Can't wait for this. The end of 1 got me interested in what's going to happen next. But it's still about a year away tho.

Hmm...don't know for sure, but it looks like they were hinting at the main characters' memories possibly taking him to medieval times this go round? Would be cool if so, but I am sure whatever the time and place settings, the game will probably be awesome.

I hope they have something cooler to offer this time around than just a sweet new engine.

Loved the first one, high hopes for the second.

I hope they put some extra effort into this. I liked the first one, but I felt like they rushed it out the door. The best example is throwing heavy templars and flags everywhere and you get nothing special for getting them all.

But I do hope they wrap up the business at the end of the first game in the sequel. It left me thinking "Shouldn't I go and kill that guy?"

I loved fucking around in front of civilians and hearing thier comments like "He should stop acting like a child" or "He's going to hurt himself, and when he does, I won't help him."

I liked the first one, but it was hella repetitive.

Totally skipped on the first one. I like the character design for the second so I might check it out. I was also impressed with the tech involved.

Pretty good preview article in the new Game Informer. Looks sexy.

It takes place around the time period Leonardo DeVinci was alive. Also, it has historical figures in it, like Machiavelli... I'm sold, especially if it's less repetitive then the first game (although killing people was so damn fun!)

Plus there is a version of DaVinci's flying machine in the game, which is dank.

I'm looking forward to this too. The first one was fantastic.

There are a few mechanics that I think they should work out, like tapping the run button repeatedly makes you look more like a crazy man than just running, so people should freak out when they see you do that. That would be awesome. I would also like to see the beggars beg from someone else other than Altair, because frankly, I hate when three of them surround me.

It should be in the bargain bin so I suggest getting it, or renting at least.

I thought they only do midnight releases for those really popular games that you are supposed to get and then spend the entire night playing online multiplayer. Don't understand why they would do this for Assassin's Creed 2

Nope. They've been doing it with games since PS2 and Xbox, before either of them had online features out.

This is due out already? Dammit, why must they pack so many releases together at the end of the year.

Not sure whether to get it now or wait until I finally run Modern Warfare 2 into the ground.

9.2 Outstanding

I picked up the first one in a bargain bin recently, but havn't had a chance to dive into it, what with the onslaught of new games we've been getting. Will probably check it out after the holidays, once things die down, and then pick up the second shortly after that.

Didn't care much for the first one(was a good game but did not blow me away) but I am much more interested with this one due to the historical setting. I have visited a lot of the cities in the game and study Medieval and Renaissance history so I would love to explore the cities and meet Da Vinci.

Rented it this morning so I could give it a try. Took me all of 15 mins of playing to realize why I never finished the first game. I hated the controls. I still dont care for them in this one also.

I really hate being high up on a building and trying to get him to jump to the side...and instead he jumps the complete opposite collection and falls straight to the ground. Ive been playing to much Infamous so maybe im expecting him to move alot like the other guy.

Yeah, if he lived in modern times, he'd definitely be considered a major nerd. Not to mention most experts seem to agree that Da Vinci may have been (not saying he was) a homosexual.

Anyone beat it yet? Im wondering how long the game actually is. Rented it the other day and hoping soon Ill just be able to sit and put a whole day into it to beat it before I return it.

Pretty long if you put the time and effort into it. You can probably buzz through it quick if you're going just for kills. But you're gonna miss out on so much.

Which timeline? The "present" or the past? 400 years if you're talking about the bulk of the game. Not very long if you're talking about Desmond's time.

God I dont want this game to end. Just finished section 8 and just spent the last two hours dicking about getting treasure and assassins tombs. Been so into this I haven't touched MW2 for almost a week now.

Pretty entranced by this game right now. Don't even want to go to Thanksgiving today so I can play this more. Only about 3 hours in.

I felt retarded everytime I was in an Assassins Tomb and couldn't figure stuff out

No-hitter trophy/achievement is a bitch to get. All I'm doing is getting into fights with guards just to get it.

Just went through the "re-training" shit with the security system. UGH. Fucking hated

Beat it yesterday on the last day I had it. Had to hurry through some of the side stuff, but I ended the game having done all the tombs, maxed my villa out, all the weapons and armor..

Didn't get the feathers or all the statues, but everything else was golden. Great game, can't wait for the next.

Got the harder/stupid trophies today. Should be on easy street the rest of the way.

Not sure, exactly, G, although I do know from checking the achievements page that there's 14 Sequences that have to be completed. I've been playing...not non-stop, obviously, for 4 days now, putting in a good 5-6 hours a day, so I'd give a ballpark figure (a very rough figure, at that...) of about 24-30 hours. Dunno for sure though.

Yeah, heat rises, and so naturally anything underneath the heat source will rise also, and the wind gust resulting from said heat also compensates for/explains the temporary speed increase.

Anywho, when I next feel the urge, I'm probably going to polish off what I have left of the storyline...gotta visit - UGH, "Roma"...

I don't think it'll take you very long, even at 1 hour a day minimum to progress through the main questline pretty fast. The side quests may be a little more time consuming though. And while it's definitely not the most challenging game on Earth, the plot is quite enjoyable.

Yeah done that, but never seem to get surrounded with guys when i have a sweeping weapon. Any hotspots to try it in?

Best place would be in the San Marco District in Venice.

Sit in front of that big building marked in red on your map and cause some trouble. Guard should come flying towards your position, but keep moving around the area to attract more.

Then what I did was Smoke Bomb a large group when I'm in battle. Then IF you got a polearm, use the sweep.

Will give it a shot.

Currently going round collecting feathers, pretty bored of it now.

I'll buy it used probably after Christmas.

100% this earlier, done everything that can be done. Looking forward to the dlc thats coming, hopefully its this missing dna segments from the story.

Finally beat it. Took almost 18 hours. Didn't really care for it at first, but started to like it more and more as it went on. None of the missions gave me any problems, only a few times did I die. Got 910 points for it, and gonna call it quits with it. Not gonna be bothered getting the 100 feathers. Good game, I would recommend it. :y:
