Who needs a DVD?
Outside of the obvious response: Chris Jericho...
I think Show could use a DVD. He's been around for well over a decade and has almost always been near the top of the card. Can't believe he hasn't gotten one yet. So who else needs a DVD? |

they did Edge, why not Christian...beats the shitty Botchtista DVD anyday
|
Chris Jericho
Also, a multi DVD set of the life and career of Andre the Giant containing a full documentary, and many matches. Very surprised they haven't done one on the 1st WWE Hall of Famer. Wouldn't mind seeing a DVD set on Bobby "The Brain" Heenan either. |

I think if they did a collaboration DVD on history of Manager in Wrestling, that is where a good spot could be done on Heenan. |

shows how much I pay attention to WWE's DVD and Video library. Must have not been a good seller. I never saw it in our local Wal-Mart. Where I live we don't have Barnes and Nobles, Best Buys, or any other big name corporate retail chain place where we can by wrestling DVD's. I get what Wal-Mart puts on the shelf and whatever I can get off the net without paying an ass arm and a leg for International Shipping.
|
A Heenan DVD set would be awesome, he is my all time favorite manager by far as has a long career to cover. I would like to see more matches from him back when he was a wrestler like in his AWA days, plus he was a great manager in AWA long before he got to WWE. I think a documentary covering his life, his wrestling career, his managing career, his broadcasting career, fun times on the road, time in WCW, funny moments, health issues and all of that would make for a compelling story.

Did the Road Warriors get a DVD yet?
|
I think WWE should do a DVD on the "Greatest Undercard Wrestlers" of all time. Showcasing the guys in the 80's, 90's, and early 2000's who had that company calibur attitude and blue collar work ethic, but never made it to the top or held the big one in any of the companies. I think they should make selections from the JCP's NWA in the 80's, WWF Obviously, and WCW. That would be a great DVD in my opinion and I would watch it.

Road Warriors have had a DVD

here you go man, awesome DVD and only $12.33 right now on WWE.com click the link |

thank you for the link, i am definately considering picking that up
|
They should do one on the "misfits" of wrestling. George the Animal Steele, the Oddities, The Moondogs Spot and Rex, etc
|
Fake Diesel.
Or better yet, Kane. It can be called "The Rise and Fall of Kane" and it can document his many monster pushes and their ensuing trend of not going anywhere. |
WWE should make some big bucks and start re-releasing full WCW PPV's on DVD. I would love to have the Halloween Havoc's, Starrcade's, Great American Bash's, etc.
|
Kane had or has a DVD I believe

WWE has "The Rise and Fall of ECW" DVD online right now for $11.48. Deal of the century. Also The Monday Night Wars DVD for $10.10. Good one too.

Rise and Fall of ECW and Monday Night Wars were both good dvd's and i'm very proud to say that they are in my collection already and will be for years to come.
|
The Rise and Fall of ECW DVD documentary was easily the best one ever made. 3 hours long and covered pretty much every aspect, star, and significant information about the company from the time it was founded to when it was folded. Awesome DVD.
|
I am actually surprised that Vinny Mac hasn't done one on himself. His upbringing with his father, announcing, taking over and "conquering" the other territories, ECW and WCW to make the juggernaut that is the current WWE.

So how about the WWE DVD's huh
|
I think its time and been well worth the wait to have a Randy Orton DVD
|
Wouldn't mind seeing a DVD set on different families in wrestling like The DiBiase's, The Guerrero's, The Hart's, The Von Erich's, etc. Maybe a profile of each wrestler and how their family influenced wresrling and some matches, that would be good.
|
I have seen the DVD on The most powerful familes in wrestling that WWE put out a while back, but I would like to see a DVD set on just The Hart's, or just The DiBiase's, etc.

WWE could make huge dollars by offering customized DVD's like Wal-Mart does with music.
Imagine going online and choosing favorite matches/promos from whatever PPV or RAW or Smackdown and then they make a DVD for you and send it to you. Would be really good if they had that. |

Owen Hart. Or even just a "Hart Foundation" DVD.

