FUCK YOU EDDIE FANS!!!!!!!!!!!!

This. Big fan of Eddie, bigger fan of Jericho.

Kane86 04-07-2009 12:42 AM

No thats the only rude thing I have to say.

Theo Dious 04-07-2009 01:15 AM

I really can't honestly say that there's anything Eddie did better than Jericho.

Lock Jaw 04-07-2009 01:23 AM

Gotta say they are both pretty Awesome at everything they do/did.

Were it an earlier round I'd probably vote Jericho, but I want to see Eddie in the HoF, so I vote him.

Innovator 04-07-2009 08:59 AM

Hmmm...

ummmm...

Eddie was a great babyface, great heel. Jericho played a great face, better heel.

Jericho's autobio does it for me. That and I'm a Jerichoholic through and through

Lord-Of-Darkness 04-07-2009 09:58 AM

Jericho marginly. Loved his autobio. Is he ever going to write a 2nd one about the WWF years?

Xero 04-07-2009 10:09 AM

DAMN JERICHO MARKS!

HE WILL NOW GO INTO THE HOF BECAUSE TPWW IS NOTHING BUT HOMO JERICHO MARKS!

/Kane86

Xero 04-07-2009 10:10 AM

LOL at the landslide though, thought it wouldn't have been more than 10 votes apart.

Yes.

Lord-Of-Darkness 04-07-2009 12:58 PM

Awesome. Probably one of the best, if not the best wrestling auto bio I've read.

Jeritron 04-07-2009 04:24 PM

Yea, I think it's coming out this fall or winter. The title is "Undisputed Attitude", and it will pick up where Lion's Tale left off.

Lock Jaw 04-07-2009 11:03 PM

Shocked that Jericho is winning by such a margin.

Hornicane 04-07-2009 11:20 PM

Fuck.

I can't even decide where to begin thinking about how to vote in this one. Both guys were/are probably the greatest of our time, IMO.

Fuck.

Eddie. I don't mind if Jericho wins, but it should be a lot closer in my mind.

Anybody Thrilla 04-08-2009 12:42 PM

Considering the path Eddie took to get here and the absolute domination by Chris Jericho here, there's absolutely no way Jericho shouldn't get to the HoF here.

Kane86 04-08-2009 02:41 PM

HOF bound is what he is.

Kane86 04-08-2009 02:41 PM

Jericho that is a good effort by Eddie but Jericho would run rings around Eddie

CSL 04-08-2009 03:03 PM

I can't believe anybody thinks Jericho is better than Mr. Perfect

Jeritron 04-08-2009 03:17 PM

Mr. Perfect once beat Jericho in this compettition. At the beginning

St. Jimmy 04-08-2009 03:19 PM

Perfect should be in the HOF. TRAVESTY.

Anybody Thrilla 04-08-2009 03:23 PM

I'm still pissed about The Macho Man, honestly.

Anybody Thrilla 04-08-2009 03:23 PM

AND HOW THE FUCK DID TAZ(Z) GET IN???

Kane86 04-08-2009 03:27 PM

Tazz is in the HOF

Who is the HOF on here?

Loose Cannon 04-08-2009 03:52 PM

lol what, Mr Perfect beat Jericho?

this is crazy.

I hope Y2J goes against HBK right before he can get in

Supreme Olajuwon 04-08-2009 04:14 PM

According to the results history, this is the 2nd time Guerrero and Jericho have met and Eddie won the first time.

Supreme Olajuwon 04-08-2009 04:15 PM

<select><option selected="selected">#8.Chris Jericho vs Eddie Guerrero (21-23)</option></select>

I guess this was before Jericho's current awesomeness

Loose Cannon 04-08-2009 04:20 PM

I love how Rock beats HBK, then totally gets owned by Angle. I bet that doesn't happen now. TPWW has gone a little sour on Kurt I think

McLegend 04-08-2009 04:23 PM

The Rock isn't too over with Tpww at this point in time.

CSL 04-08-2009 04:26 PM

Rock over HBK was a joke

McLegend 04-08-2009 04:27 PM

It was not a joke.

Loose Cannon 04-08-2009 04:28 PM

true.

Rock whiping the floor with HBK was probably one of the greatest days on this website.

Jeritron 04-08-2009 04:37 PM

Personally I voted Shawn over The Rock, but it was not a joke. These polls are just a representation of the TPWW opinion at the time. It's pretty cut and dry, undisputable.

Shawn will have a chance to get in at some point, and so will The Rock. Perhaps they'll meet again, I dunno. That's why losers can re-challenge after 50 rounds have passed. It shows how the landscape of TPWW changes, and how the current times reflect on a wrestlers reputation.

Personally, I think it's what makes it interesting. Who knew Jericho would blow out Eddie? Nobody.

I think TPWW was already down on Kurt when that match happened, but Kurt is still so Awesome that even with everyone being down on him, he still won.

Jeritron 04-08-2009 06:50 PM

Yea that match wasn't that long ago. TPWW was as down on Kurt as they were gonna get at that point

Anybody Thrilla 04-08-2009 11:46 PM

I think "Lightning Foot" Jerry Flynn should be the next opponent.

Kane86 04-09-2009 06:43 PM

The should try som big name Indy wrestlers. SO then you don't have to keep recycling the same wrestlers.
