That's supposed to be the deadline for the official announcement of when it shall be released on Xbox-Live and the PSN

tu4ar is supposed to be the main theme song for the game "Take You for A Ride" but I can't get http://dev02.capcomusa.net/mvc2gmt/ to come up but... supposedly the official announcement date for what is probably the best 2d fighting game of all time.

Voiceovers from the corresponding actors in said movies?

Voiceovers is doable, but new sprites is a dream unlikely realized. New or edit-ready colors, though? Would love that. Maybe rebalancing the engine here and there. I'm just making it easy for Capcom.

The hilarious thing was how all the actors were available for screen capture. Not one had something better to do. It would be years later before movie games got that kind of Hollywood back up on a regular.

I'm sure Hugh Jackman and Robert Downey Jr. aren't doing anything...

Is this game still in hot demand? I remember people selling it on ebay and amazon for upwards of $100. I still have my copy for PS2.

The demand has only gotten worse, hell Gamestops are up to 75 dollars a copy. Less than two years ago they only wanted 55.

Considering I dropped $120 bones for my copy, I'm pretty sure I'm never gonna resell the sumbitch.

Sorry, WiiWare fans -- it looks like Capcom's recently down-counted brawler Marvel vs. Capcom 2 isn't coming to your beloved download platform. Responding to a forum post inquiring as to why the fighter was deftly dodging the Wii, Capcom corporate head Christian Svensson said, "This is a downloadable play, not a retail play. We don't actually have any retail rights on this project. And there's no way to get anywhere near the WiiWare file size limit here."

In other words, Capcom doesn't have the right to sell the game at retail outlets (Marvel is probably holding some rights there), nor is the game tiny enough to fit on the WiiWare service. Perhaps Marvel or Capcom, sure. But both of them? In one download? Now you're just being ridiculous.

Is it just me or are the health bars madd smaller?

The top bar shifts to whatever character is in use. The other 2 bars are shrunken to show that those are for the sidelined guys on your team. Never played this game have you?

Plus, they already said everything is 4:3, but the viewable background would be extended so it looks like 16:9 aspect ratio.

Report: Marvel vs. Capcom 2 scheduled for June 29 release

In reporting its Q1 2009 financial results, Marvel Entertainment has revealed a short release schedule for its upcoming licensed products, including those that require the frantic mashing of buttons. Though the dates are noted as being subject to change, the fine purveyors of POW! indicate that Capcom's PSN and Xbox Live Arcade release of cross-company brawler, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, is currently set for release on June 29, 2009.

A quick flick through our Official Age of Apocalypse Calendar reveals that June 29th falls on a Monday, and since neither Xbox Live Monday nor PSN Monday exist, one may speculate that the game may be due sometime during the week of the 29th. We've asked Capcom for further information, though suspect that we'll receive little more than a 768-hit combo of non-commentary.

If you're thinking the pending digital release of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is any indication that the path is clear for"Marvel vs. Capcom 3," think again. "The short answer is no, that's not any part of this deal," Capcom's Seth Killian lamented to Joystiq at a media event yesterday. "What we're hoping is that if people get really juiced about this title, and we can show Marvel that there's a lot of heat behind this, then they'll open up the door for us to do something with '3,' which is something we'd love to do." For now, licensing issues are preventing further developments.

The same is true for a North American release of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. "It's a lot of 'dance with the lawyers' on that one," explained Killian. "The rights holders for Tatsunoko in Japan are one company, but in the U.S. it's ... 13 companies -- and some are very attentive and some are not." So if you've been holding your breath for this one, you might want to consider coming up for air.

Killian also told Joystiq that Capcom is considering releasing Marvel vs. Capcom 2-branded arcade sticks (à la the popular SFIV controllers). "It's a discussion ... we would love to make it happen. If you saw the 'leak' of those MadCatz sticks, that was actually B.S. That was a complete fabrication, but it's something we would love to do."

Is Tatsunoko vs capcom made with the SF IV engine? Visually it looks similar. If thats the case I would kill for it to come out here.
