I remember when I first got Smackdown vs Raw 2006. All those fucking challenges that had to be done on Legend Difficulty. They were fucking nasty. I remember the Austin vs Rock one. I gave the Rock like 10 stunners and I could not get the count. Eventually I got better and got to beat it but while I was getting better I remember throwing the remote into the ground a few times.

I used to be a "Thower" now I'm a "Dropper". As in to drop the pad in complete disbelief at what just happened (usually a mate beating me on Pro Evo).

Gotta say though, I recently picked up a few games (Res Evil 5, Mirror's Edge, GTA IV) for £6 each. Gave RE5 a shot the other day, it's been a long time since I was a "serious gamer" (as in I usually stick to 'pick up and play games', Pro Evo, SmackDown!, et al) got pissed off within pretty much the first 10 minutes. First horde of zombies came, I keep getting killed. No pad throwing, just hit the off button.

Numerous times in FIFA 09 and any other sporting games where the ref decides to punish you for fouls, yet the CPU does exactly the same and gets nothing.

Never thrown a controller further than my seated position to the floor, never gone cross room.

I said "fuck this game" to Goldeneye N64 when I repeatedly tried to beat the Water Caverns level on 00-Agent mode. I'd get to the very end with a tiny bit of health left and then I'd come to that fucking corridor with the fucking machine gun hanging on the other side.

Sometimes I could destroy the machine gun and proceed forward, but then there would be extra guys waiting in the next room who would kill me. That, or someone would come from behind and kill me that way.

I still haven't beaten it. Fuck that game.

I broke the front face plate to MK1 once. It was in the SNES and I had lost to Goro for the 157000th time. Well I was upset and since the system was sitting on the floor I tried to turn it off with my foot. Well I kicked at the power button and missed and when I brought my foot back down my heel caught the top edge of the cartridge and snapped the front of the exposed cartridge right off from the rest. The look on my brothers face while I was holding half of the front plate was priceless (especially since it was his game). Anyway I taped it back up and tried it and it worked fine, but I still can't beat Goro.

I feel that if Johnny Cage could of done that kick he would of won.

I never did have much problem with Goro in MK1, Kintaro in MK2 on the other hand I got my ass handed to me on an infinite bases proving that the first time I beat him it was a fluke as I haven't beaten him since.

i never had a problem with either of them. mid-air kicks, that is all you need.

I could get Goro to like 1/4 of his life bar before he beat me. I seldom played MKII enough to fight Kintaro, though the few times I did he was much worse than Goro.

Come to think of it I may have beaten Goro once, but that was many years ago. I pulled the old MK games out a month or so ago and got demolished by them both.

Considering up until that point there was only 3 goals on 42 shots, I was doing rather good. It was the strongest team in the league. I had 39 Shots on them total.

I just went 1-23-1 in Cod4, what a fucking shitfest and after 20 losses in a row, I threw the controller.

I've thrown my controller mostly at my FPS games. like on cod4 i will have a great kill streak going only to have it ended by being pistoled from a camper. more recently dropping the controller while trying to beat ghostbusters on professional

But yeah I agree with mostly what's been said already. GTA races were brutal, sports games where the AI decides "there is no fucking way you are winning", COD online when I have one pretty good game to start and then absolutely blow the rest of the way.

When I was really little one of the first games I got frustrated with (and coincidentally one of the first I'd played) was Aladdin on the NES. Mind you, I was so young that the concept of strategy really hadn't entered my mind yet. So I was stuck on the boss on only like the 2nd level, a sheik or something.

So I kept yelling "THAT SHIT GUY BEAT ME AGAIN! THAT SHIT GUY!" cause I thought my mom said he was a shit guy, not a sheik. :o Anyway I got frustrated with it for days but finally figured out how to get past him and it felt like the biggest accomplishment of all time. Makes me laugh in retrospect.</font>

I still have not beaten Maximum Carnage. That shit is impossible.

i nearly threw my controller at the tv 2 days ago when i was doing the tasks on ufc and the dickhead goes down, i walk to the other side of the ring, literally as far away as possible and he starts throwing kicks from ground position for 90 seconds. meanwhile i had to get 2 more tasks to get the upgrade. fucking thing.

Fuck, I won 7 matches in a row on Cod4, then the connection is lost during two matches and the host ends the next 3 out of 5, so thats 5 fucking losses without even finishing a match.

Bumping this because I am on the final dungeon of Final Fantasy III, and I am almost ready to quit videogames forever because of it.

Like some games are super hard because they are broken. Like Silver Surfer on NES. I don't get mad at games like that because It's obvious that it is ridiculous hard because of shit programming.

But FF III is as hard as a game can get without being broken. So it frustrates me to no end. Also, before you even say it, fuck gamefaqs. Everytime I use it I feel like I lost, and didn't really beat the part I was stuck at. And I'm damn sure not going to use it on a game that was around before it even existed.

Because of this, I have to laugh at all the racist 12 year olds, and bro-gamers on live, who brag about their 6546548646 gamerscore, and how awesome they are at halo. There's still honest challenges out there. ODST's Firefight on Legendary, Devil May Cry 4 Bloody Palace, even Batman's challenges. It is true today's kids no little about getting blitzed by a game, but them's the breaks.

God of War I - the spinning blades on a wall you have to climb up. Wouldn't be as bad if it wasn't for the fact that each set of blades turns a different direction which makes it impossible to stop and Kratos can only climb jump to make it up the wall.

Max Payne and the 2nd "dream" level. The fact that the walkway is all dark and you don't have a normal jump but a slow-mo jump and the crying baby made that the worst non-broken level I ever played.

I would laugh and tell you to chill out it's only a game, but I'm the one who spent $370 on a window because I threw my controller through the front door.

Yeah, well I just couldnt take it anymore. I hate that fucking game, you can go on a 6 game winning streak which takes about 30 mins to do then have 3 disconnects and 3 hosts ending matches about 30 seconds in when their team is up by a single kill all in about 5 mins and then winning streak is erased. They really fucking need to do something about that. My record was 763-817 and I am sure that well over 200 of those losses were due to host ending matchs and disconnects.
