Medal of Honor... Modern Warfare?

EA's LA team is handling the single player, with EA's DICE doing the multiplayer. Not everyday EA throws two teams at a game, and they're pulling out the big guns with DICE at work for the multiplayer component alone. Hopefully they can flex with the current competition. MoH Heroes 2 was well received on the Wii, but that was Wii and a different team (EA Canada). Battlefield will be EA's answer this year against MW2, so I'm guessing this new modern Medal of Honor will go head to head with Treyarch's CoD next year.

MoHs past were good games. Hopefully this will step it up.

EA is saying they want their FPS position back, and are poised to take it back with Battlefield and Medal of Honor. Should be an interesting rivalry.

I'm with EA on this one, BTW. They have DICE.

I hope it has more perks than CoD4, MW2, and World at War combined.

I don't think I've played a MoH game since the first Call of Duty came out. Seems a bit ridiculous because I used to love the series and used to hammer it online.

I want to get this really bad. It'll be a nostalgia trip in itself just to be playing a MoH game.

Wow looks alot like Modern Warfare to me...Was watching that mutiplayer playing all those guys were doing and I completely forgot that it wasnt COD. I was talking to my cousin saying I liked how they changed the way it displays your kill points. Then it showed the MOH logo and I was like...Wow...forgot about that.

Kinda dumb how you have to pre order the game to get early beta access.

Played the beta, it's basically MW2 with Dice's engine. Same control scheme, only difference is to use the noob tube its L2(PS3 version) instead of right in the dpad.

360 beta is delayed.

I'd play the beta for this more if the PS3 version didn't have a freezing bug.

So how does this play compared to Bad Company 2? I know this will come off as a shock, but i didnt really like BC2. I tried, i really did...just like i tried to like BC1 and previous Battlefield games, but i just didnt like feel.

So that being said, is this more Modern Warfare? Or more Bad Company?

This looks very much like MW2 with slight BC2 aesthetics. Can't speak for how it feels but I'm guessing it'll feel like MW2 as well. Gonna assume it's basically 'MW2 done better', which I can get behind. Dice > IW, and the thought of Dice improving MW2's gameplay is alluring. Ain't gonna be no Nukes in an objective game, I promise that much.

The perk system isnt a bad one, so long as they stay grounded. One of the biggest mistakes IW did was begin to create perks that, quite frankly, cannot be done IRL.

Commando Pro, Marathon, etc.

BadCo wasnt a bad game, it was just too vast for me...i like smaller, faster paced 'on your toes' action. Bad Company was more 'get the lay of the land, sit on your ass, and shoot whatever walks by'

Its a definite merging of BC2 and MW. Plays alot like MW1, but clearly the engine and much more BC.

I am impressed, and i like it alot. You only get one damn map in the beta, so that kinda sucks.

you get shot twice and youre done. It is kinda annoying, but you gotta take it slower than MW2. Try the skirmish, its much less frustrating.

So, been playing this lately. Skirmish is WAY funner than DM, but ive unlocked hallow tip rounds, so my gun has been shredding people to shit now.

The skirmish game is sweet. You have to do like 5 objectives, each objective completion is timed, then the opposite team has to beat your time. Its like a sweet objective gauntlet.

It really is a freakin fun game. Im enjoying it WITHOUT a group of buddies, i could only imagine with.

It is a perfect marriage between BC and MW, and will definitely make me retire MW2

Amazon ran out of Beta codes so I canceled my order through there and bought it from the EA store. I have the beta now but I don't see a place to cancel my order.
