Just discovered this show thanks to Netflix. Anyone else seen it? It brings me back to my old Hercules and Xena days. Plus Bridget Regan is fucking hot as fuck. :drool:

Saw the whole first season already. Yeah reminds me a little of Herc and Xena with all the beautiful woman and filming in New Zealand.

She gets much hotter as the show goes on but there are also a lot of other hotties you should look out for. Can't wait for season 2.

I'm on episode 10, it just get's better as the show goes along. Good writing. I love Sword and Sorcery shits.

So you've already seen her in the tight leather outfit? The girl in the last episode gives her a run for her money IMO. Lord Rahl seems kind of a dork at first but later on he kind of seems bad ass.

It seems that the second season premiere's November 7th. Charisma Carpenter is gonna be in it. I don't know what to think since almost everybody in the show is an unknown or from Herc/Xena.

Season 2 starts this weekend!

I watch it as well. I thought it would be hokey like Xena and Hercules until I watched part of an episode randomly one night. Then I watched the pilot on Hulu when they still had the whole season available and got into it.

It's certainly nothing mind blowing, but it is a fun little series and there isn't much else in terms of fantasy out there.

I dunno. I watch the first 4-5 episodes, but after awhile the cheese and the naff story telling started to annoy me, and I realized I was only watching because I found the red-headed woman rather attractive.

At first I was like oh are they just trying to capitalize on the whole Lord of the Rings shit? But I kept watching it because it looked like it had potential. I think the production values are good IMO. And then I started to see hot women and actors from Hercules and Xena so I kept on watching and I got into it and it's not bad. It's much better half way into the season.

Richard looks like a bum now, like me. Cara is starting to win my heart the more and more I see her in that tight outfit.

They know how to appeal to their target audience. Charisma Carpenter seems to look hot again

These are still good. Wonder how the new Seeker Leo and Richard will co exist.

I haven't been watching much of this, but I just wanted to comment that Bridget Regan in the black outfit is 10 times hotter.

I liked how she was wearing white which made her look pure plus everyone else was wearing dark colors but I do like how some of her thighs are showing. It's just too bad you cant see more of her legs because she has some of the best I've ever seen.

I like the second season better already. Especially with the two most beautiful women on TV. I hope the Herc/Xena/LotS staff keeps making shows forever.

The prophecy about the Seeker failing, I thought that when young Zed named himself the Seeker and went to fight the Keeper and failed that this was what the prophecy was talking about but apparently not. So I'm thinking since Leo can use the compass but its pointing to Richard then they are still both Seekers now no matter what, it seems.

Hate this show so much, because it is based on an INCREDIBLE book series called "The Sword of Truth" by Terry Goodkind. However, this show is an absolute bastardization of the story, and they took liberties with practically everything.

Also, some of the acting is terrible.

The series is my favorite of all time. The story is an epic, and deserves far better than the lackluster quality of production done by the makers and writers of this show. Lord of the Rings jobs to The Sword of Truth, IMO. (I hate Tolkien's writing, but that's another topic better discussed with the likes of Seyda.. lolll)

Just watched the finale. Good fucking shit.

Guess season 3 will be about another quest to stop Darken Rahl again.

Yeah. For me it's like my favorite shows always get canceled. I'm still upset about Angel being canceled. And I hate Fox for canceling Terminator and going with Dollhouse. I love Eliza Dushku but in this one instance I'm going for something over the hot chick.

I think maybe it hasn't been officially announced yet so maybe all these fans petitioning might save it but it's a long shot. I gotta keep Kahlan and Kara on my screen for as long as possible.

Oh, I've been watching. Like I said, the first ep was so awful it crossed the line from "terrible" to "so bad it's funny."

I don't think D-Mac even understands why I dislike it. Like he thinks I am talking shit on it because he likes it or something. The neg rep by him was pretty uncalled for. I don't dislike it because it's terrible (although it is). I dislike it because it is a bastardization of my favorite book series ever. It's horrible because of that. It took a very serious epic and turned it into a cheesy half-assed TV show with people who can barely act, and changed the story so it barely resembles the actual thing, but still uses all the same names, places, and 'direction'.

I guess that makes it terrible though, so I suppose I do hate it because it's terrible.

I find it ridiculous to think that ANYONE could enjoy this piece of trash, because that is WHAT IT IS.

Honestly would rather tell everyone I know that this show is horrible and not to watch it, so that it gets taken off the air to prevent more people from thinking the pitiful excuse for a story it has is good or resembles the books.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter how bad it is, if there's hawt chix in it, it'll garner some attention on this level.

I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did, to be honest. Almost none of these actors can act, almost none of the characters have anything to distinguish them...Fuck, generally you're supposed to like or hate or relate to the fuckers in a show, and I mean, that would be helped by acting, but really, there's fuck all for characterization.

I still could see this as a "so bad it's good" cult thing, but beyond that, there's bewbs and...Well, that's about it.

The only character I even remotely like is the Wizard, and I don't even like him enough to remember his name.

but really, this is a terrible, terrible series.

Just started rereading the series. Am about a fourth of the way through Wizard's First Rule. Having a hard time finding a stopping point every time I read it as I don't want to quit. Was cool reading stuff I hadn't remembered after so long.

Just have the series on a torrent, as I only own like 3 of the books, and got the rest from a library. Good stuff.

It is not really the BEST writing ever, but I find it incredibly entertaining. It moves at a fairly quick pace, and the writing is somewhat to the point while still offering enough detail to paint the scene.

All I did so far was download a sample to my Kindle.

How are those anyways? I have been looking at the cheaper model, as it looks to be a great product with a huge library.

I'm a big fan. The Kindle 2, or I guess it's just called a Kindle now, is a nice size and very comfortable. I own the DX, too, the older one, but it's a pain to take with you in public. Reads very much like a real book (which means no backlight, but I don't like reading books off a computer screen anyway).

The sample's pretty good. I have a bit of a backlog, but I think I'm picking Wizard's First Rule once I've burned through them.

I can see the complaints about the grammar, but it doesn't bother me that much. It's a few stray sentences here and there that are kind of jarring, but at least it's entertaining as far as the sample goes. Worth buying the book.

They're also available on book on tape for those inclined to listen to them instead of reading them.

They were released before the tv series, so they don't have a reader that has any association with the show.
