Droford 10-06-2009 10:16 PM

screech 10-06-2009 10:16 PM

Wow this ring announcer sounds pretty bad.

Droford 10-06-2009 10:17 PM

holy crap..I wonder if they're keeping the ring announcer off tv to avoid trouble with child labor laws.

screech 10-06-2009 10:17 PM

She'll get better, though.

screech 10-06-2009 10:18 PM

Goldust is so over on ECW

Droford 10-06-2009 10:43 PM

Droford 10-06-2009 10:45 PM

ECW needs an authority like you to enforce those decisions.

screech 10-06-2009 11:05 PM

Very good show overall, though :y:

DAMN iNATOR 10-06-2009 11:08 PM

I dunno...I WANTED to  ECW tonight, but two botched finishes was the straw for me that broke the camel's back.

Afterlife 10-07-2009 09:17 AM

I don't recall any botched finishes. I will say Dreamer/Dust vs. Regal's Merry Men was just sloppy.

That explains why too.

Usually goes without saying.

Afterlife 10-07-2009 12:40 PM

Sadly, this is correct. Jackson was fucking up every three steps. I was immensely disappointed.

TheZman 10-07-2009 02:22 PM

Jackson has the look and carries himself correctly for his character. His wrestling needs a lot of work though.

Well, maybe in retrospect, botched was the wrong word, but the ref clearly fucked up by failing to realize Regal's foot was under the rope when he gave Tatsu his pinfall victory.

Then later in the night, surprise, surprise, Regal and his knights of the roundtable or whatever-the-fuck, get to stick around, sitting in chairs outside the ring by the announce table, "just watching", and then shocker of shocker when Ryder vs. Christian is fucked up by way of DQ because Regal & Co. decide it might be fun to pick on the champ while they can so they can get their precious "master" his #1 Contender spot...about the only good that comes of it is that even though he too was eventually beat down by Jackson & Kozlov, Ryder picked up a pretty cheap DQ win.

So in my mind, yeah, go ahead, book Jackson, Kozlov, & Regal v. Ryder, Christian, & Tatsu for next week. But considering that Tatsu and Ryder picked up wins this week (doesn't matter how it happens really), the two of them should have a #1 Contender's Match on the Oct. 20 edition. Anything other than that would be criminal.

parkmania 10-07-2009 04:45 PM

"Now approaching the ring..."

What bad wrestling game did she steal that line from? She said it for EVERYONE!

screech 10-07-2009 04:53 PM

It continues the angle of Regal wanting another title shot (thinking he deserves it) and getting screwed out of it. That "clear fuck up" by the ref was done to set up the ending of the show.

Didn't like that the main event was ruined, but it was good for the storyline they have going.

Triple Naitch 10-07-2009 05:03 PM

Ryder didn't win last night. He lost by disqualification, which is why he was so pissed.

If it weren't for you... Well, someone else would be correcting Damninator.

screech 10-07-2009 05:31 PM

Someone always corrects DAMN iNATOR

The Jayman 10-07-2009 06:13 PM

such a shame

TheZman 10-07-2009 06:15 PM

Ryder and Christian always put on good matches though. Up until the ending I really enjoyed it.

So, Tatsu v. Christian in the future then for the title? Oh, boy the fun that will ensue...

Mr. Nerfect 10-08-2009 06:00 AM

It seems pretty obvious they are heading towards a four-way program between them to me. :-\

Afterlife 10-08-2009 11:14 AM

I would not be upset with that concept.

parkmania 10-08-2009 04:11 PM

As long as the blow-off is a Four-Way Dance, and not a simple cop-out Fatal Four-Way.

I don't care if it requires the whole hour-long show to do it, MAKE IT SO!

kareru 10-08-2009 04:14 PM

THIS IS EXTREME

(edit:)

This Is Extreme?

Afterlife 10-08-2009 05:14 PM

I like Fatal Four-Ways.

Anybody Thrilla 10-09-2009 12:15 AM

Regal's foot being under the rope was obviously just a way for Regal to claim that he got screwed in his match and still has a right for an ECW title match. Settle down, DAMN iNATOR.

You missed my point. I was saying that given WWE logic, the outcome the fans would most want to see (most likely, anyhow) would be a Regal v. Christian rematch. However, the creative guys would probably go with Tatsu v. Christian for the ECW title "since he did get the pinfall on Regal, after all..." or some similar line of reasoning, when everyone knows Tatsu is nowhere near ready for a title reign at this early point in his career. That's all I was trying to say.

Juan 10-09-2009 01:39 AM

A title match doesn't automatically equal title reign.

Also, I don't see how Tatsu is any less ready than Zack Ryder, and you were all over that.

Afterlife 10-09-2009 03:30 PM

Let's be entirely open here: Tatsu is the hottest thing to hit ECW in a long time. I'm pretty sure his popularity has skyrocketted faster than Bourne's did. The people love him, and putting him in the top face group is a good thing. He's not just thriving off the crowd itself, but also getting the rub for hobnobbing with Dreamer, Xian and Goldy, as well as getting (arguably lucky) wins over the top heels.

The last thing the WWE needs to do is treat another fan favorite the way they treated Xian before he left. I think the way they're handling Tatsu is spot-on.

Skippord 10-10-2009 02:10 AM

I don't really like Tatsu at all

I think I'm racist or something

Skippord 10-10-2009 02:10 AM

wait I liked Tajiri nevermind

That's all you were trying to say by calling it a 'botched finish'? Come on.

Anybody Thrilla 10-10-2009 07:27 PM

On an unrelated note, Tatsu's theme has been stuck in my head all week.