Fuck me, I didn't see page 2. Good call RVDNick. :y:

Steiner Brothers
|
wouldn't steiners technically be counted on the greatest tag teams dvd, and no one really wants to hear about Big Poppa Dump and his singles career
|
A sting DVD would be nice . His TNA one was good but a WWE one with a few of his matches with flair
|
That would be awesome and they don't have to have permission to do it since they own the rights to the WCW and NWA video libraries...kind of like how Hogan signed with TNA and WWE just dropped a DVD on him

Aren't they jumping the gun on a Morrison DVD? Let him win a major championship first.
|
All it means is that he'll get more DVDs down the line.
|
Oh sure. Look at Jericho. He had a tape, what, a year into his WWF run? And he's just NOW getting his DVD, a decade later.

I would like to see a Jake Roberts DVD.
I am surprised no one has mentioned it yet but...anybody think a Terry Funk collection would be killer? there would be so much damn material to use it would be crazy. |
There is a Jake Roberts DVD out.
|
For the record, here's a list of every DVD WWE has done: http://www.thehistoryofwwe.com/dvd.htm
|
I'd like a DVD on Raven
or DDP |
A DDP DVD if you will

I actually remember buying it at blockbuster. The Kurt Angle tape too. They both came out on the same day |

Is this your auction btw? Or just one you found? |

Probably a bit hard to do since most of the picture would contain blurry WWF logos but I wouldn't mind something a DVD set called "The Attitude Era - RAW/Nitro".
It would be a series of DVDs where each DVD contains the best Raw and Nitro show of a given year (1997/1998 to 2001). It would also be a whole show minus the commercials so nothing of importance is cut off. |

WWE Presents: Wrestling's Best Heroes & Villains
Disc 1: The Best of the Best- Wrestling's Greatest Heroes Includes face promos and matches. Disc 2: The Best of the Worst- Wrestling's Greatest Villains Includes heel promos and matches. Disc 3: The Best vs The Worst Just epic face vs epic heel matches and promos. Not quite a "Name one person to get a dvd" material, but the idea seems cool. |
The WWE dedicating DVD sets to Andre the Giant and Big Show would both be cash cows, in my opinion. Andre is an icon of the industry, and Big Show is deceptively well known. He's got a long time in the business, and some great matches. Bringing out the DVD could also refresh him in some people's minds.
CM Punk has been in the WWE for three years now, but has had some great moments and already has a pretty storied career so far. A CM Punk DVD, covering his debut in ECW to where he is now, could be an interesting set. Christian has had some classic matches and moments, and you'd be hard-pressed to find a guy more consistent than him currently. I know that I would actually buy that DVD. Shelton Benjamin is a random one I'd suggest. He's had a seven-year WWE career, where he has never been a jobber and has often been on the cusp of main eventing. If they put the ECW Title on him, I think it would be a great time to start thinking about putting some of his best showings on a DVD. |
There's already an Andre the Giant dvd.... Albeit a more up to date one would be nice.
Just have other wrestlers talk about him, and have someone with a light french accent do the voice over for a documentary. |
I can't see the WWE doing it, but I would definitely snatch up a William Regal DVD set. The documentary would be fascinating, especially if they go deep into Regal's background, and even touch on things like him kicking the crap out of Goldberg and being booted from WCW for hurting "the golden boy." They'd have to kayfabe that element up, though. JBL could recite stories about how Regal held him against a wall on his first day there (can't remember where I remember hearing that). Triple H could talk about the impact William Regal had on his career, and all that. You could even do a chapter on some of the men Regal has trained, continuing on his legacy.
The matches would also be fantastic. He's got an unusual style, but Regal's matches are so full of nuance -- I would love to see an alternate commentary track with Matt Striker pointing out everything he can about what Regal is up to in the match. I've long been waiting for a main event push for Regal, and it was coming last year, until Regal fucked it up. A DVD like this could go a long way to giving Regal that "respected veteran" quality that often alludes him, just because he doesn't win as much as he could, and because he is so great at playing a villain. |
I would actually be cool with a Best of the Women's Division DVD, focusing on the early years then the Attitude/Early WWE era. As long as they'd make it actually about the wrestling, which I doubt.
|
so my boy would like to see a crime tyme and vampiro dvd.
for me, i'd like to see jericho (of course), christian, orton, dreamer, miz.. there's a few wrestlers that could use a dvd. but will they get one? probally not. i mean, bats of all people got one. and he sucks. i'd almost see a michael cole dvd first. (though that's a drinking game waiting to happen) |
