Really?

**SPOILER** Former WCW Champion To Host RAW Next Week?
By Ryan Clark on Monday, October 19th, 2009 at 11:08 AM EST

The word going around WWE is that former WCW World Heavyweight Champion David Arquette is rumored to host next week’s episode of Monday Night Raw.

Really? Why? So he can beat Orton/Cena and have won both titles?? Are they even trying with the guest hosts anymore?

Sixx 10-19-2009 02:59 PM

Hah, people totally saw that coming.

ministrychick77 10-19-2009 02:59 PM

i'd love arquette as host. at least he knows the product...

owenbrown 10-19-2009 03:00 PM

Vastardikai 10-19-2009 03:00 PM

heh.

Well, hopefully his money will be going to the families of workers who either died or are incapacitated.

The Jayman 10-19-2009 03:02 PM

He should come out with a World Title replica belt

CSL 10-19-2009 03:05 PM

Could be alright. He loves the wrestling business so he probably knows what is going on/who people are. Also he's bound to be enthusiastic and put in some effort and therefore not seem completely out place.

Also, fuck off Ryan Clark.

He could have at least tried a bit harder with his re-wording of it

Sixx 10-19-2009 03:05 PM

Why don't they just invite one of his sisters to strip.

I'd be fine with this! I'm willing to bet she shows up at the show too though.

more than likely

Evil Vito 10-19-2009 03:26 PM

lol was just gonna post this but when I saw a topic titled "Really?" I automatically assumed this is what it would be for :o

Gertner 10-19-2009 03:30 PM

Tremendous! I'll actually watch Raw from start to finish that night.

don't really want to see a tranny strip on raw

Sixx 10-19-2009 05:28 PM

Come on, Patricia Arquette is hot. As long as we aren't talking about Medium.

The Jayman 10-19-2009 05:45 PM

I agree. Patricia is quite hawt in the un-medium sense

D Mac 10-19-2009 05:48 PM

Also, Rosanna Arquette.

Mr. Nerfect 10-19-2009 05:49 PM

If Patricia and Courtney are there, I will be very happy.

I like the idea of David Arquette hosting, though. He's got some sort of history with the business. Things will hopefully run smoother. And if Randy Orton is still the WWE Champion, I will mark the fuck out for Orton vs. Arquette -- I don't care what anyone else thinks.

Swiss Ultimate 10-19-2009 05:51 PM

we need a good heal Raw host. This will work perfectly.

Sixx 10-19-2009 05:53 PM

Rosanna is like 80.

I'm actually thinking that David Arquette will do this to "redeem" himself. He'll probably get booed and be the butt of some jokes, but I think he'll announce some "pure main event" to repent for his WCW Championship win.

I could see it being where they do JeriShow vs. DX.

Wow, I thought there were only three Arquette siblings.

I looked this Alexis/Robert up. Wow.

But only for that fact that we should see Orton punt Dave's head into the next decade.

Xero 10-19-2009 07:56 PM

I want to hear a Ready to Rumble reference.

Also, what the fuck is he promoting?

"I've got a hot wife and you don't"

blake639raw 10-19-2009 08:16 PM

Considering he doesn't seem to have much of a career anymore, I'm sure this is being done to bury WCW to a whole new generation of fans.

Xero 10-19-2009 08:17 PM

They did a good job of that when DX pushed the WCW DVD.

Mr. Nerfect 10-19-2009 08:26 PM

Yeah, I think the WCW DVD will be a large focus of this. He'll probably promote some of his wife's stuff, too.

Xero 10-19-2009 08:30 PM

I have a feeling Santino will call him Gordi at one point. I'll mark.

Theo Dious 10-19-2009 09:00 PM

I really hope they tease a World Title match for him.

Xero 10-19-2009 09:06 PM

A tag team match for the WWE championship.

Theo Dious 10-19-2009 09:23 PM

Maybe this is going to be the catalyst for getting rid of the WHC belt design?

Jannettyzilla 10-19-2009 11:56 PM

If he brings Rosanna Arquette circa Nowhere to Run, I'll be standing at attention. Would be the best Raw ever.

Skippord 10-20-2009 03:32 AM

Joey Lagano and Kyle Busch from NASCAR will guest host WWE Monday Night RAW next week. There had been talks for David Arquette to host the show but those plans appear to be off for the time being. That’s not to say he still won’t host the show but it will obviously not be next week.

worse...epically worse

CWK 10-20-2009 05:57 AM

The celebrity guest host thing has run its course

Yep...ugh.

Ermaximus 10-20-2009 09:26 AM

So, who the fuck are these Nascar guys? I know who Joey Lagano is only because Gamestop paid him a shitload of money to drive the Gamestop car, and after 6 months he left them to drive the number 20 car that Tony Stewart used to drive. I mean, wtf can these guys push? Last I checked, they stopped making NASCAR games so I don't know.

The Jayman 10-20-2009 09:33 AM

they are pushing to get a bigger fanbase for NASCAR

Ermaximus 10-20-2009 09:45 AM

The Jayman 10-20-2009 09:48 AM

Ermaximus, I looked for your sign but I did not see it. Did you go?

Yea. I was near the very top of the arena so it's doubtful you would've seen me regardless. That crowd was horrible though. The guy next to me asked who Cap. Lou Albano was and I swear I wanted to punch him in the face. Crowd clearly had no clue who Marty Janetty was either. Such a shame.:(

The Jayman 10-20-2009 09:52 AM

 . I heard several Cena chants. Did you take part in that festivity?

Ermaximus 10-20-2009 09:54 AM

Hell no. I was wearing my The Miz shirt! There were so many young kids there, that's why Cena got such a huge reaction.

The Jayman 10-20-2009 09:56 AM

yeah the camera did focus on all the younguns when Cena came out

Target Audience. All in all, Raw was fun for me, aside from that shitty Diva's match and overly done Cena/HHH match.

The Jayman 10-20-2009 10:03 AM

I was excited when they announced Jericho vs HBK.

I was disappointed

I was too, and that ending was just a huge clusterfuck. But once Vickie came out, she clearly got the most heat of the night. She is by far one of the most hated people in the WWE.

Instant heat. It's kind of funny she's more over than some of the guys that wrestle week in and week out.

The Jayman 10-20-2009 11:18 AM

I honestly muted my tv after the first excuse me

Ermaximus 10-20-2009 11:20 AM

If only it were possible to mute people IRL. Man how much better my days at work would be if I could do that.

The Jayman 10-20-2009 11:34 AM

agreed. usually I will just have my mp3 player plugged into my ears so I don't have to listen to all the gossip BS

Ermaximus 10-20-2009 11:40 AM

I just want to throw a shoe at all the old people who annoy me here. Luckily I have a pair of tennis shoes at work so I have 4 shoes to throw, but sadly, there are 15 old people who annoy me here. Someone needs to invent a shoe boomerang so I can hit them all at once.

The Jayman 10-20-2009 11:45 AM

just tell them there is free prune juice in the break room...lol

Ermaximus 10-20-2009 12:10 PM

Or I could say that a spokesman from Social Security is here to revoke all of their secondary income?

The Jayman 10-20-2009 12:16 PM

or Buick is having a sale
