I'm not against the angle or storyline... I just wish it was played out a lot more respectful. Mickie isn't even close to being "kind of big". It's pretty ridiculous and insulting to women.

Yes, but at the same time the announcers are making comments too. I wouldn't be too against it if it was just one girl she was feuding with, but it's not. My wife would get a little pissed if she saw and heard some of the stuff they were doing.

Katies promo's were dead. There was no heat coming from her. I've heard from other wrestlers tha she was just too stiff in the ring.

Also when they picked her up for a suplex or something she was just dead weight! no helping or aiding. I also heard that she never hit the gym- just slept the entire time - LAZY!

yup Katie did get buried. belive her last match was a casket match against HHH. Just glad they didn't go with an inferno match.

It's going to come down to whether Mickie gets her revenge in the end. If she doesn't, and the angle is just dropped or whatever, I think those rumors could be considered confirmed.

My problem with the feud, is that McCool's insults and such have actually made Mickie cry. I would be thoroughly enjoying it if Mickie was like "You know what, bitch? I'm happy with my body; I'm a competitor; and now you're going to see my psycho-bitch. Remember that side of me?" That would be cool. Mickie crying and basically acting like she is fat is what's ruining it for me.

The angle is just making Mickie out to be a frail bitch. Sure, she might overcome this in the end (hopefully), but even so, it's still not great execution of what could be a perfectly awesome storyline between McCool and James.

No I find that if you produce a show you should be able to touch on any angle that you like.

If you can't do a "girl is fat angle" then you shouldn't be able to do a "2 black guys act like thugs" because that would be a double standard.

My problem with this angle is I think it is stupid because she is not fat at all.if she were 15-20 pounds heavier then OK the angle makes sense.

I actually like the angle. It is really building on McCool's heel character and also it shows that Mickie has some emotion ( a weak spot if you will). Having Mickie cry imo makes it better b/c you would expect her to just shrug it off and say "so what" but her crying makes you feel bad for her and furthers the heat on McCool.

and yes Supreme I also see the irony b/c Mickie is not fat.

I almost forgot as far as the degrading to women. WWE has done much worse than this. Eventually we'll see Mickie overcome the odds and beat the shit out of McCool and the message will be that all girls who get called "fat" can stand up for themselves

The Matt Hardy vs Edge fued.

Edge sleeps with Matt's girl, Matt has the chance to become a legit maineventer running on the emotion of the worked shoot, He's jobbed the fuck out to Edge in every altercation save for one. Later on, Edge says on TV (!) "I'm not wrestling Hardy again, I've proved so many times that he's beneath me." Matt's answer? "Yes Sir. :("

My point? It's just as likely that McCool's going to kick Mickie's ass, keep her title, and the angle will be dropped right there. Infuriating logic, yes, but it won't be the first time they've taken an angle in a retarded direction. :-\

If I had any faith that WWE was going to pay this off in a satisfying way, I wouldn't be as opposed to it. But I don't. Truth be told, I have little faith in anything WWE does. But especially when it comes to bringing a tasteless angle to a conclusion that makes the crap we had to wade through worth it.

This is my problem with the angle. And it's only a small problem. I'm generally enjoying the female angles on SmackDown! far more than RAW. I just don't completely agree with the execution. Yes, women are sensitive to such matters as weight, but by crippling Mickie emotionally as much as it has been shown to, I can understand why people feels it sends a message that you need to be as skinny as Michelle McCool to be accepted as "not fat." And while Matt Striker is more of a heel commentator than most, you don't even really have Todd Grisham standing up for Mickie, saying it's okay to be in healthy form. So far, Mickie is not proud of herself, and no one else is standing up for her, either. It's almost like the subtext of the feud has been "Yeah, Mickie is meant to be fat."

But that doesn't really bother me on a moral level. I hate the whole PG shit. Mickie and Michelle are only going to settle their problems with violence anyway. Great job, WWE. It bothers me on an interest level, because I am finding it hard to really get behind Mickie James as a protagonist, because so far she has been emotionally abused by McCool without any sort of recourse. Hell, she got her title shot, and she lost. The WWE could completely save this, of course. At the end of the storyline, Mickie James will probably be a strong, confident woman, and possibly a five-time Women's Champion; but it's just not interesting me now.

Absolutely. I remember seeing people doing the Matt Hardy "V.1" hand signals. It's hard to believe Matt Hardy was so fucking over at the time. The angle caught on like wild-fire, and while I can understand that they don't like re-hiring people and giving them massive pushes out the gate; they really shouldn't have released Matt in the first place.

The first time I was underwhelmed by Matt's return was, well, Matt's return. Vince McMahon cut a promo saying he always listened to the people. Then Matt came out of Vince's limo, came to the ring and shook Vince's hand. This was just calling for Matt to take the mic off Vince, tell him to shut up, and point out that if Vince listened to the fans, Matt Hardy would have never been fired for speaking his mind in the first place. BAM! Twist of Fate.

Second time Hardy looked like a tool, was when he finally got his long-awaited revenge on Edge...in a match where he got his ass kicked and the match was stopped and awarded to Edge. I know they wanted to stand behind Edge a little, and didn't want the story to conclude there. They could have had Matt take things out of line, and get himself disqualified against Edge, though. Something like that would have given Edge the win, Hardy some revenge, but still held off the big pay-off.

Ultimately, the WWE proved they are afraid of money by holding back on Matt Hardy that year. The same thing sort of goes with Christian. Instead of listening to the fans, who were rabid for him that year, they instead decide to ship him off to SmackDown!, and wrestle a series of matches against Booker T, with no story behind them, in the south -- eventually leading to Christian jumping to TNA. Great job, WWE.

I'm just imagining how hot the following tag team match could have been in 2005: John Cena & Edge vs. Christian & Matt Hardy.
