The Office Season 6..
So, they hinted at Pam being preggers and that their might be a Holly/Michael reunion.. I'm guessing if she is pregnant, the wedding will be be sooner than I thought cause I think of Pam's character as being the type to not want to have a baby out of wedlock..
Thoughts?? |
I have a thought, how about you say when it is on
I apologize, if I made this thread, which I never would have, I would not have said when it was on, even if I knew.
Still though, when is it on,
How about you be germane to the topic and look up when it starts?
From Wikipedia:
NBC announced that The Office will resume its time spot on September 17th, 2009. The series writers began working on the episodes a few days after the May 14, 2009 broadcast of the fifth season finale, "Company Picnic". Continued: SPOILER: show |
Looking forward to seeing more of Erin. She seemed like a fun new character.
holy spoilers batman
It's all speculation except the start date and that Erin is a fun new character.
Edit: But I will tag it anyway. :) |
i like erin a lot
She was good in Cafe Disco..
Amazing..
If I can't scuba, then what's this all been about? What am I working toward?
I loved the whole Andy questioning his sexuality thing.. That was hysterical..
PARKOUR!!! PARKOUR!!!
Michael, AM I GAY?!?!?!
I wont Mention Cynthia.....hello, Cynthia...... The look on Jims face when he hung up the phone for Michael was amazing. |
i hope they stick with the new thing that just happened tonight. don't want it to just be a gag and then be over with after a few episodes.
LMFAO @ "you unzip your pants and find out there's a calculator down there.."
Holy unresolved plots, Batman!
Andy Bernard lives George Costanza's greatest fear.
Tonight's episode was so funny. Best episode of the season easily
rofl @ Kevin's shoes getting destroyed by hotel management
Damn good episode
I love this show :'(
Yeah, so many funny parts of that episode.. I hope they hook up Andy and Erin cause she's is just as goofy as he is..
I loved the cold open when everyone was throwing up and Creed was eating noodles.. |
lol yeah at creed
amazing episode. i thought michael was going to blow everything but i was pleasantly surprised by the twist. |
overall, this has been a fantastic season. and having finally gotten my hands on season 5 i've marathoned that over the last few days for the first time since i saw the episodes first time around. great season. this show just gets better and better.
A few notes about the wedding episode..
-Stanley was married to a white woman who they mentioned he was still married to in the rumor episode.. Now he is married to a black woman.. Was that the woman he was cheating on Terry (white wife) with?? -Pam's mom and dad were completely different actors than they were in previous episodes.. (Pam's mom was in "Sexual Harrasment" and her dad was in the season 5 episode were here parents get a divorce) DUNNO |
i'd imagine with them being such bit characters they don't try too hard to get the same people back. i think that stanley's wife was different from the dundies episode in season 2 to the auction or roast episode (not sure which) in season 5 to the wedding in season 6. i think.
At the end of that rumours episode, Michael still accidentally spilled the beans to Stanley's wife (with hilarious results of Stanley demolishing his car). The woman he attended the wedding with was the woman he was cheating with.
i always forget what happens so fast until i go back and watch the seasons again at the end.
Well, since I've been living off a generator for the past 4 months, I've watch every episode (season 1-5) about 100 times apiece..
:$ |
ALSO i want to marry erin
She is mad cute..
it's that damn red hair. so dark. and that personality. i hope they make time to get to know her character this season because the little bit that we've seen is just too much. so fucking goofy. but i don't want to see her date anyone in the office.
I think her and Andy would be perfect together..
I'm starting to think Angela is hot, is this wrong or ok?
Also, Dwight shooting down Pam's sister near the end, fucking hilarious. |
She was hawt too..
too many office relationships, though. i don't think it's necessary. you just end up pairing everybody off. as many as i can remember (counting warehouse and the same building):
roy and pam jim and pam ryan and kelly phyllis and bob jim and karen michael and jan michael and holly dwight and angela andy and angela kelly and darrel maybe more? but still. i don't need to see it. but if they do it right i'm up for anything, i guess. |

i'm seeing more of an andy & kelly thing potentially happening, what with the dance off during cafe disco and recalling that at the wedding. could happen.
Yeah, but I even thought that last season when Jim and Pam wanted to go to Ohio for their secret wedding and Dwight said something about getting your drivers lisence at the age of 14 and asked for her birth cetificate and she had it in her purse.. Very Andy Bernard thing to do IMO..
cafe disco, which is where i saw the kelly/andy connection. and i don't disagree. i just don't want to see her character get defined by a relationship so soon.
She said in on e of the commentaries that she was up for the part of the whip cream girl in Varsity Blues..
Your not serious? shes much older than James Van Der Beek and all those other hicks
Varsity Blues has gotta be 10-12 years old now. She'd have only been mid-late 20's. She can't be much older than Amy Smart
She is 6 years older than Van Der Beek per IMDB but she looks young and prolly could have pulled off 18 at 25 or whatever..
Very true.
I just forget how hold things are and how long ago they were. I still think 2002 was like only a few years ago. |
angela kinsey - 38
ali larter - 33 |
I am 28 and when clean shaven still get carded for cigerettes..

