I've seen a lot of people picking Forrest lately. Last time I saw Anderson fight he looked untouchable, that was a while ago though and I don't really follow the sport all that much. Guess things change?

He had two lack luster wins (Cote and Leites).. He is dominant at 185 and beat Irving at 205 but James Irving is not near the same league as Forrest.. Silva has never fought a guy as big as Griffin.. I just think Forrest is gonna come out banging..

Silva is still the man though..

As i have said, it's not that hard to post spoiler tags the night of fights.. I was killing time, bored, waiting around online for the fights to be hosted, so I could post them for those who didn't see them.. As in, I was trying to make this forum more enjoyable for the posters.. Only reason I was online was to help out MMA fans that hadn't seen the fights..

Once again, it's not hard to mark spoilers on here and it's just a bit of common courtesy.. If it's that hard for you, I'm sure there are alot of other forums about that don't care about these types of thing..

p.s. All the MMA forums I post at, have rules about spoilers..

This isn't a fucking sport. This isn't a competition. There is no sponsorship, or merchandising, or fiscal situations occuring at all.

Posting at a forum is not akin to legit sports, no matter how you try and find justification to this 'analergy'.

Nobody wants the videos in here as soon as the fights are over. They either have seen the fights live, or know where to look to see them. They are never posted that soon after a show. The vids have dates and times next to them when they are posted on the other popular, well known forums that they always appear on. You can see it is usually 4-5 hours post show.

We want to come online and talk about the fights. as they happen, after they happen. When it is on our minds and at the forefront of what we wanna talk about. This is the MMA discussion forum, not the MMA bullshit stats world, or the MMA video archive. It's a discussion forum. And you lambast someone for posting in a thread about a fight after a fight.

Tell me this, was Rob to wait for you to post in this thread, declaring that you, or better still, waiting until everybody has PM replied to you asking whether all the regs here had seen the fight before this particular discussion continued?

Nobody opened a thread declaring anything regarding the outcome of the show, or in any other thread for that matter.

Wrestling board spoilers are in effect from when a show that was recorded and the results were available until it airs. There are no spoiler warnings for PPVS. and why would there be? It is not my disposition to wait until you have bothered your arse to watch things repeated whilst you are lurking around here, restricting what I can talk about until you do.

yea, I like the videos because like I said before tpww is my first source for MMA stuff, so it makes it easier.

On the spoiler issue, I've always kind of held Rob's stance. I don't mind people talking openly about something that's already happened. if I don't see it, I just won't come on the internet or avoid people I know that would spoil it for me

I just always had the issue with things being taped and people spoling it before it actually airs live

Never failed me yet. They were all up within 4 hours of the show ending.

I know he is technically correct. He is the mod and made the rule. But my arguement is some people watch the show live, and have to be careful how we discuss it after because he isn't watching it until later, whereas everybody else just doesn't come to the MMA forum.

Because shockingly, people will be talking about the most recent developments in MMA. The whole purpose of the fucking place. The entire premise of changing how we discuss the current developments of the sport, because 1 guy wants to come here and not even discuss these events, but read things he MUST have read only a few hours before the show, because he was online 30 mins before it started.... -Krispy is overreacting here. People spoil shit on the internet all the time, with or without rules in place. Shouldn't have come into this thread before seeing the fights, since that was likely to happen.

-Rob should use the spoiler tags. That's what they're there for. You can say your shit without fear of anyone being butthurt. I pointed that out after the original thread was already edited by Krispy and Rob had retorted, but it went ignored. My bad for being late, I guess. Nevertheless, use them.

-Rob acted like a child spamming up the forum to get his point across. It's one thing to argue your point. That's fair enough, but that kind of juvenile shit will not be tolerated, especially by someone who is a former admin. You know better, Rob, so that's why I added the ban. I kept it short because it's not the end of the world, but I'd rather not have to clean up a spam tide every time someone has a disagreement.

I've never understood spoilers etc because if you follow the sport/whatever surely you are watching it live, anything else and you are playing catch up and should probably stay away from forums discussing it until you do. Having said that I tend to respect that the only place where you should probably only post spoilers is in the live thread (where it is implied without being marked as such) which as I wasn't here I wouldn't know what happened. I guess it got bad if Rob was banned but I don't think Rob would have went OTT which is the bit that confuses me. Anyway, I hope that this sorts itself out because the posters involved have been here long enough to resolve simple stuff like this out.

It wasn't even like he was reading a completely unrelated thread, it was this one! After they made the bet, the only reason to post in here for anybody would be regarding the result of the fight. The first post after the fight finished was always going to be regarding the fucking thread subject! There were no other posts in any other threads, or any new threads that mentioned anything about any outcome from UFC 101.

I still don't see how trying to upload fight vids involved reading threads about the fight he was yet to see, after it had finish.
