THE EMOTION THEY SHOW

I was actually excited when they announced no showcase last year. It was fun, there was little reason to play it more than once. I was glad they were investing more time into game modes with replayability.

Then the game came out, and said modes had the same minimal improvements as every other year.

Career mode at least sounds fully reworked, just hope they took some of the boring slog of it out too while making the backstage area and side quests.

Since there hasn't been a peep about Universe mode, I'll assume it's the same bollocks as usual.

If NBA 2k18 is any indication, Switch version of WWE 2k18 could end up being plagued with some serious storage problems. All depends if 2K Games really cheaps out on the cart size for this game like with NBA 2k18.

The biggest cart available is 32GB and they're expensive. You can't find FIFA under £45 here like you can on other formats.

With the game being about 50GB normally, it's likely downloads will be needed even if they don't cheap out.

With NBA 2k18, 2K Games only went with an 8GB cart which isn't enough to hold the base game itself. Also likely poor optimization but that's been a general issue plaguing consoles since the PS3.

At least with something like Doom, the entire base game is on the cart and multiplayer is offered as a separate download or like with RE Revelations 1 & 2 where you at least get the entire first game on cart.

Which is enough for me to not purchase the game. Fucking ridiculous that such a promising mode has been half-assed for so long.

I'll take ages to set up everything the way I want in the mode and then get bored within an in-game month.

Maybe one day poeple will stop buying these and they will be forced to make a good game

They're announcing DLC every hour. Elias, Ruby Riot, and Drew are in.

And they did officially announce the Hardy's as DLC last night after my post above.

PC version being released on the same day as console versions.

Can'tput my finger on on exactly why, but matches in wwe games just don't feel " alive" like they do in fire pro.

They're going to reveal the packs and pricing tomorrow.

IGN and 2k forums are having a nuclear meltdown screaming about how the $30 deluxe version is nowhere worth it because they went from nearly DLC characters last year to 10.

But it seems clear that today's DLC will be split into at least two packs: NXT/future stars pack (Drew, Black, Ruby, Elias, Lars) and a legends pack (Beth, Express, Hardys).

The Glorious DDT being in the new moves pack advert is making me think Roode will have that pump handle slam he used for a couple of weeks as his finish and then lock the DDT behind the new moves pack, which will be fucking hilarious.

Small question since I've never played or bought a WWE game since the Gamecube era, how long does it take to normally unlock all the regular wrestlers in a game?

Is it just the more matches you do, the more you unlock or you need to hit very specific goals to unlock them?

Last year you basically earned “currency” and purchased who you wanted. The more you played/higher star rating of matches the quicker you earn/can unlock.

Isn’t it basically the Edgecution, and Edge is in the game?

Ever since they added the Accelerator pay option to these games always wondered if it became a lot more tedious or harder to get a full roster.

Yeah, with that bit if flair to stick the afm out and yell glorious.

I'd be OK if the standard version made it in and the tornado version or rolling double version was in the moves pack, because they came even later and were GLORIOUS.