amy smart is also 33 btw

Weak episodes recently. The wedding ep wasn't nearly as epic as I was hoping it would be, and the Mafia ep really isn't touching any chords with me. Hmph.
Well you are gay. LOVED the wedding episode. Have seen it like 6 times now, and I still love it.
yeah the wedding episode is everything that i was hoping it would be and a bit more. perfect.
Jim's reaction to finding out Michael was serious about dating Pam's mom was possibly my favourite moment in the whole series.
Lol what Kind of car does she drive
Well she drives a Green... Jim: Fuck So classic. I was watching it with friends and 2 of us were in tears |
honestly one of the best episodes i've ever seen. dwight at the end was fucking brilliant. i hope that he keeps spying on jim.
Toby walking into the room and getting screamed at by Michael and Jim was great.
Yeah really liked that episode.
I would like to add one moment I loved, at the end when Jim spoke to the microphone, 'Dwight you put the duck back', and then Dwight just turns around saying he had to because of Kelly or something lol |
Hilarious..
Been watching the interaction between Michael and Jim over and over. So good.
"She's right on my way home from work" "THEN TAKE A DIFFERENT WAY HOME MAN" |
First half was crazy funny, but the second just kinda lost my attention. Didn't help that I was on my laptop while trying to watch it. My own fault. :(
Maybe the best episode of the series tonight.
Forgot it was on.
Great episode. Equal parts comedy, story and Dwight.
wrong baby WRONG BABY
Micheal was absolutely classic in last night's ep.
Also, kind of curious to see where this new arrangement between Dwight and Angela goes.
The Evolution of Dance-Dance
Micheal's new girl is HOT, btw.
Yes, yes she is.
dunno how anyone can say the british one is funnier than this
It's hard to compare them initially, but the US version has ran for like 4/5 seasons more than the UK one, not to mention the UK series only had like 6 eps in each one.
Both are just as funny in their own special way and I think that is the end of the discussion. |
Quote:
Per episode the US one makes me laugh out loud more, but UK one is just more magical. Hard for me to really explain why it was better. Just a better mix of all emotions, and when the laughs to come they are amazing. Still laugh so hard at the Training Day episode to this day.
At this point it's hard to compare the two because they are really only similar in name only. The Office UK was written with a finite end in mind so it never really feels dull. They tell the story they set out to and none of the characters overstay their welcome.
The American one is not that. It's well-written, but it's written with a "where do we go from here?" mentality. There are more opportunities to flesh out side characters with a longer time frame, but we also get into caricatures rather than characters and sometimes there are episodes that just aren't that good. |
Also don't know if this has been posted anywhere, but Steve Carrell doesn't want to do another one after next season.
I could see next season being the last season of The Office or they bring in a new boss for season 8 and get canceled.
I don't think there's been one episode in 6 seasons that I haven't enjoyed in some way.
Season 5 was very hit or miss. I enjoyed the unpredictability of season 5 but the jokes & some of the stories were just subpar. Season 6 has been pretty great minus the clip show and one other one I remember not liking.

It would be like when David Duchovny left X-Files. I think they should only continue as long as Michael, Jim, Pam and Dwight are all on board. If Carrell wants to stop next season, they should stop, and the same goes for the other 3. |

So Carrell's announced/confirmed he's leaving.
so brtl

I think it is foolish to not realize how instrumental Steve Carrel is to the show. He's in nearly every scene. Trying to continue on after he leaves is an idea destined to fail. They should embrace the end and go out with a bang rather than with a whimper.
I'd like to see Ricky Gervais or Stephen Colbert take over. I think the ER concept could work but they would have to commit to developing the new characters before making them main players instead of just half assing them into the spotlight which is probably what would happen.
It needs to end. The only other interesting hook on the show was Jim/Pam tension. They let them get married and have a kid thus ruining that story arch. Balancing home life with work life just isn't that interesting as a budding romance. Michael is def big part of the show, while the supporting cast is pretty hilarious they all lack that special something that puts Michael on the front and center of the DVD box art.
What if Creed became the boss?
At least he would have his arms wide open to his employees....
