Have you ever interacted with ICP fans? I don't mean the casual "I like they're music" peeps, but the real hardcore ICP lovers?

I have interacted with ICP fans. In high school I had the opportunity (it absolutely was an opportunity) to get ICP's autograph at an in-store signing, and I went. The highlight of waiting in line was seeing a crowd of seven or eight Juggalos playing with an empty bag, lighting it on fire, panicking when the fire on the bag started to get too large, throwing the bag into a trashcan which then caught on fire, hearing one of them yell "Shit, we done fucked up!" and seeing them scatter away laughing.

Listen, I'm not going to sit here and defend all this to people who probably have probably heard one or two ICP songs (if any) for what would be the four millionth time in my life. I loved it at a certain time and it will always be with me. It's not for everybody (obviously), but it was definitely for me.

The beautiful thing about music (especially something as underground as the clowns) is that you don't have to listen to it. Have fun making fun of it, though. Seems productive.

Mc Chris is playing this and apparently a bunch of his fans are dressing up as storm troopers.

Pisses me off that anyone would treat Andrew WK like that.

When I went, Bubba Sparxxx ( :lol: ) was set to perform. His DJ was out on stage and it literally took him like ten minutes to come from the back. His DJ kept stalling and playing shit, sporadically saying "Hold up, I'mma bring my nigga Bubba out". The crowd got restless and booed like crazy. When Bubba finally made it out, he got about halfway through "Ugly" before he started getting pelted with batteries. He yelled "FUCK Y'ALL, D-12!" and ran off stage.

It was actually pretty hilarious.

ICP was cool when I was 12 or 13.

Now, my 13 year old nephew likes them...

No, see, what happens is there are three full days of concerts to fill. Psychopathic only has like five acts (some of them being hybrid groups such as Dark Lotus and The Psychopathic Rydas), so they have to bring in some outside acts to fill the days. Bubba Sparxxx was pretty much at his peak at the time, so they had him do it. If he would have been on stage on time, I think things would have gone differently. Esham wasn't on Psychopathic at the time and he played, and it was fucking amazing.

By the way, Tech N9ne is playing the Gathering this year and he has many times before. He's toured with ICP as well.

vanilla ice was fucking hilarious when i went in 2004. like half of the crowd was kind of into it and the other half didn't give a fuck. nobody even bothered to boo him. tech n9ne was sick as hell, though. his performance, dark lotus, and when J showed up on stage to do his verse in esham's "boom" were my highlights. that and all of the bud smoking. jcw was funny, but god damn is it terrible.
