With the Hall of Fame Game tonight, Bills vs Titans, it is the beginning of pre-season.. The regular season is so close I can taste it.. I just hop I am able to make it to atleast one Saints game this year as I haven't been since before Hurricane Katrina.. Just look at it this way, the last game I went to our QB was Aaron Brooks and our star WR was Joe Horn.. That was a long time ago..

I am so ready for kickoff tonight, even though it's just pre-season..

To be fair though, the Giants do have ridiculous amount of defensive depth if an injury happens there. Osi's injury last year didn't hurt the D that much and now they have him back plus Canty, Bernard, Boley, etc.

Offensive injuries are the main concern for me. They are thin at wideout depth as is...can't afford anyone getting banged up there, plus Jacobs.</font>

I really don't know how that fake punt worked, once they saw the wing back start to motion back like that they should have known something was up and not gone balls out to block the punt. Even if they taught if they were running the reverse they should have just hung back a bit and stayed square, Griffin would have run like 17 yards to get a first down (it was 4th and 10)

Not trying to hate since it was a cool looking play but it should have never worked, doesn't matter if its preseason or not.

If you look at the replay, one of the Bills hangs back to snuff out the fake and then gets juked right on the Hall of Fame logo by Trapasso.

He gets deked by the fake end around but I guess at least he hung back a bit. Still though if you have ever played a down of football you gotta thing something is up there, why the fuck would they do that motion?

I dunno, I mean I guess you have to still try to block the punt if you're that close in case it's only a decoy. But yeah they definitely handled it poorly.

Saints are bringing in 36 year old former Bucs LB Derrick Brooks today for a workout due to the possible season ending injury to Mark Simoneau.. I know he is old, but when he was healthy last year he was still a beast..

Yeah I guess the decoy thing could be the biggest problem, still though if I saw that happening in front of me my first reaction wouldn't be to try to block a punt. I would be so caught off guard by that motion I don't know what I would have done, definitely not that though lol

Honestly, I dont care about the punt fake as a bills fan. Much more angered me. I figure even the guys who role is to block the fake didntthink someone would bust it out in the preseason.

Seriously, Fisher is an amazing coach, but he blew that play for the year.

I dunno if any of you saw Hard Knocks this week, but basically there was a scene where the coaches were all sitting in a meeting with team owner Mike Brown. For the duration of the meeting, the coaches, including Marvin Lewis, sat there and listened as Mike Brown told them what he thought they should do with their players. Now I don't know about you, but that really really aggravates me. Mike Brown is telling his coaches how to do their jobs. That's fucked up.

He is the paying the salaries so I guess he can do that. I see what you are saying though, you don't become a team owner because you are smart in the business sense, not the football sense.

It pisses me off. Sure, injuries happen every year like this, but fuck. I get so mad when a guy goes down in practice. I was looking at the newspaper today and noticed the number of guys who don't practice because of nagging injuries (specifically for the Giants.) What the fuck are these guys doing in the offseason? I'm no trainer or doctor, but most of these injuries have got to be due to lack of conditioning.

Just researched. Apparently Jay Glazer just wrote an article about some "unnamed" Vikings players saying they still expect Favre to be with the team come opening day.

I don't buy it. Favre retired. If he comes back or makes an official statement saying "I'm still thinking about it" or something, then be pissed at him. Until then, be pissed at Jay Glazer for not letting the issue die.

If Favre comes back, I hope the Vikings become the next team to go 0-16
